I went through a divorce 30 years ago. My son was 1 years old. I had no choice but to leave because my son's dad was an abusive narcissist. It was an emotional roller coaster, I was grieving inside but I put on a happy face for my son. When I had to share special days like Christmas, mothers day, Thanksgiving, birthdays, I got the best advice from my mom. She told me the day doesn't matter. Celebrate on the day you have your son and make that your special day. So sometimes we celebrated Christmas on the 23rd instead of the 25th. It doesn't matter the day! I have never remarried and I have had a full life. It isn't easy seeing your ex husband with other women it's painful, i know. But there is a happy ending with forgiveness and love after all these years. My faith in God and His guidance helped me through this journey. I pray that you will get closer to God and experience true love. 😊

Don’t cut it too short as you will regret it, long bob gives you the ‘new hair, new me’ feeling and refreshes your hair but doesn’t push you too far out of your comfort zone & allows you still style your hair. The kittens are absolutely gorgeous! Love that for you & the kids, such a good idea to get two together.

I am so happy for you to see you this happy. Me, 17 yrs married was terrible. Made up my mind on night 2021 and said I want a divorce. I was 74 and now 76 yrs young. I’m the happiest I have ever been. I refused to fight til I died. Life is too short for that!

First of all, you will be so glad you got 2 kittens together. I used to have just one cat. I would always worry about loneliness when I was gone. They will grow up together which is ideal and have the bond.

I went brunette shoulder length with bangs. The amount of compliments I get. Everyone tells me it's stunning.
Edit: I think you should go brunette! It will make your eyes pop! With that being said, it is a huge change so maybe try either only cutting your hair or only changing the color. Incase you regret it. Something else to try is to get a brunette wig- possibly in different lengths to try on. Try before you make the plunge.

I think cut and go brunette would look SO good. Plus going through huge changes, is sometimes the best time to try something very different that you always wanted too. You will look gorgeous either way! And I LOVE you kitties, they are the best emotional support animals. My cats have helped me so much.

This year has been one of the most toughest and emotionally challenging for me too for similar reasons. I can earnestly empathise and also place my prayer for anyone who has gone through hardship.
It’s been 15 years, and my kids are in their late 20’s. It gets even harder. I didn’t even get to see them at all this Christmas, because their dad and his new wife had “family” plans with them. Divorce is terrible.

oh my gosh!! ragdoll kitties! i have a boy ragdoll cat who is 3 years old named Elliot and he is such a whiney mamas boy and i love it. he follows me room to room and greets me at the door when i come home. if i am behind a closed door, he sits with his back to the door like he is protecting me. same if i am in the tub or shower. he jumps on my lap and kneads my belly. he cries if he cant find me and when i call him he comes running. ragdolls are such sweet cats and i am so happy for you! :)

Kitties are the best. I'd have always said I was a dog person too until I got my 1st kitty. That was almost 10 years ago. We now have 4 inside and 1 outside. They have enriched my life so much. We don't have any children either so we love them as our kids and spoil them rotten ❤❤❤

My hair stylist listens and talks everyone through a big change hairstyle. It’s kinda a therapy session. She’s had too many clients do big changes as a knee jerk reaction to something in their life and later regret it. She would probably suggest starting gradually one way or the other and see how you feel about it in a few of weeks. You’ll figure it out, but my best advice is to not decide based on the poll.

Coming from a blonde whose tried to go back to brown, it probably won’t last because you’ll miss the blonde. However, I’ve added more brown to my hair and really blended my blonde into my roots and I LOVE it! I def gives more dimension while still feeling blonde. I also think a cut would look so cute on you.

This was my first Christmas divorced after 23 years- my kids are adults now- but I had them all over on Christmas Eve- and Christmas Day they went to their dads.. it was hard.. I cried .. I learned in my divorce support group that all these feelings are normal- and we are grieving .. I just try to take each day as it comes.. Could they have come over the day before or after? I don't think it matters much if it is the actual DAY of a holiday...it is the company you celebrate with. This is one of the things we have to deal with in divorces or break ups. Yes, you WILL get accustomed to it. Remember you had all those years getting used to away of life, having to consider others. NOW, you can put yourself first and decide how YOU want to do things, and live your life. It isn't over, it's just a new way of being. You earned the right to put yourself first, and that is NOT being selfish. It IS selfish of others to expect you to live YOUR life so THEY are comfortable, and get THEIR way. Cherish your time, your way...you deserve it.

Brittany, I feel you girl! I'm going through something very difficult too. What I discovered and want to pass along is that our thinking is what creates our anguish. Not the situation but our thinking about it can put us in a spiral of despair or fear. Thinking causes all our negative emotions. Now, as soon as I feel any type of negativity I know I was caught up in thinking so I immediately take a deep breath to bring me back to presence and get me out of my head. I then do something physical. It has helped me tremendously and I hope it'll help you too! Happy New Year!

I know people that weren't cat people too, until they got one.
Every "non cat person" I knew changed their mind when they got a cat. I have had both dogs and cats, cats in my opinion are more loving, can be happy on their own and more curious/involved in daily activities. Also dogs are a massive responsibility and take up much more time to look after them a cat.
I wasn't either...and allergic. :D But I got a cat that was a rescue basically and fell inlove. They all have different personalities, like the orange ones are crazy, tuxedos are chill, black cats are the best (my 2 cents).
She definitely has had a tough 2023 and I pray for better 2024 for all of us.

The kitties are beyond gorgeous! I am a cat behavior consultant and can say that having two is better than one! Just know that they are going to be wild for the next several months, practicing survival skills with each other. They will have to learn that your ankles or your kiddos ’ hands are not acceptable targets. Get a few kicker toys, have them in multiple rooms, and if they ever start to latch onto a human body part, redirect them to the kicker. I look forward to the product discoveries you will surely have in this department!
Do a light brown color, I can see you with a light brown hair color with honey highlights, it would make your blue eyes pop! Keep the long hair, just trim the ends and I think it'll look AMAZING!!!
