I really liked the show, specially because of the dynamic between the characters.
It was a fun show!
Tried and failed to get deep, but did otherwise decent with telling an original story in an already established universe- which is basically near impossible.
Can't wait for the next book.

Yes the show has a pacing problem, it's way too fast, and this is because the episodes were originally going to be 30 minutes instead of 25 but they had to change it (probably Netflix has a finger on this), but that doesn't mean that the show is completely shit. I've been reading a lot of reviews for this show, any negative score lower than 6~7 is mostly usually pure garbage with no valid points, just like your comment.

I liked it, a lot actually. Davion and Mirandas relationship was well developed, the conflict between the elves and the moon goddess was tragic, the action scenes were well animated and the Invoker's backstory made you really understand his motivations. It was a fun action animation and that's all I wanted out of it, but it delivered more.
The problem is the execution of all these concepts. This show has outstanding art and pretty good animation, but nothing else aside from that. A forgettable experience.

I personally enjoyed it, the main character was very likeable from the start, the animation is pretty top-notch, it may be a tad disjointed but for how short it is I feel like that was fine as it got enough done to be an introduction to a much longer story

I feel like this show is the definition of B-. Fine enough, not the worst, not the best. I don't regret watching it, but my life is not somehow more complete having done so.

the magic space rock is actually a manifestation of the power of the dire. You would have got this had you paid attention to that exposition in the begining you considered useless.
I actually liked it a lot, though I’ve never played any of the games so I don’t know if that’ll change my opinion. The I was at the edge of my seat almost every episode, and the last episode made my jaw dropped. The only thing I really didn’t like about the animation is that the transition from scene to scene is kinda weird, it just fades to black every single time, instead of a natural transition like how a lot of good animation.

Yes. The voice of Davion is miscast. He sounds like a young pretty boy, but he is styled a big buff hunk, so a deeper manlier voice should have been more suited for him. Whenever I hear his voice, he reminds me of Sasuke.

i actually didn't see the explainings that are done by dragons and invoker as overcomplication because this story is part of the lore of dota and so I found these pieces of story and exposition a great part of worldbuilding the world and its rules are explained in the game and different characters story so the show was trying to catch everyone up on the HUGE amount of lore that has already been built I am sure that these pieces of information are going to be used in future (or at least I hope so because I really want this show to do good!) I think they could have explained some of the stuff in next books and paid more attention to more characters but I still liked the show and the lore a lot . and thanks for the great video as always.

AS A DOTA FAN I was able to more or less just ride it out while having fun recognizing things. I also had a really nice time seeing the story play out, which was REVENGE: THE ANIME. It was short, yes, but definitely felt more like a test series to get things down rather than diving properly into the massive, talking-beast insanity that is DOTA's larger cast.
This channel doesnt kinda suck, this channel does suck!

Say what you want about Dragon's Dogma's animation and ending, at least it did more with it's r rating than just blood and swearing.
That and the MC felt like an actual Guts homage+more monsters than just trope dragons.
Also if we're going to have an Hard R animated Fantasy show why not do D&D? Especially when this game looked like it was for 12 and above!

Castlevania is a series done right. The art style is beautiful, the characters are enjoyable and the series keeps you on edge. I’ve said it once and I’ll say again, “The guys behind Castlevania are doing god’s work!”

I watched it recently before now watching this video for the first time. My god I didn't remember anything from this series
I think the best thing that I can say about this show is that it’s super fun.
Like I loved the characters interacting, the main plot I didn’t care about, the actual characters I didn’t care about, but watching just the characters talk and stuff was super fun.
Mirana and davion just talking and arguing and flirty with Marcy providing hilarious reactions was just the best thing ever. The entire show is basically just Trevor and Sypha screwing around and I loved it, but when fymryn joined the group it was amazing, the characters are average at best but fymryn, davion, mirana and Marcy have personalities that play off each other so well, the way davion and fymryn just like adopt each other as siblings and mirana gets so pissy about it and Marcy is reacting just made my day sadly we only got one episode of that.
But seriously remove the plot I just wanna see the 4 of them screw around

The series had a little too much exposition and really needed to get rid of certain B plots in episodes but I had fun watching it and I'll definitely check it out if it gets a second season
My problem with this was that I was so confused. I had never even heard of DOTA before the trailer popped up on my TH-cam. I was so confused through out. There was so much lore and so many things included thar didn't make sense to me. It felt like this was something you'd only understand if you had background knowledge of the world prior to the show

I honestly really enjoyed it, ESPECIALLY THE VOICE ACTING. I do think it needs more time in the pot but I enjoyed it a lot. Invoker by far is the most interesting character and to be honest i actually loved how his daughter was the one who stood up to her own mother because let's be fucking honest here. Nor her mother actually called her "daughter" when she was dying, she never played with her not even talked to her for that matter. How arrogant it was to actually say in front of her daughter that her father should submit to her and she needs to in order for her to be cured, the little girl who most likely didn't want to die yet and just wanted for her mother to actually act like one died hating her but she most likely also hated the fact that she wouldn't be with her dad too. I don't blame the invoker for his actions, especially the revenge part. The goddess deserved it and she is actually the one who in the end killed her own daughter, I admit she did kind of had a sad face when her daughter told her off but it was her choice to let her daughter die. The worst fact is that she let her die just to let her husband suffer, yeah honestly she deserves to die.
i do agree that basically the entire season was just a set up for the next one, but as a dota fan im ok with the expositions even if they were clunky

the 4 elements and 4 forces have representations in dragons AND as heroes in Dota (game), meaning that the thing is an integral part of the lore and that these 8 characters might appear in the future.
I liked how we got both marvel vs Capcom Spiderman and Spider man Ps4 voices together at the beginning

My greatest issue with this is that it was just wayyy to fast, give us less characters or the same characters with more time to hang out with them. We speed ran a dimensional threat without enough growth to play a real part in stopping it.

I, for one, loved it.
I think this series is really good, the only problem is that Netflix still thinks that 8 episodes can be called a season when each episode is roughly 30 minutes only, more so in animation (I know it can work but it is difficult, this one did work but It still suffered).
I think it gets worse because Valve should have more than enough money to give to make the seasons bigger.
Even so, I liked this one very much and many of the emotional moments got me, some better than others but I am not one to expect "perfection" and I am excited for the next season(hoping that it has one).

I liked this show alot, one of the best animes ive ever seen. Only after i played dota and gained very minimal knowledge of the game it grew on me. At first i thought invoker was just another generic elf then i realised what invoker is and how cool he is. Davion, Kaden, Invoker were some of the best anime characters ive ever seen. Even the Princess and Marci were 10/10. The lore was great all in all. My only gripe is Eldwurm should be spelt wyrm but w/e.
Season 2 came out and i forgot everything lol

I just had a hard time caring for Damian. He didn't have that "save the cat" moment for me. I THINK it was supposed to be that bar scene and him saving Mirana, but that didn't really feel earnest, and was pointless (story-wise) when we find out that Marcy could've handled it single-handedly.

My apology but i need to speak for my Favorite game being criticized and spoiler alerts
So first and Foremost the Ancients are, They as said they are Primordial Mind of a Single being which got divided into two being
Dire and Radiant, Radiant focuses in intellect and believes intellect to be superior
While Dire believes strength to be superior.
This debate had no form until they had a grasp on material world, now being able to control and force their wills to other they turned their simple debate into bloody action causing the great event known as D.O.T.A defence of the Ancients
Now the Spoiler part, there is third Primordial mind named Zed, He is one imprisoned Both dire and radiant on a moon which they escaped and now his trying to imprison them back but to him they are too strong so his basically waiting for them to exhaust themselves and part them before they regain their powers
To simpler term they are basically your Brain parts Left, Right and Corpus Callosum but what if left and right work independently while the Middle one tries to make them work together.
To me Radiant and Dire is lacking third person opinion but even if Zed told them that, they would too much into their pwn belief
I honestly love all three seasons and think it's one of the best animated shows I've seen in years, however, I do agree that it's a little hard to follow at times (I'm still not sure I fully understand everything even after multiple rewatches) and each season suffers from feeling a bit rushed occassionally and probably could have benefited from a few more episodes imo.
You know I can see this not ending up being as bad as Voltron...it might end up being worse
