I was reading Luke today (12/12/23) and came across this verse which confounded me; this video was very helpful pointing me to Micah which I have not read yet. The Bible is so powerful. “In your Mercy put an end to my Foes, all those who are oppressing my soul, for I am your Servant.” Psalms 143:12

Jesus means, if there is any members who agreed to follow and love Jesus selfishly but some of his family members are not, such disagreement would cause them to quarrel and divided.

The only means Jesus had for saving us was to teach us the Truth, and that is what Jesus was crucified for, for teaching (Unconditional) Love. The teachings of Jesus were felt to be seditious! They offended those in power, who wanted to remain in power. The authorities believed Jesus was revolutionary, and thought that Jesus wanted their power, but they were wrong. Jesus had no use for earthly power! No desire whatsoever for any of the things most people crave and mistakenly believe will make them happy. Jesus knew better! Jesus knew that happiness could never exist where (Unconditional) Love was not. Jesus came to teach (Unconditional) Love, not grab for power, not even spiritual power. Jesus also did not come to build a church or find a religion, but to correct the distortions within the Torah. This is the intent of Jesus today! As many of the teachings attributed to Jesus are misunderstood and are distortions of the Truth.
People have discussed the return of Jesus and asked each other: Has Jesus really returned? How has Jesus returned? Why did Jesus not come in the clouds of glory as the New Testament declared? Why can Jesus not be born as a baby again? But if open-minded people will consider these options for a moment, they will surely see that if Jesus did came in the clouds of glory with the angels, Jesus will be of little help to humankind. We will be in vastly different vibratory frequencies and how will Jesus teach from the sky? The churches, who claim to believe in the existence of Jesus, has been as self-absorbed in their own humanly conceived religious traditions as have the materialists. Now, at the Eleventh Hour, when fear has descended on the masses, and the churches are prepared to heed the true words of Jesus, the doors must surely open or again the efforts of Jesus for humankind will be in vain. Jesus has returned to sort the goats from the sheeps, as has been recorded in the gospels in the Bible. The sheeps refer to those souls who can peacefully receive the highest spiritual truth yet dispensed on earth. The goats refer to those who do not have the capacity to listen to anyone or anything because they have too great a rebellious spirit and ego-drive. Why will the sheeps be separated from the goats? The sheeps will be separated from the goats because those who are able to receive the truth contained within the Christ Letters, A Course In Miracles and A Course Of Love, and live by the guidelines of the Laws of Existence, will find that although the next period of the history of the world will indeed be bitter, they will continue in comparative peace, protection, fulfillment of need and upliftment of spirit. The goats, unfortunately, will have to endure all the horrific force of their innate rebellious consciousness. Ministers of Christianity will see their churches taken over by those who has realized that Jesus has indeed returned to humankind to reshow us the way to find and enter the Kingdom of Heaven. There will also be those whose positions of authority are threatened by the Christ Letters, A Course In Miracles and A Course Of Love from CHRIST - from Jesus. They will oppose them mightily. There will be vilification of every kind through the services of every type of media - from people who have no scruples in stirring up public wrath to make money from destructive, vindictive sensationalism.

Please understand that when Jesus make such statements, he is referring to "Christian religion," to the "tenets of faith," to the "dogma and theology." Jesus is not referring to those great spiritual souls who have sought - and continue to seek God and Truth beyond the dogma and beliefs. Many of these have received the inspiration of Jesus into their minds and hearts but are afraid to let go of cherished beliefs. They are hampered by religious practices. But the time has come for them to let them go and grow in spirituality and awareness of the true SOURCE of BEING and free others too.
It takes someone like Dr. Pitre, steeped in the Old Testament and its prophets, to open the eyes of Christians in general as we usually know only one side of the story of Redemption. I find the passage in Micha discussed in this video really obscure and the words of Jesus in Luke equally bewildering, as do many people; but I think I understand a little bit more now and how it refers to the tribulation that was/is necessary for Redemption, thanks Dr. Pitre

Jesus was probably warning people in general not to make an idol of the family. The best example I can think of in the Bible of this making an idol of the family and of family members is the incident of Jonathan with Saul, when Jonathan attended the seance with Saul with the Witch of Endor. Jonathan died the next day. Was he saved? He was a good person and deserved the right to be saved, but did his loyalty to family ruin that chance? This happens to a lot of people.

It is so evident Catholicism and its doctrines are guided and revealed by the Holy Spirit to the people. Those weren't made through the reasoning or judgemental abilities of the human mind. That makes Catholic church is the Christ's church.

The devision is in the church. Traditional vs modernism Pre Vatican II vs post Vatican II novus ordo. Tridentine vs new liturgies minus the Canon of the mass. God have mercy on us and restore the mystical body of Christ to it's proper worship .
So Jesus is telling us to endure the pain of being divided from loved ones in our own family? Then what's going to happen on the day of judgement that will alleviate that pain? What will make the pain of being ostracized from my own family worth enduring? Will this division mean we will be permanently separated from loved ones who don't see eye-to-eye with us on the day of judgement, never to see or hear from them again? God will just cast them aside like so much trash? Really? What could possibly outweigh the pain of that level of separation and division?
If you choose God but your family members don’t, what else can He do? Not honour their free will, which He gifted every intelligent, wilful being with? God doesn’t cast souls aside. Soul cast God aside and in the end, He respects and honours their free decision.

Still divides families today. A whole family may call themselves Christian, but can be very divided as some members go all in following Jesus, getting very deep in their relationship, while other family members have belief, but lack real relationship, knowledge, & understanding of Jesus. Often they can't stand the family members who are following Christ, hating their changed behavior that looks more like Christ. It can be very troublesome for them.

This text is an insight into the underlying view of the Bible free conscience. Some will for ever grow in knowledge, and will not be threatened by other Christians who while growing in knowledge have different beliefs. Others think that if you don't believe everything exactly like them, you are their enemies. Therefore divided. Catholic ecumenism for example is very deceptive. They tell me "please let not doctrines separate us" while telling me my doctrines are wrong. On the other hand, my protestant friends (at least the once who believe is the Biblical freedom of conscience) don't treat me as separate, but rather engage me in GOOD debate and prayer examining our doctrinal differences. And so if people (by and large) believe Jesus is ONE WITH THE FATHER and they believe salvation could not be possible without Calvary they are Christians. AND UNITED WITH ME. And honest enough not to be scared of doctrinal (not personal) criticism.
@po18guy I was a Catholic. But I refuse to worship the saints. You will tell me the Catholic Church does not worship the saints but I disagree with you. In the Catholic system a million people can pray to a saint and he will hear all of them. So a human is elevated to the position of a god. And millions of people will kiss the feet of its statue etc etc etc. Please read the second commandment as it is written in exodus 20 of your Catholic bible. Not from the catechism. It will tell you not to BOW to any images.

In a family of five, two against three, father in law against son in law and vice versa, mother in law against daughter in law are on rights versus rights. Heirs of parents are their sons and/or daughters but the parents are not automatically the heirs of their sons and/or daughters. The heir of the father in law is not his son in law and the heir of the son in law is not his father in law. The heir of the mother in law is not her daughter in law and the heir of the daughter in law is not her mother in law. Our Lord was referring to the new converts among the Romans and the Greeks, the highly civilized world at that time in comparison with relatively uncivilized Jews. if you've read the true historical account in the initial phases leading up to then Emperor Constantine, there was turmoil and upheaval among the Roman families- Father against sons, daughters and vice versa for embracing Our Lord or our Christian faith. and denouncing the Roman Gods and this goes for all new converts to Christian faith which creates a division among the families.. a light cannot be part of darkness and let the dead bury the dead .. its a dead end if you DO NOT believe in Our Lord.. The narrator of this video states that Jesus was quoting a prophecy in Micah 7 when he said "Do you think I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division...(Luke 12:51) However, there is no Micah prophecy that speaks of a time of division among the people in the time of Jesus. While Micah speaks of a troubled time affecting the people in his own time this is not a prophecy concerning affairs 700 years in the future. It would be madness to think so. "If any man come to me, and HATE NOT his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." - Luke 14:26. This speech by Jesus is personal, directed towards any would- be follower. And not only is it a cruel one, it was designed to separate a follower from his family-leaving Jesus as the sole authority. Moreover, it appears, Jesus, aspired to be the leader of a cult following.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is to reconnect people with their essence. When the truth is presented to people, they don’t always accept it for a multitude of reasoning. The human experience deals with “choice” (non-biblical word for “free will”). As such, there are different beliefs about life and the afterlife. If one holds firmly true to their belief system-division, dissension, and/or discord are amongst contrary views. Look at the two-party political system on how government should be ran. There is a split similarly with spiritual beliefs. Dr. Pitre explains Jesus’s teaching of how deep that split can go-all the way down to your household. From human experience, those dealing with this, it can be extremely frustrating.
@@sixtodomingo8715 My explanation was simple. Not all of Jesus’s teachings were simple, but his message of the way of the cross was. That is why biblical study is important to interpret and understand what did the author intend to communicate, what did God mean when he gave the words to the author, and how does the meaning match up with other scriptures.

I was reading Luke today (12/12/23) and came across this verse which confounded me; this video was very helpful pointing me to Micah which I have not read yet. The Bible is so powerful. “In your Mercy put an end to my Foes, all those who are oppressing my soul, for I am your Servant.” Psalms 143:12

But if open-minded people will consider these options for a moment, they will surely see that if Jesus did came in the clouds of glory with the angels, Jesus will be of little help to humankind. We will be in vastly different vibratory frequencies and how will Jesus teach from the sky?
And if Jesus were to be born as a baby again, there will be all the unproductive years of Jesus growing up and how will teachers cope with him? Jesus will be more argumentative than his last time on earth.
Jesus, through receptive minds, has been trying to alert the world, but neither media, nor publishing house, nor TV, nor religion was prepared to listen and give Jesus the opportunity to speak to the world through his agents.
Politicians can reach the world - but Jesus cannot do so because of the stubbornness of the hearts of people and their refusal to concede that Jesus can return at this time through deprogrammed and dedicated minds to warn nations of what they are creating for themselves.
The churches, who claim to believe in the existence of Jesus, has been as self-absorbed in their own humanly conceived religious traditions as have the materialists. Now, at the Eleventh Hour, when fear has descended on the masses, and the churches are prepared to heed the true words of Jesus, the doors must surely open or again the efforts of Jesus for humankind will be in vain.
Jesus has returned to sort the goats from the sheeps, as has been recorded in the gospels in the Bible. The sheeps refer to those souls who can peacefully receive the highest spiritual truth yet dispensed on earth. The goats refer to those who do not have the capacity to listen to anyone or anything because they have too great a rebellious spirit and ego-drive.
Why will the sheeps be separated from the goats? The sheeps will be separated from the goats because those who are able to receive the truth contained within the Christ Letters, A Course In Miracles and A Course Of Love, and live by the guidelines of the Laws of Existence, will find that although the next period of the history of the world will indeed be bitter, they will continue in comparative peace, protection, fulfillment of need and upliftment of spirit.
The goats, unfortunately, will have to endure all the horrific force of their innate rebellious consciousness.
This is NOT punishment from Someone on High - but a natural working out of the Law of Existence: what we carry in our minds and hearts will eventually externalize in our bodies, lives and environment. When we resist and rebel, life offers resistance to us in the fulfillment of our desires.
When ministers of Christianity fully accept that Jesus had truly returned to speak to people worldwide, like lightning striking from East to West and are ready to teach the true message of Jesus from the pulpit - ministers of Christianity will find their churches filling again with people eager to find and make contact with God who will lead them to live in total harmony with the TRUTH of BEING.
Alternatively, ministers of Christianity, who willfully and egotistically continue to teach the dogma of the grandfathers to save face and their stipends, will watch Christianity die a natural death and will be abandoned by their congregations who some are already sensing that the words of Christian ministers are only words - in which there is no spiritual life. Ministers of Christianity will see their churches taken over by those who has realized that Jesus has indeed returned to humankind to reshow us the way to find and enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
There will also be those whose positions of authority are threatened by the Christ Letters, A Course In Miracles and A Course Of Love from CHRIST - from Jesus. They will oppose them mightily. There will be vilification of every kind through the services of every type of media - from people who have no scruples in stirring up public wrath to make money from destructive, vindictive sensationalism.
Just as Jesus came in human body over 2000 years ago, to rescue the Jewish nation from an edifice of artificial and man-made burdensome religious practices, so has Jesus come through the medium of the Christ Letters, A Course In Miracles and A Course Of Love distributed worldwide, to make it abundantly clear that the "Christian Religion" in no way reflects his true CHRIST message either as he taught it in Jerusalem - or at this present time when the Christ Letters, A Course In Miracles and A Course Of Love will arouse the fury and condemnation of orthodox "Christians." The Christian religion, as it stands at this time, is only a hotchpotch of the muddled thinking of the disciples' selective recollections and Paul's worthy homilies and other early writings. Much later, when the impact of Christianity lacked the visual effect of the gods and goddesses of the Romans, the Christian religion was adorned with "theatrical" but "expedient" nonsense to impress those whom the Ecclesiastical Empire of Rome desired to draw into their fold. This empire later imposed monetary burdens on the gullible people even more iniquitous than the taxes demanded by the secular Roman Empire on conquered nations. Even Caesar did not demand payment for souls to gain entrance to heaven!
You may wonder why Jesus is so explicit in his rejection of "Judaism" and "Christianity." It is vital to the success of the distribution of his CHRIST MESSAGE that people should fully understand the true nature of religions which held humankind in their grip until the 20th century. Until people do realize the mythical foundations on which they have placed all their convictions, people will find it difficult to let go of cherished beliefs. Please understand that when Jesus make such statements, he is referring to "Christian religion," to the "tenets of faith," to the "dogma and theology." Jesus is not referring to those great spiritual souls who have sought - and continue to seek God and Truth beyond the dogma and beliefs. Many of these have received the inspiration of Jesus into their minds and hearts but are afraid to let go of cherished beliefs. They are hampered by religious practices. But the time has come for them to let them go and grow in spirituality and awareness of the true SOURCE of BEING and free others too.

I find the passage in Micha discussed in this video really obscure and the words of Jesus in Luke equally bewildering, as do many people; but I think I understand a little bit more now and how it refers to the tribulation that was/is necessary for Redemption, thanks Dr. Pitre

Jesus was probably warning people in general not to make an idol of the family. The best example I can think of in the Bible of this making an idol of the family and of family members is the incident of Jonathan with Saul, when Jonathan attended the seance with Saul with the Witch of Endor. Jonathan died the next day. Was he saved? He was a good person and deserved the right to be saved, but did his loyalty to family ruin that chance? This happens to a lot of people.

So Jesus is telling us to endure the pain of being divided from loved ones in our own family? Then what's going to happen on the day of judgement that will alleviate that pain? What will make the pain of being ostracized from my own family worth enduring? Will this division mean we will be permanently separated from loved ones who don't see eye-to-eye with us on the day of judgement, never to see or hear from them again? God will just cast them aside like so much trash? Really? What could possibly outweigh the pain of that level of separation and division?
If you choose God but your family members don’t, what else can He do? Not honour their free will, which He gifted every intelligent, wilful being with? God doesn’t cast souls aside. Soul cast God aside and in the end, He respects and honours their free decision.

A whole family may call themselves Christian, but can be very divided as some members go all in following Jesus, getting very deep in their relationship, while other family members have belief, but lack real relationship, knowledge, & understanding of Jesus. Often they can't stand the family members who are following Christ, hating their changed behavior that looks more like Christ. It can be very troublesome for them.

Sedevacantist (people who think there is no Pope currently) and hardcore “traditionalists” (who reject V2) are full of intellectual pride and must submit to the bishops who have authority from Christ. This text is an insight into the underlying view of the Bible free conscience.
Some will for ever grow in knowledge, and will not be threatened by other Christians who while growing in knowledge have different beliefs.
Others think that if you don't believe everything exactly like them, you are their enemies. Therefore divided.
Catholic ecumenism for example is very deceptive.
They tell me "please let not doctrines separate us" while telling me my doctrines are wrong.
On the other hand, my protestant friends (at least the once who believe is the Biblical freedom of conscience) don't treat me as separate, but rather engage me in GOOD debate and prayer examining our doctrinal differences.
And so if people (by and large) believe Jesus is ONE WITH THE FATHER and they believe salvation could not be possible without Calvary they are Christians. AND UNITED WITH ME.
And honest enough not to be scared of doctrinal (not personal) criticism.

I have nothing negative to say regarding Bish. Barron. Hes a good priest & bishop and thought he did Ok in that interview. But...Id love to see Dr. Pitre on the Sunday Special as well. Im sure he's converted quite a few Jews in his lifetime cuz of his mindblowing OT knowledge.

The narrator of this video states that Jesus was quoting a prophecy in Micah 7 when he said
"Do you think I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division...(Luke 12:51)
However, there is no Micah prophecy that speaks of a time of division among the people in the time of Jesus. While Micah speaks of a troubled time affecting the people in his own time this is not a prophecy concerning affairs 700 years in the future. It would be madness to think so.
"If any man come to me, and HATE NOT his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." - Luke 14:26.
This speech by Jesus is personal, directed towards any would- be follower. And not only is it a cruel one, it was designed to separate a follower from his family-leaving Jesus as the sole authority. Moreover, it appears, Jesus, aspired to be the leader of a cult following.
I think you need to read his dissertation rather than flip to Micah and pretend you know the book with any kind of confidence.

Of interest, I thought to view again the video "I have come to bring Division" apparently the message is that the kingdom of God is not easily come by; for there must first be tribulation before salvation! But had not Israel suffered enough in its long history? Had not the Northern kingdom of Israel been captured-wiped off the map? Babylon had also held the sword against the throat of the Israelites. And now the Jewish peoples were held captive under the heel of Rome. Had they not suffered enough? Apparently not. According to the narrator Jesus, through his suffering, (on the cross) is going to unleash the power and the glory of the kingdom of God.
"I have got to go through the baptism of the cross-first, say Jesus, in the words of the narrator. And I am anxious for it to be accomplished."
However, the understanding of the narrator differs sharply with the following " And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. ( Luke 22:41-44 KJV)
So we find Jesus was not at all anxious to be hung up on a cross. And two thousand years have now passed and still no sign of the power and the glory and kingdom of God.

Pope Francis is like Gideon, the Holy Spirit is purifying the Church and what will remain in the end are few Bishops and laity fully united to the Pope. This will be the Remant Church that can face satan forces of darkness in the Final Confrontation. Pope Benedict XVI when he was still a Bishop prophesied on this and it was written in CCC675.

I have not commented on the Japanese version of Mary, nor on any Popes, Bishops, Cardinals. As for Pope Benedict XVI when was he able to see the future?
And what church did Jesus found? He may have had ambition to be a king or to be adored but a church? Why would the son of God need a church?

The gospel of Jesus Christ is to reconnect people with their essence. When the truth is presented to people, they don’t always accept it for a multitude of reasoning. The human experience deals with “choice” (non-biblical word for “free will”). As such, there are different beliefs about life and the afterlife. If one holds firmly true to their belief system-division, dissension, and/or discord are amongst contrary views. Look at the two-party political system on how government should be ran. There is a split similarly with spiritual beliefs. Dr. Pitre explains Jesus’s teaching of how deep that split can go-all the way down to your household. From human experience, those dealing with this, it can be extremely frustrating.

@@sixtodomingo8715 My explanation was simple. Not all of Jesus’s teachings were simple, but his message of the way of the cross was. That is why biblical study is important to interpret and understand what did the author intend to communicate, what did God mean when he gave the words to the author, and how does the meaning match up with other scriptures.
