My Endless 80 is one of the best. Design is unique and has strong inspiration behind , others are still compete materials and finishes. Some of the top keyboards only has engraved a logo, a elephant or a pirates treasure box etc., if you studied art, those designs are the basic level. If you ask the designers what are the inspirations behind your designs, market preferences.
I am into the hobby for a year or so, but coming across this video with a lot of boards I never heard of and stuff like plate forks I also never heard of just show me HOW deep the rabbithole goes.... I barely tipped my toe in the surface. which is kinda crazy because my family already thinks I am a weirdo who spends too much on keyboards

Your energy/vibe is always relaxing and none toxic. Hanging out on your stream is always a chill and fun experience to me and you influenced me a lot in terms of how i build/mod my keyboard. I’m still early into the hobby, but my favorite board overall has to be the Bakeneko65 (sound feel, value, accessibility, ease of use, etc). Cannot recommend it enough especially for a beginner enthusiast. Honestly I think I’ll be happy with the sound and typing experience for a long long time, the only thing I’d really want to further explore are unique case designs or more keycap/switch combos. I’m of course open to trying different layouts as well so I think I’ll be branching out to different beginner level form factor boards and see where that takes me
There was this new guy who was completely new to this hobby asking this question on a discord server: "What gives the most thocc?" And for many of us that would be considered a pretty ignorant question. But the problem was he was getting treated like a fool because of the question, and I'm thinking this guy is new, he's where I was when I first began, and it's very understandable that such questions would be asked because nobody really knows where to begin when they first join the hobby. Let's just be nice to people new to the hobby. And also, this hobby is very expensive. First thing you need to think of when you join this hobby is your budget.
Plate fork is SUCH a game changer. Agreed on it and I’m not at all mad at having to pay more for shipping than the item itself. Was absolutely worth. It’s like a better designed and more consistently useful chopstick.

I thought best value would have been qk65 or zoom65 or akko pc75b plus :) My favorite accessory is Gateron switch opener...it's a total game changer in my opinion.

Most disappointing keyboard TKC portico. why? RGB is borked, it didn't get VIA support (as advertised) until months later. Oh, and my type C port snapped off.
Yea jelly made way should be quick turn around or instock bulk buys. I got r1 ikki68 and blows kbd67 away imo. Not a fan it, like neko far better. I real regret not being able to buy the salvation but had just bought the thermal seq2.
Alex, have you heard of the M-One keyboard? I saw in in IC a while back and thought the design was pretty innovative, never seen anything like it before!
What Keycaps does Alex have on his 7v, I can tell its an SA family keycap just from the centered big legending, I just don't know what profile and name.

Feel like alot of creators default to that as a recommendation when there are better designed and imo, better looking budget options out there. I had the most frustrating time with the board because the switch kept popping out out of the pcb due to the o ring. The paint was not durable and chipped off easily as well.
Coming back to this video again at end of 2022, and man, did 2022 have so many good boards, game changers, and innovations this year. We've come so far compared to what the hobby looks like in 2022 compared to the end of 2021

Sick video Alex, I like almost all choices, except I wouldn't choose a 75% for best looking, personally looks uglier than all others. But man that Ikki def was goat value
I love flexy boards but for some reason i''ve really loved my sat75 with a pom plate & marshmallows, idunno what it is but it's not entirely top mount but also not bouncy like a gummy gasket bounce, it's in between and I just love it. I have a jelly, a mr suit and the ultra flexy Thera75 and although I love all those, the Sat75 always warms my heart every time it's back on my desk. This one thing I love about this ridiculous hobby is having so many damn boards that I can rotate them out and forget how the feel and feel that typing experience again after a while.
Oh man the constructive criticism part at the end, I was there during one of the latest streams when we all talked about that. Be kind to one another, urge people to do and be their best, and don't put them down because that just pushes people away and makes the community smaller and weaker because of it.
Very interesting on that plate fork accessory! It is my first time seeing that, but since I don't have any flex plates I didn't encounter this :) my favorite accessory would definitely be the gateron switch opener - it just saves my finger when I need to crack up hundreds of switches. Also the accessory I can't live without is my ramaworks switch puller. I used to use those stock switch puller in the past and it was so frustrating to use, and even damaged a good amount of my switches. The rama just pulls out switches effortlessly.
Even if it's your preference, I absolutely love every choice that you've made entirely. I've watched your streams and videos and honestly, I love every build you've done and it all sounds great and looks astonishing. I've recently got into this hobby not too long ago and I'm really trying to achieve the perfect sounds and feels from your builds haha
yeah, definitely agree that the PE foam should be added with every kit because it allows for different modifications. Many of us don't like the PE foam, but it allows for a variety of choices in our builds.

Ikki68 has so many problems with their pcbs being faulty/ hard to connect on the wireless version.
I have tried two personally, one being a proto and the other a client build and it was completely ok :< im sorry to hear some are having issues

Yeah its a good size honestly, i much prefer the newer ones rama put out since they are MUCH more durable!
