Yes, a recent update nerfed everything into the ground. Now the SA doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as in the video and healing sucks. I'm currently using the build in this video: th-cam.com/video/fH3DI6Kd7Hs/w-d-xo.html It's not as powerful, unfortunately, but it's still quite solid.
Thank you. I also made a more general purpose build for other heists. pd3.gg/skills?s=A134567c145F145g16r1245t13467u156 You can see it in action here: th-cam.com/video/oqKiOgifLSY/w-d-xo.html I didn't play safely because I was trying to play as fast as possible, but trust me when I say it offers great overall survivability and utility for the length of regular heists while sacrificing the extreme sustain of this specialzied Cook Off build.
Im curious why she says that she has to decipher Banes notes about cooking, when we know that old Locke had deciphered(or at least look into them) for Border Crystals... And Id personally say that gang should have recipe burnt into their minds after doing ~5 heists with blue crystal labs(and being traumatized by it) :P
Impressive, I've been wanting to do this also, but my teammates fuck up the cook or die and while I try to revive them I also die, so yea, maybe this build will save me :)
It's easy to get caught out and was mainly tested in the basement, but it has really good long term sustainability. Great for Cook Off. I wouldn't recommend it on other maps so much because they're too mobile and bursty. This build is very good at camping. When you run out to flip switches, deliver bags and other stuff, just make sure to fill up your adrenaline so you can make it there and back with little to no fighting. It's also mainly focused on solo play. For group play, it's probably better to get combat medic and other supportive things, or just sit back and don't try to help people too much. This is a highly specialized build made just for this situation.
@@Nailkaiser professional move tbh ,there are other alternatives as well if you're interested . mute song option is new on youtube btw and it excellently removes the song only without removing other soundeffects (decreases their quality a bit) so yeah, keep that in mind if you had to use music, you can, also, it's like a paradox, if the game stays up it means no issues, if it doesn't , then no one cares to learn how to do speedruns etc and the ones that do will be thankful that the video is here no matter the song being removed or not or even the entire video being mute lol
Thanks for informing me of that. I'll consider it. I don't know a lot about how things function at the moment. I had a channel forever ago and I remember audio being taken down around a year after Google purchased TH-cam. I know that people can sometimes keep the video up but hand the ad revenue over to the rights owner, however my understanding is that this isn't up to the creator to decide. Like, they can just give you a copyright strike instead. Is that right?
@@Nailkaiser no worries, yeah they can give you a strike IF you have a claim and you don't solve it, either by disputing (which I do for old games and the claim always goes away if it's part of the game's soundtrack, likelihood of music composers striking gameplay videos of a game that used their music is close enough to 0 not to worry, also when you apply for monetization, if your most viewed vids have claims you might get rejected for YPP ) or even better, the new mute song option (added 2 months ago) removes the song from the video and keeps all the other audio in that exact same timeframe which is really really cool, I used it on 2-3 videos and it just removes the music and keeps all the soundeffects etc so it's up to you to either mute just the song if you got claims on the videos or dispute them, I always dispute them if they are soundtracks and if they reject the dispute which they only did once , I use mute song option, also keep in mind that strikes are way deeper and darker than Claims because even if you have no claim on your videos someone can claim or even strike you falsely so this is an issue on TH-cam and another reason not to mess with big youtubers lol
I've looked into it and things aren't as harsh in some ways as they used to be. Even strikes only last 90 days. Sure, it can still take down a channel if a lot happen at once, but as long as only small mistakes are made here and there it's okay. Pretty reassuring.
I'm actually glad I got to see this video because the build can be useful for me, and I don't want go into a public game and have my whole entire team screw it up by grabbing the bags when they are not pure, and maybe drag my friend to do this as well, lol
A recent patch nerfed almost everything about this build. Now I'm using the build in this video: th-cam.com/video/fH3DI6Kd7Hs/w-d-xo.html Have not done Cook Off solo with it yet. It's not quite as good as the build in the video. Almost everything that made this build OP was cut down. I'm not sure there will ever be a build as strong in PD3 again unless there's significant power creep. That said, the new build is quite solid still.
Yeah, I reset a whole lot to get the basement because it's the easiest. When I started attempting this and making a build, I was actually going for the middle because I assumed the bathroom was the way to go. It's okay, but that light's in the way obstructing vision and there just isn't enough room for the SA to shine, so it's more of a CQC area. Little bit awkward too with how the enemies tend to get stuck on things which makes clearing harder. It's probably the second easiest, and I bet I could manage it if I really tried. It would certainly take more skill. I've never made a serious attempt at the upper floor, so I don't know how it would go. I also put undue importance on the power switch spawn, but it doesn't really matter because they only flip it once per wave and I think it can't get flipped more than once (if that) in the final charge, because only the sabotage unit can flip it and I think they might not spawn in the final charge. Basically, it's only relevant early, and it doesn't really matter because you can just turn it back on when the wave is over if you're not able to go out.
I did the top floor today with my new build though it took a long time (1 hour and 22 mins, in large part due to less firepower). I'll upload the video at a later date. Kind of have a lot that I'm considering uploading right now.
Now they work with one armor plate, ironically making them stronger in certain ways with adaptive armor and plate up combined with being able to pick up the consumable plates that drop on the floor from some enemies. Eats a whole lot of points though.
I've heard constant reports of the van glitching out but I've never personally seen it in the dozen or so times I've run Cook Off. I'm not sure what's causing that for others. Just ran it again today and it was fine.
After using 19 sets of ingredients, no more are left on the map and you can't call for more, yeah. 54:58 shows the dialogue that occurs when this happens.
Sorry for replying to this pretty late. It seems they just changed the skills again, so I can't provide up to date advice. Well, at the time of the recording, the bots tended to die whenever they weren't kept safe indoors. As soon as they got out more than a few feet, they'd die quickly. I didn't even bother to take combat medic because there was so much camping that I wanted the points elsewhere. Apparently the SA was just nerfed. I haven't read the patch notes, but it probably means this build has to be changed around a bit.
That's the FBI van. If you don't shoot the antenna like that, the wave will never end and special units will respawn faster. It only comes once per heist, and not on every heist.
I'm a native English speaker and I had to look up a video to find out what to do when I first heard her talk about it. It doesn't help that the van usually spawns out of view.
