My parent would bite my head off, if I took off the whole cook top. Hopefully the burner will work tomorrow after drying overnight. 😂 the spark is not working on that burner but it’s coming out elsewhere, there’s definitely gas. Ps. Very nice voice and camera work. everything was crystal clear. I enjoyed it❤
Great video! 3 of my burners work just fine, but with the 4th, its not clicking at all, so i dont know if there is a spark, but i would assume so. Does that mean the control module for the igniter is busted?
We got the Wolf brand gas cooktop. Works good. But if you spill water on the burner it will not light until it dries. And if it gets dirty it want light.
Just did this to my Samsung free-standing stove. Very similar process. The only real problem was that the screws were very tight due to 8 years of buildup and heat. One head broke off. Otherwise, a very easy fix. I bought a cheap third party igniter because Samsung parts are incredibly expensive and we all know the poor reputation that Samsung has carefully built. I figured there was nothing to lose by going cheap.
Did you check to see if the igniter was firing, as there's a visible spark generated? You didn't show that in the video. On our GE range, regardless the burner being started, at the ignition point on the dial all burners' igniters will spark. Perhaps just a loose connection to the failing burner's igniter?
Great Video and I am pretty handy, BUT 😳 I think to remedy that situation on my stove is to just get a stick lighter and use that for just one pilot. Won't kill me..... LOL MIGHT EVEN SAVE ME A BIG HEADACHE LATER AFTER I FU$&? IT ALL UP🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I did that for a few years. Decided to fix it when we were selling the house. Otherwise the home inspection would have flagged it and I didn’t want the hassle.

Thanks so much 😊
@@handydadtvUpdate. The burner worked after drying
Oh good for you!
That was a lot of work for that tiny igniter! Now if I could just find my stove brand on TH-cam.
Yes, it’s a pain but hopefully it’ll last this time.

Start with replacing the igniters because it’s cheaper and the most likely fix.

Nice 👍🏻
Great Video. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice weekend
Glad it was helpful 👍🏻

Thanks for the video! My stove top burner turns on but the igniter stays ticking as if not on… any thoughts?
Probably the contacts inside the valve.

It was hard to see in the back. It only worked intermittently. The wire certainly didn’t feel loose when I unplugged it.
Do I just order both assembly?
I don’t think that will help. You need to look at the parts diagram for your unit and probably replace the module that both sides are plugged into.
It's usually not the igniter. It's spark module block .
The igniter is cheaper to replace first.
Thanks !!!!!!

Good Answer. Get top dollar for your house👍
What if neither side is working that’s how mine is right now
Probably a different part.
