    Nice video man, thanks for taking the time to post it. Your machine looked great after you cleaned it. I would like to share something with you about using a pressure washer though. You should never use one to clean your ATV. A regular garden hose is just fine. The reason is that the high pressure can force water into places you don't want it, like electronics. I know lots of people that do it and they don't have any problems, but there are people who have. It's not worth the risk to me.
    Something else you may want to try sometime for fun is Turtle Wax Ice Wax. It's a car wax but can be used on plastics as well but has to be buffed off with a micro fiber cloth. It's a bit more work but the shine is fantastic and it sticks for a long time and makes it easier to wash the dirt off next time.
    Take care.

      Good video, it’s hard to know what is safe for these plastics. They’re so expensive and sometimes only look good wet. I do power wash. Every machine is different, if you’re fuel injected, under your seat looks like the inside of a computer. I lightly power wash under the seat and blast every thing else. Some of the areas I ride the mud is like concrete and a garden hose is no match.

    Turned out pretty good. Don't recommend the tire shine on the seat though unless you want to go flying off lol, I learned that lesson. But other that that it came really clean.

    Nice job cleaning, Looks nice. I know it's fun riding in the mud but its about the worst thing you can do to a good machine. I used to ride through every mud hoke i seen when i was younger but now i'm older and wiser and go around that stuff because it ruins it.

    Nice video, I work in a Honda and artic cat dealership and as part of the service we clean the bikes so we can get at the bungs better etc. When power washing the bike a good thing to do is to tip it's on its back or on its side (with an axle stand holding the rack) and take off the bottom plastics. Although there may not look like much mud under there it will defo surprise you. This also allows you to clean the underside as well. For polishing the plastics we use red diesel and believe it or not it really works well. Nice video tho as the engine part was helpful

  • @loganelsenraat186
    @loganelsenraat186 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I read somewhere that over time that the tire shine will eventually eat away your gloss protective enamel on your plastics making it look flat, and I have seen it happen, it's okay to do it every once in a while but I wouldn't after every ride

    • @WillowWarrenFarms
      @WillowWarrenFarms  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ive done it since day 1 and ive had this bike 2 years now. Not lost any gloss coat. Over time your bike will fade due to the plastics being in the sun or being scratched on a trail. It is always best to get a heat gun on your plastics about once every year or so just to bring out the plastics original look again
