Just passed my test first time 🎉 with only 2 minors as well!!!! Thank you for all your videos, they helped me realised I am capable, and driving examiners are just normal people :)))
Oh you diamond!!! I asked a few weeks back if you could come and do Chingford. I've got my test there in May! Thank you so much for coming down and doing this. Super helpful ❤ ETA: I've found driving around Chingford pretty cool so far. I've covered parts of the route you took in the video but I haven't actually been past the test centre and taken that first right turn yet. I'm sure I'm going to, but I'll ask my instructor next week. I've been driving through Snaresbrook to Loughton and back, round THAT roundabout and down the slip round up to Walthamstow. Thanks again Francis, much appreciated.
Can’t believe your in my hometown 😮😅 , Woodford is Essex but touchy subject about Chingford as we used to be so depends who you ask…. I’ll be doing my test in either Chingford or Loughton the routes kinda merge together, my instructor said at the moment Chingford fails are higher than Loughton’s
Absolute legend! Interesting test centre and route! Guess it’s just about self belief and just drive! Great content as always LEGEND, please keep it up! ❤
Passed second time in Chingford. The centre covers a broad area. The test route I failed took me out to Loughton on a busy Saturday afternoon and I kept stalling on hills in busy traffic, on roads I'd been practising on in light weekday evening traffic
Chingford aint that Chill Francis. You got the dodgy double roundabout and you have many potholes and harsh examiners 😂😂😂. This video made me chuckle but Chingford is in East London but the test areas cross in Essex areas Loughton and Woodford Green. Also Chingford has alot of learners in the area so you have to be extra vigilant than normal. But love the vid. Good luck on your goal
Passed my test first time here in August! Area is nice to drive in, however, the routes can vary 😂 I had a family of ducks walk out in front of me when I was learning and a deer ran across before on the country lanes.
Come to Chesterfield in Derbyshire 😅 lots of spiral roundabouts, dual carriageway, plenty of speed changes along the same stretch of dual carriageway, badly signed roundabouts or confusing lane markings… did my driving lessons there and passed 2nd attempt with a clean sheet. But many people who don’t know the area make mistakes. I think the test centre pass rate is only 48% which is lower than the national average of 55%
As far as I am aware, chingford is just inside london, Wood ford should come under Essex if I'm not mistaken as its an IG postcode. I passed my test at new southgate many years ago but I believe its closed down now.
Woodford has an Essex postcode bur is still in a London Borough. London expanded but the Post Office just spent the last 80 years doing whatever it wanted...
Chingford is a comfortable test centre. At least 80% of Chingford has a 20 mph speed limit, hence why they use loughton, Woodford and Buckhurst hill. A406, charlie browns and waterworks are the main roundabouts. The 2nd spiral roundabout, the billet roundabout, has not come out on test routes I've driven during the last 4 years .
Hey, any chance you’ll be in Gillingham soon? I’ve got my driving test there, and I feel like it’s a pretty easy area overall. The only tricky bits are this one road that switches from a two-way to a one-way with a no-entry sign, so you have to bear right. Oh, and that MASSIVE roundabout in the middle of Gillingham. I’m really struggling to get the hang of it 😅
To me this video isn't really about how to pass but more how to drive in an area you dont know. So on the roundabout i would listen to what road i need then look for that lane or sign that shows the road. Personally think the roundabout where you did in the right-hand lane as not sure . Probably was the best choice as the right-hand lane alows you to be going straight on after the roundabout where the left is a left turn lane after the roundabout and doesn't go straight. So on test if doing you may do in the left then have a tricky lane change after. Where by doing in the right-hand lane youve avoided the tricky lane change
I passed at Chingford DTC (with 2 minors) 7 years ago, and did a Pass Plus course with my instructor shortly after - haven't driven since. The waiting room still looks the same.
Not sure agree with the area rating, the lower the number the more varied the route-and that’s a bad thing? The hazards and their development is different between road types, and a busy 20mph road with loads of meeting situations can just be full of surprises as a dual carriage way. I would also encourage new drivers to not avoid routes because of “area” rating.
I was always told you should never go through an amber light on your test. If you jump the lights it’s an instant fail and I would argue if your not able to stop in time then you were approaching the traffic lights too fast knowing they were green for a very long time as you were approaching before changing to amber. Never jump an amber light on your test and always make sure you can stop in plenty of time.
Ah I would say whoever told you that is absolutely not right. Don't slow down for green traffic lights however long they've been green. The following traffic won't be expecting it and it'll be very confusing (unless theres some other hazard to slow for). The meaning of an amber light is stop if it's safe to do so. If it wasn't safe to stop at it you CAN go through them, including on your test. But obviously don't take my word for it please look it up on the highway code you can access it for free online 😊
@ I guess maybe my instructor was just telling me to keep an eye out for the lights to change quickly so I can stop but I think your right, but it’s advisable if you can stop to do so I would say. So long as it’s safe
You missed a vital part, the test centre car park. It's across the road next to where the buses terminate. It's small, it is triangular shaped and you have to reverse into a bay uphill. Practice is recommended.
Hey,I know you said abou slip roads etc,but question my test is coming up and I haven’t driven on a 50mph road yet theres one leading up to the A2 road,is that still part of Hither Green test routes and how likely is that route to come up?
theres definitely a chance you could use the 50mph A2 at Hither Green so you should absolutely practice it. Or at least watch my hither green videos so you know what to do and expect. there's about 10 uploads there already

SO welcome 🤗
i have my test there in three weeks, great timed video! thanks
Passed at Chingford back in September! Such a cool area though the test can be so varied each time I did it (3) it was totally different.

I enjoyed driving around Epping forest LOADS! What a great area for a driving test!! Good luck with yours 😊
Im excited for this series, should be fun! Looking forward to seeing ones near me
Where are you? I’ll let you know if I’ll be there soon!

Try loughton test centre, just passed there on Monday. It was a nice drive. Great video idea
I did my test here on tuesday 7th of jan and passed!, so it's funny see this video come out lol
Chingford looks great! you should do Aylesbury soon.
I know you've done goodmayes already but would be nice to see an updated video!

Awww my old stomping ground!!!! There are some difficult parts of chingford and the speed limits....
this series is class

Check Enfield test centre next . Personally found that test centre easy when I passed
It’s coming!
Chilwell test centre was nice too! It’s a bit tricky at the start as you have a blind corner when you pull away at the start but it’s nice overall!
Please please PLEASE, Do St Albans Driving centre. It might be a bit far for you but I got a test there In April, thanks 🙏🏾
no problemoooooo
Try the Hornchurch driving test centre. It has the highest pass rate in East London.
Hornchurch should be coming next week!
@ Cool. I’ll stick around
Do Hendon/Mill Hill, it's quite busy there and there is a complex roundabout called apex corner
Here's hendon! Mill hill pending th-cam.com/video/-cLfVu9jvYE/w-d-xo.html

@@DrivingSchoolTV I think it was the old Police Station, they haven't improved it much inside!

@@DrivingSchoolTV Fortunate to have public transport everywhere. Haha! I have saved so much money by not having a car.
Hah so many people in london say that! But i couldnt be doing without a car... not just because its my job lol 😅
@ I want to be able to drive a car; without the hassle of insurance, road tax, petrol and etc. I'm not even considering those zipcar neither.🤣

Enfield please
ive been to enfield! th-cam.com/video/bIvSml1TDu0/w-d-xo.html
passed at chingford in september, still cant afford insurance 😂
The centre has a 36% pass rate, I'll rather go somewhere else
