I'm a auto detailer and the best thing for that plastic is 303 protectant because it has uv protectant in it it helps from fading and makes the plastics shine as good as new..
15 min video 4-5 hours washing Canam looks new… priceless I haven’t had my canam look that good for a while. Might have to giver the osta spit shine. Thanks for he video.
Wow! I can’t believe what a great job that pre - soak mixture did and it wasn’t even rinsed yet. Amazing stuff! You’ve gotta be just stoked about your new digs. It looks beautiful up there.
Just some personal tips for someone who runs a detailing business..use a blower even while it's running you want to get all residual moisture out from everywhere inside out finish with a spray on wipe off wax and Vitalizer for all rubber and plastic accents/tires it helps with future cleans when it comes to the mud sticking to the machine
When it comes to drying the machine off that is. Using a blower for any detailing is a no go unless it's to remove standing moisture and prevent drips as well as assure a 100% moisture free standing. Usually I wouldn't take water directly to the console or your speakers but a light rinse off before you hand clean shouldn't hurt . And the more water you use with high pressure the odds of decals peeling away sooner. These gas powered cleaners are ment for machinery and equipment as well as paint stripping. You shouldn't need more than 2gpm and you def don't need pressure that will tear through sensitive materials..your equipment wash should loosen up all dirt mud etc that a nice light soft wash should do the trick and prevent any potential issues and increase longevity in your machines cosmetic appearance
Thabks dude. Haven't had a single issues using large gas pressure washer for over 18 years on them. Just have to know how to use them. Great tips though. Thanks
I like to remove seats to wash all the interior and seats.for drying i use a leaf blower with engine running.super clean inthink is to caustic,i prefer to mix simple green with the laundry soap, and i also use slicon tire shine everywhee, the radiator use nu-calgon nu-brite,nice job.
Every time before I go I spray my four wheeler down with simple green. It dries in few minutes and when it’s time to wash it after a day of dirt, it comes right off! The simple green gets wet and just washes right off.
Great video! I use the AMSOIL brand "Mud Slinger". I put it on before I ride, and when I wash the machine, the dirt just falls off! After it dries, I spray it again and it makes the machine look new! About $10.50/per 12 oz can retail. I have never used a foam wand, but looks like I need one!
Took 5 hours to get my machine completely clean after frcc. I was in that deep soupy mud for a long time and it got into every nook and cranny my muffler was even plugged full of it. Then i had to do it again the following weekend because i wen and raced in a clay mudpit lol.
I've only gotten my 950 that muddy a couple times. It's a great amount of work to get it back to looking nice again. I definitely try not to get into mud like that anymore. Lol. Thanks for sharing bro.
Tire foam is where it's at. I by the cheap Simoniz on sale at Crappy Tire and get 2-3 washes out of it on my XMR1000. Looks like new and I find the water and mud on "light rides" bead off of it like you waxed it and it definitely makes it easier to clean the next time.
Nice finishing shots Dave, I use the SC1 that you recommended a while back. A little pricey but Wow! makes the ride shine like new. "Ride Hard and Be Safe" MN Bill
Best tip i have for washing mud bogg rigs is putting a sprinkler that sprays a fan pattern out under the rig and let it go for awhile then come back and it all falls right off.
Thanks for the tips, I was using tire foam on my tires today wondering how I could get the black plastics to look better 😂 I know what I’ll be trying tomorrow
I’ve found that simple green all purpose cleaner works great it’s biodegradable and it’s safe on you plastics I usually get the concentrate and dilute it 1 part water and 1 part simple green concentrate
Would the super clean with the 50 50 mix with the detergent be bad or dull new plastic as we have a new X3 ready for pick up next week and want to get the stuff ready, not that we’ll be that muddy
Dually update...... House update...... what's next, can't wait. At least you knew better than to wash it in the wash bay. Mrs. O would kill you! Absolute LEGEND!
Very nice detailed video! You guys should use Chemicals guys product there are feicking amazing plus they have soap made for mudding keep your plastic nice and protected! All support from quebec canada keep up the great content!
The laundry soap works well because the mud is acidic and the soap is alkaline (base). Honestly, you should just spend the $100 to ceramic coat the whole thing and mud won't even stick to it.
You should build a wash bay in your shop - LOL - JKOC - when is that scheduled for completion? PS: Hard to believe how dry the Garden is. Literally zero flow when we crossed it last Monday.
Great looking machine you got there. Tons of money wrapped up in that thing too I see. And I know that garage and truck aren't cheap either. I want all of that one day as well. Just curious as to what you do for a living to afford everything??
@@ostacruiser Yeah me too. Just want the big boy toys as well. Come on man what do you do for a living? I'm looking for a career change that will let me have what you have.
much better use of time would be to put a sprinkler on it for like 10 mins per side.. and then use something like the honeydew snow foam from chemical guys or mega foam from adams. i would then put a topper on the exterior plastics to help increase the slickness to reduce mud from sticking in the future.. turtle wax ice spray wax, hybrid solutions ceramic spray coating, or the their new graphene flex wax. Mequires hybrid ceramic or the last coat 2.0 would also work nicely. These coatings also will not attract dust, which laundry detergent is notoriously bad at.
@@ostacruiser man the way you did it was legit...I've been doing this for 20 yrs and there's really no better way than the way you done it other than actually putting your hands with a brush or a rag. Nothing beats the old "elbow grease". 💪
@@ostacruiser Thanks. I use SC1 now, but it is very expensive and it takes a lot to do my quad ,and I also use it on my zero turn mower to make it easier to clean after I cut the grass. Makes the underside of the deck much easier to clean too. Now I have other products to try.
Keep it out the weather and spray everything with oil every now and then and wipe it down. I use wd 40 most of the time. Ill spray my bearings springs and any pivot point. Let it sit for about 30 mins and wipe any excess. Boiled linseed oil for plastics.

Is it bad to pressure wash it around the wheel well. Will it cause damage
Does that spray rust metal?
Im highly impressed that the soap + degreaser did 75% of the work just soaking in. great video!

We have the same mud here in norther Alberta . Couple hours of fun costs 4 hours of cleaning . All a part of the fun 👍.. nice presentation 👍

When washing the the inside floor remove the pressure washer tip.. or use water hose to flush floor no splash
Hay what size tires are u running I’m waiting on a 22 xmr rr and do u need to lift or adjust springs tks
is there a lift on your x3 or did you adjust the ride height? alot of them sit low that ive seen. I love the stance on it.
No lift just a bit of suspension preload added
Have you ever pre-sprayed your wheelers down with Rainex before getting muddy? Works great for me.
Was wondering if you used anything like Creacoat ceramic coating to prevent dirt from sticking and keeping it clean?
I haven't tried those no
Love your videos man
Spray nine works great as well
Looks fresh man!
Always use a water hose first to wash off the big that way your not blowing it side to side then pressure wash is what I found to work best
No kidding! Best way to get the bulk off.
After the tire foam do you wipe or rinse it ? Or just let it dry ?
I usually give it a quick wipe down
Wipe , but he left that critical part out. If you just spray tire shine and dont wipe it, it will look terrible...
Totally Awesome works well as well!
And it's at the dollar 💵 store
Do you leave it idling when you spray it down?
No but I start it up near the end of the wash and let it get warm to dry the motor
