Well as you know we absolutely love our Consort Nova. Great build quality and the best after sales support we have ever experienced in nearly 30 years of leisure vehicles. We hope you can get your hands on one. 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK Was just going to comment to Liam & Janene “oh you need to talk to Ken & Carol” & here you are already 😂. I want one of these for Australia. 5.4 metres aren’t available here at all 😢
I saw comments suggesting Consort, and thought of you as it seems perfect for your needs. Nice buying from a small company, and they look well thought out and well built!
Guys I have an idea for you about US and Canada trip. Don't buy anything yet and rush into a decision, fly to US and travel around the US and Canada by relocating RV's and campers which is usually free and they even sometimes throw in petrol money as well. It's something we have done from Vegas to Denver and it cost us $1 a day to do this. Make a series on it and review them as you go. We even have the video on our channel doing this!
You can do the same thing in Australia but there will be times when you may not have a van, there’s also a time limit for going from A to B, the time limit depends on the distance but it’s not weeks, usually only days.
@paulinehiggins8239 true, but you can also depending on the relocation extend your time and usually pay the normal day rate, so not as expensive as renting it outright
@. Yeah agree but still day rates are always over $100 a day unless you have a little one. These guys will have all their stuff and won’t want to be unpacking and repacking again. I only used it for convenience to get from A to B and the fact I’m so cheap. LOL
@paulinehiggins8239 would work for them not having a little one and the freedom to move around, I've done relocations across US, Canada, NZ and Australia and if you pack light it's a real cost effective way to get around, without the hassle of shipping a van
I would love for you to get one of the consort motorhomes, I do hope you can afford it. I’m just sending you a very small contribution towards your endeavours, I’m a pensioner so don’t have an awful lot to spare. For nine years I lived in a variety of Hymer motorhomes, the last one I had was the 820 the biggest one they do it was a life of luxury underfloor heating I actually had two televisions in it and satellite. I’m 80 years old now and I really miss my life. Good luck to you both and thank you for all the entertainment you’ve given metogether with reliving some of my memories.
Get it ordered! They’re a family run company, their quality is excellent as is their after support. BUT… buy this when you’re back from the US. Hire one over there, get that dream done, then come back to the dream campervan from Consort once it’s built. 6m end u shaped lounge, auto box, done.
I enjoyed looking at the different vans but it really amused me that you think older people might like single beds after sharing a bed for 50 odd years 😂
I’m very much inclined to agree, I feel a sense of some gaslighting, the very fact that you could just look on the Consort website and know that each of these Vans out out of their price range.
What happened to Oaktree? I thought they’d helped you out a lot with loaning you a motor home and powerbanks and lithium batteries? Sorry I’m being nosey I just don’t understand why you haven’t gone to them, that’s all.
Imagine opening the back doors and doing your editing with laptop on shelf at the back, and a coffee of course. With the 6meter one you wont get charged extra when on a ferry. Sooo nice . Michelle. X
Love small companies they listen and understand what a pertial customers need/want in a mini home . I hope u can rake the money together for the 6 metre one so Janine can feel warm and cozy and u fit in the bed area. Consort is a good choice. If we were to change again we’d definitely look at consort. Our friends have one. They carry a folding wheelchair and a walker in the boot. Plenty of storage and good quality.
My lil chiks. Liam looked so disappointed at the end of the video. Look you're both young and just had the most amazing adventure. Take a little time to breath and regroup. I'm sure your vans out there for you and when you find it, those magic smiles will return. Big Love
After watching last week's video and comparing the vans. Consort is by far the better quality. The Reef is absolutely perfect for you. This is not just your holiday home it's going to be your full-time home, so it's worth spending that extra if it is possible for you both. Sending positive vibes and hope that the universe makes this possible for you. All the best 🫶
No need to look any further if you want a British-made camper van and have the money for it. You gave that company a nice promo here and perhaps you could do some kind of deal if you post regular videos about it from your travels all over the world. I'm thinking of what Travelling Robert worked out with Winebago in the US ... brand ambassador or something like that. Anyway, it looks like you have found the van template that could work best for you.
I always think it's obvious that just by looking at the design of their vans you can see that Scot and Jane are long time camper van users. For me the layout of the kitchen is simple and straight-forward and very usable but you just donm't see the same in the mass market manufacturers. Good luck.
I’ve lived in vehicles and caravans pretty much my whole life till I moved into the council flat I have now, from an American school bus , a 7.5 ton lorry down to small vans. I just can’t get over the ridiculous prices of all these vehicles . It definitely seems that you’re paying a premium for these ready made vehicles.
I could not get the smile off my face 😊knowing that you are on the edge of getting your long term traveling home. Liam….when you hugged that shelf, I think you got the same vibes as I do when I can’t help but hug a tree. 🌳 This is so exciting and so positive……..Let the adventures begin!! Wishing you all the luck in the world and I’m so grateful for being able to hitch a ride with you to the amazing places you visit, I’m too old now to do it myself. Safe trip and happy healthy life my lovelies. 🦋xxx
We did the factory tour. last February and the passion shown by all the team is top notch, designed by campers for campers, we ordered the Pace, which is a Reef with a bigger fridge basically, absolutely love it , having had 2 motorhomes, then a CV20 and now the Pace. The best van by far ,best of luck in your search
Hi we live full time in our motorhome but have family and medical appointments in Leeds. We stop where you did when we visit. Love the videos and your positive attitude to life’s problems
Another excellent vlog of Janine & Liam looking and finding their new campervan. Have a lovely Sunday and week ahead. Love 🥰 the vlog and love 💗 Janine & ❤ Liam.
Consort is a great van, way better than those rubbish AutoTrail Vline & Swift Carrera, Eldis vans etc you were looking at, plus smaller company that cares way more about customer services and their reputation. 👍🏼
Those vans look pretty good. I live on a fairly small boat and I've got storage nets all over it. They're cheap and easy to custom make for the size of the space available; just buy mesh from a garden centre and cut them so size. They weigh nothing, you can see what's in them, contents don't go mouldy, and there are no sharp wooden or plastic corners to bang yourself on. No hinges or closers to break either. I'm surprised RV manufacturers don't use nets more often, but then I suppose most customers expect sold house type storage.
Wow -worth the investment. I hope you don't rush.... in what could be spent on repairs for something older and not well made but cheaper in the short term- the long term of something well crafted will be cheaper. Fabulous company- love to all. As they say haste makes waste :)
It’s the one. I love it and it absolutely ticks all your boxes. It’s going to be your home… worth sacrificing a few trips for in order to buy it I’d say. Good luck.
I had my eye on a Consort Reef but well out of budget by the time we added on all the extra bits we wanted. They are such nice vans. Went for a year old second hand compact motorhome in the end (we wanted a rear lounge layout which could convert into a bed) and have been very happy with that, but we tend to use campsites and go away for long weekends or a week here and there so totally different needs to you both. I can definitely see where we ended up might not work for you, we would need to do quite a few upgrades to be comfy off grid. I hope you find the right van for you both! Happy hunting.

Love the Consort, I'd like to get rid of our VW pop top for one of them. I'd have liked to have heard a bit more about the specs and shown us the storage in them all. They've not been at the NEC show when we've been. That 5.4 m one is amazing for what is fitted into it!
I'm so glad you went to Consort! Those vans are beautifully-built, have great floor plans, and are so homey. The Reef looks like the perfect layout for you. It appears to check every box. The Nova could also work with the east/west fixed bed. Although that one doesn't have a lounge, per se, you could certainly lounge comfortably on the bed, especially if you put some extra pillows or a bolster for daybed mode. I don't know great prices of any, but I'm thinking the Nova would be significantly less money than the Reef. For overall livability (and tremendous storage!), if you can afford the Reef, there's no doubt it could really be your permanent home. I can't wait to see what you decide!!!!
