The poor dogs gave all their love and devotion to their "owners" so that in time of need they can be disposed for a new model.Those types of "owners" don't deserve to keep any animals full stop.
and they may have gotten less care. So many looked like they didn't care for their teeth, which is a huge issue.. Of course, some owners have understandable reasons why dog is rehomed, like if their ill, passed away, etc. I want those dogs to feel love again.
@Isa if you encounter vets that didn't care for your cat (at least that's what I understand), then you should look for a type of vet that does, yes it's their job and they are going to bill you for it, but there are vets who cares about their patients, in my country, some vets were talking about making a health insurance for animals, I don't know how is called in English , but like for humans, you pay an amount per month ,and it covers different treatment or part of it.

@Isa So sorry Isa. I did find out about some dog sanctuaries who have seniors or special need dogs and they will do a "permanent foster" to someone and IF the pet gets a huge medical issue (costly), they will actually pay for that. It's a win win situation. They want more room in their sanctuary for more needy dogs, and would have done the medical act anyway. SO, the foster gets an animal, they get space and the new foster person would do the rest, like food, etc. Normally, I do not ask for financial help, but this program is helpful to all concerned. Down side is you'll get a "needy" pet, a senior, etc. But that's fine with me. Good luck !

I just adopted my "senior" dog in February. She is turning 7 in august. Still looks and acts like a puppy. Such a good dog, and my first dog ever too

Good for you, but 7 is considered a senior there? I thought maybe 10 or 11 was senior, my Huskies lived til 15,14 and 13 years old, and because they had terminal issues, I know smaller the dog they usually live longer some even till 20 years old
“Senior” is right! I adopted my first dog after moving out on my own, and he was 6 at the time and still so full of life. He’s almost 11 now and still full of life!! Still the best decision to this day. He is so low key and low maintenance! Love my boy ❤️

I’m all about rescuing senior dogs, and these people are selfless heroes. That said, from an ethical standpoint, a $10,000 surgery on an elderly animal almost seems cruel when you consider the millions of younger, healthy dogs who are suffering without a home. $10,000 could go a long way. It almost seems like it’s more for the people than for the sake of the animal. But still, I praise these two. Senior dogs deserve all the love in the world.

@@evanabbott2737 I disagree I think there's a lot of good people is just that not everyone and most people are struggling financially and can't afford to do such a thing. And on top of it most people are younger people that have kids and probably scared to bring in dogs that might bite or nip. Or they want their kids to grow up with a new puppy instead of ones that are just going to keep dying on them. So I definitely don't agree with that I think most people are good most people would love to do that but maybe just can't I know I would but I don't have the money or the space to be able to do that myself

it's like two of those people who, when they're little, find a dog on the street and ask their parents "can we keep him?? pleeeeease" and mom/dad says "no way"

I adopted senior dogs and I lost my Rufus having him less than a year, and I still have tina, and my world wouldn’t be the same without them. I love Tina so much even though sometimes it is hard for her to breathe and she gets coughing fits and she sleeps a lot. I couldn’t imagine life without her. Please consider adopting senior dogs everyone. Make their final moments the best ones 🙏🏻❤️

I rescued a 14 year old senior dog to give her a dignified place to stay in her last years....5 years later she is still kicking and out running my 10 year old. I am grateful for every year she is with me and hope for a few more because senior dogs are wise. They know they were saved and the most grateful dogs there are.

I feed her kibbles and bits. I heard from other dog lovers it had safe ingredients and do not buy anything else. I have another dog who is 10 and healthy as can be. That's all she eats too. Not sure if its the food but they are very healthy seniors. 💪🐶
Actually usually the smaller the dog the longer they live, I’ve seen plenty of Jack Russell’s , chihuahua, toy poodles etc live to be 19 etc. But I’ve seen loads of bigger dogs where they are Great Danes etc where they regularly only live to 8 or something. Alsatians and golden retrievers can live longer BUT their legs tend to get really bad , a man near us had some that were ten but some of them could barely walk anymore , others were really wobbly, one was almost crawling. He never had them put to sleep though, in fact he died a few years later himself 😞 we have Jack Russell’s and a chihuahua/Russell mix and I know we are in it for the long term! My old boy jack I had lived til 15 , he was a whippet/border terrier , but he had cancer that was terminal 🥺 I think he would of gone on longer if not for that, as he still looked like a puppy a year before he died and was so active, barely grey and still chasing things. I would never give up on a dog unless I died myself, it’s cruel 🥺 hope your girl still gives you plenty more years of joy ❤️

A few months ago I adopted a senior dog (12-13 years old) who lives a full life and is a wonderful companion.
Wow! What a selfless thing this couple has done. It was so cute to see all the dogs rush to the woman at the start of the video.

Many years ago, I stated that if one day I can, I would do exactly what you guys have been doing. Giving shelters to senior pets, dogs and cats, special needs one and black cats of any age. The very pets that no one want in their live. Life made me start at a very low state with a stray kitten of almost one month that lost one of his paw, at New Year's Eve of 2022. Now he's almost heal and next thing I will do is to try to find a solution to help him live the best life possible with that missing paw. I truly have admiration for you guys. Bless all of you.

This couple have not only found their calling they have blessed and made so many beautiful babies happy and loved, even though they may have one day or a few months they still give them that gift of love and nurturing. I absolutely love this couple, it's people like these that should be getting all the help financially and however else we can help we should just donate whatever we can. Such compassion, empathy and very big hearts ♥️
This is my dream. Having an animal shelter, giving these deserving animals the comfort and love that they need. I would probably give the animals the whole house while I would live in a shed. That would make me happy and blessed

In my thirty plus years I've had the honor and privilege of rescuing three of this world's greatest dogs. If I had the resources, I would no doubt love to do what this lovely couple has done. I'm incredibly thankful for people like them. Not just bc they are able to do this, but bc they are _willing_ to do this for those in need. Selfless acts of kindness is one of the _greatest_ gifts to give and receive. 💙👍🐾

This are the type of people who should be in charge in every country, kind of heart and selfless, not many people in power could honestly say they are like that. I volunteer for local rescue group and I foster pregnant female: whelping and litter of pups. At most, I usually look after 5~6 guys and it is sleepless nonstop working and very stressful when they get sick... I can only imagine how much love & care this couple is giving to these dogs. This is dedication beyond just kindness... Thank you so much guys

We adopted a senior dog 3 years ago. We enjoyed every moment with her. Sadly she passed of heart failure. But it was an amazing experience. Every dog is special!

I adopted a senior cat and we got some of the most amazing years with her before she passed away. She was one of a kind, never will we find another cat as amazing as she was, I am so glad we adopted her and I would adopt a senior again in a heartbeat. She was always appreciative and affectionate, we miss her daily still today.

My cat is almost 19 and i could not imagine handing her over to somewhere else.
I'm her mummy .. she's my baby girl.
And it will be so strange to not have her next to me i bed one day.

@@estherb822 My star was very ill and I had to put her down🙏. This was not a matter of chose. She was like my child 😂. I'm glad your fur baby is still with you 💯💞. My other children my three fur babies are still with me and I love them dearly and I know all of my fur babies and my birds in which I have two parrots for 20 plus years are loved ever so much and we'll taken care of and I know everything that takes in oxygen must leave this Earth sometime or another. My Mollie is still do fit and healthy.. she still jumps high ... has her mad half hour of the day running around with the toys and she's a great eater. I've been so lucky with her. Apparently vet said she has quite a but of plaque on her teeth but it wasn't even that visible 😳..

I do wonder how long she will be here and how will i know if she's starting to sho signs of suffering.. she's just still such a kitten. Apart from sleeping .. she now sleeps for Scotland 😂😂. ( where i live).

After years of giving companionship to their previous owners they still manage to left them into shelter, but for this couple they dont just adopted these senior dogs for companionship they gave them a real family and no dogs must left behind.💪

My late dog died at 17,5 years old. I had him since he was 12 weeks old. I’ve got another Poole, his name is Moses and he is 1,5 now. In my heart there is a special place for senior dogs. Love and respect to these people ❤️

It's folks like this that help reassure me that humanity still exists in the world. Taking all senior dogs is an extremely noble thing especially to give them "the best for the rest" makes my eyes start to water. Thinking of how most have known only pain for so long and then to be brought in to a home with other seniors to bond with as they spend their remaining days able to relax and be shown true love and care with full bellys and plenty of scratches and pats. You two are saints in my eyes. Good vibes your way 😁❤

On December 2019 I got a senior dog from the street here in Buenos Aires, he was in horrible conditions and hes got several health problems, even though he is so happy and so full of love, Im doing everything for him now he is going to start a treatment with mother cells for his kidneys.
