I used to go to Southend so much as a kid! All day pass at Adventure Island, stroll along the seafront, chips, and hot donuts. It's been a very long time. What a nostalgia trip, seeing it again!
I took my test in Southend many years ago. Passed first time, recently taught my very nervous son to drive as we couldn’t get an instructor, he passed first time! We watched a lot of your videos 🎉
When you come to Newcastle and if you have time, make sure you have a drive around the coast. Start at Tynemouth (as it is one way) and go all the way around the East Coast, it's absolutely beautiful and my favourite drive of all time! It's not on the driving test route but it's absolutely stunning.
Decided today to become a member. I am an Instructor, your videos help me with my own pupils, I also refer pupils to the channel regularly when I am asked about any videos they can watch. I think what you are doing with the test centers is fantastic for these reasons I wanted to support you in this. I will be watching out for when you are in Scotland. I know England is first but here is hoping 😃 Southend though, amazing test centre but a difficult area for sure.
@@DrivingSchoolTV Glasgow covering two test centers. Glasgow has four within is postcode(used to have five up until a few years ago). I think Glasgow has the most test centers of any Scottish city except maybe Edinburgh. I might look into that out of curiosity. I cover quite a large area really but tend to have more work out of one area. Possibly as the car spends more time driving around that area.
Cold yes but not had much snow, only had one day at the end of last year where I had to postpone lessons due to the weather, the car has heated seats and a heated steering wheel so it is fine in the cold weather 😃
No way you’ve done Southend, I passed on this exact route and place and it was thanks to you. Would’ve been helpful a fue weeks ago when I was still learning 👍
I took my Driving test in Southend in 2021 in my Ford Fiesta and passed first time despite not really knowing the roads I managed to pass first time despite 8 minors and having to do the Parallel Park manoeuvre.
Hi I have been watching your videos from past 5 months and it has been very helpful. Now I passed my test yesterday and my License is Automatic so Thought of buying Abarth 595 automatic, i know you drive Abarth 595 manual. Can you please throw your thoughts on Abarth 595 Automatic
Live in Southend, passed in Southend, should have gone towards Shoeburyness instead chalkwell would have got more sea scenery, but the place is a dive honestly!😅
Ahh I just failed my test 2 days ago. One of the reasons was ancillary controls. My examiner kept asking to turn the headlights on which had me confused as I said they are already on. They kept asking until they asked me to turn the stork by the steering wheel to fog lights as it was misty. I know where the fog lights are and how to turn them on. When they gave me feedback they said I failed on ancillary controls and that it wasn’t good enough, their comment really threw me off. Was this fair on the examiner’s part? I thought fog lights were only supposed to used when visibility is less than 100m?
You won't believe it.. the picasso is gone for a bit. I accidntly poured petrol instead of diesel.. the expensive petrol too, and not even like 40 quid, but 3 quarters of the tank.. so yeah, gonna be a minute until I get the car again
southend feels a lot like America. wide streets and long roads. just with no stop signs. also the toilets in the seafront are there because non of those cafes have toilets because they are carved into the rockface.
The pass rate in Southend is around 57% so not too bad, there’s more difficult bits on the other side of town
THANK YOOOOU!!!!
@@DrivingSchoolTVno worries, glad you liked it here. Feeling more confident for my test because of this
@jamesmcmillan4140 it’s bloody lovely! Hope you pass!! Let us know how you get on 🤞
57 percent

@@shezzawong8714 I’ll be there!! How long do I have before your test?
@DrivingSchoolTV Wicked. I haven't booked yet. I need to get a wriggle on though as I passed my theory in May 😂 I know both areas so contemplating lol
Oooh interesting.. feel free to shout me for a mock test when I get up there!
@DrivingSchoolTV I absolutely will do. Thank ya 👌🏽
Looking forward to seeing you do Sunderland. It’s spiral roundabouts everywhere. Even local people generally hate it. Tough on learners.
No wonder Francis gets excited when he see's toilets.. look at the size of that water bottle 😂
@shumawushi loooooool best comment
😂😂 I like minute 13. The guy is turning right on a not turning right sign! 😂😂 that area looks nice, i would be there by summer defo!
@@ademirloco4fish654 omg I didn’t even notice that!! Good observations ademir 😃
I did my CBT in Bexhill and even my instructor was blown away by the sea views and he did the route on the daily 😂
I can understand it. if I lived here that seafront drive would never get old

Hey Francis, I have my driving test in Portsmouth tomorrow, I'll let you know what happens, great videos as always 😊😊

I’ve not been to Southend for almost three years.
Not a bad one, you don't get much seaside!

11.5% of people at Southend fail just for Junctions Turning Right compared to 4.6% nationally. Definitely due to those one way roads!
I failed on this 😭
STILL WAITING FOR SOUTHALL 😅
Southend has an average pass rate of 57%!
Thank you!! I can see why it's so nice to drive around!!
