I actually love she brought this up! I'm married without children for this exact reason. Children are HARD! People on television and influencers always act like "look at this blessed life, children are amazing and easy!" and all I can think is "do you have a nanny or something?! When do you sleep?!" I've been sleep deprived without a kid and I was ready to punch my husband, I can't imagine adding a crying infant to that.

My husband and I aren't able to have kids, we've been together 18.5 years, married 10 of that. We rarely even argue. I honestly believe it's because we don't have children. Although, my uncle and his wife don't have children and they fight all the time, they even got divorced for a year and then remarried. We have separate checking accounts. We assist had them, I also have a tendency to spend too much, so I'm glad it's that way. When I was younger I didn't understand how you could be married and not have a joint account, then I realized money was the other big fight for couples.

Yes my marriage has always been strong until about 4 months post partum with my first and I just hated my husband and blamed him for all the negative emotions I had to deal with. Now I’m 2.5 years later and feel like my old self and rarely ever have arguments with my husband but I’m pregnant with my second so.. we’ll see how we handle this hurdle lol

Thank you for normalizing having troubles in a relationship and still being happy together & working it out. I always thought it's absurd how people expect you to be a perfect spouse from day one or otherwise it can't be "right" ... Like how?! You have to learn to be a good partner and that's okay!

Brittany big weddings are overrated. All it is is signing papers. My parents did a courthouse signing. I think that was SO SMART that you and Ryan decided to save money to buy a house. I learn so much from your videos everytime!!!

It's about the bride and groom getting married, not the material things. For many there is a deep reason for weddings. There is also the option of having a mini wedding where you go to a spot you like or love and get married there with a couple witnesses to see it all happen. A big wedding or not doesn't matter, it's not about the material things.

    • @rocketmom60

My husband and I got married at the courthouse 44 years ago. Saved the money to immediately buy a house. Don't regret it for an instant. I told my son that if his wife to be was more interested in the wedding than the marriage he should run away as fast as he can. They ended up having a backyard wedding with just family. YAY!

Brittney - I’ve been following you for some time now. Just wanted to say how refreshing it is to hear you talk about not following the crowd and doing what feels right for you, ignoring the pressure. I’ve always done this, and it’s amazing to see such a gorgeous young lady influence others to just be their own person. As well as this, you talk honestly about some subjects others just wouldn’t dream of doing - again all real life stuff, and so helpful to others.
Keep on doing you - love seeing Ryan in the videos these days - you two are such a beautiful & fun couple. Thanks for sharing your life with us all ❤️🥰Xx

Brittany, our wedding was so small….we saved and paid cash for what we did do. I’ve never understood spending tens of thousand of dollars on one day. We’ve been married 36 years and have the most amazing marriage, so it didn’t matter how much our wedding cost.
Oh…and Ryan needs to leave that look back wherever he found it. 😂😂😂
If Ryan gets snipped, snipped, make sure he goes back for his last appointment…..we have a post vasectomy son who just turned 20. 😜 (Wouldn’t have it any other way because he’s amazing, but if you’re sure you’re done go to that last appointment)

I was really hesitant about getting the IUD. I used the nuvaring for years but still had really heavy periods that lasted for weeks on end. My gyn suggested the IUD and after months of consideration, I finally caved. It’s been about 3 months and honestly, I wish I had switched over sooner. I have no period at all now, no cramps, no bloating. You can’t feel it. It’s been amazing so far.

lol My sister would do something similar! She'd tell her daughter she could invite 3 friends and she'd rent 2 hotel rooms. One for her and the husband, & one for her daughter and her friends. The kids got to have an ultimate sleepover, stay awake, watch whatever and swim in the hotel pool. All while mom and dad had a nice king bed and movies next door. End of the trip only ended up being about $200 bucks and she didn't have to clean up afterward.

We really do need to normalize that it doesn’t matter who makes more money in the relationship. The onion slicer tool. Try cutting the onion in half first and put the halves flat side down on the cutting board. Slice each half separately. Insert the tines into one half of the onion, and slice through the way you were doing. Then without removing the slicer, turn it 90 degrees and slice across in thin slices. My mom had one when I was growing up, and I have had one at various times also. With a little practice you might really like it.

We had a courthouse wedding. Same reason, never saw myself in a formal gown/all eyes on me situation. Going on 21 years with no regrets. There is no perfect couple because there are no perfect ppl and, as my uncle recently told me after 62 years of marriage, “you just make it work”.💝💝

What makes Ryan so appealing is that physically he’s gorgeous and looks like a swole bro, but his sense of humor is so corny that you know his ego is pretty much in check. ❤️

My favorite wedding I ever went to was held in the religious establishment (for free). She wore the dress she wore on their first date, and he wore a nice suit. They had cake and punch in the building, and asked for cash gifts because they were saving for their house. The whole thing lasted an hour. I used to want the whole wedding thing, with a big reception and all that. Now, I just need a license. Nothing else. I don’t want to be the center of attention because for me, the focus should be on the marriage, not the wedding.

Me and hubby decided to get married three weeks before our son was born . I was 9 months pregnant. We went got a ring for me a dress a suit from Kohl's. Our pastor after church used the hymnal and did the marriage ceremony. We had his parents and his friends . My family couldn't come . His mom made dinner and pie was our wedding cake . It was amazing wouldn't trade it for the world .

They can fix that by contributing equally, lol. Of course they'll feel unneeded if they choose not to support their children's mother. On top of coping with raising a newborn baby and recovering from birth, women should not also be expected to give men a how to guide on being a father. That is the man's responsibility.

    • @mochitwa
      @mochitwa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@oliviap8404 well they are not mind readers- and if the mom is breastfeeding they maybe don't know what to do... its silly new for both parties- a little kindness and grace for your partner would go a long way instead of sitting silently bitter that they aren't contributing.
What's so hard about saying- can you get me water when I'm breastfeeding etc etc.
