How’re you liking this so far? I bought a set of Morimoto XBs, and am replacing them with a set of the Alpha Black Alphas.
You seriously do not get enough credit for what you do for the community. As a new raptor owner, you have taught me so much about the do's and don'ts of this niche vehicle and I really appreciate the help. Absolute legends.
The Pako Factor thanks man. Can’t tell you how great it is to hear to read this. We originally started the channel because there was so much bad info and not enough how to videos on the Raptor. So we hope others out there can learn from our mistakes and hopefully give back and help out the offroad community we love.
I am picking up a set of their lower model next week, I personally like the smooth look of the DRL strip from the original compared to the new model.
LucidTr1p me too, but the new planks are soo much brighter that you can actually tell they are on during the day so that sold me on the new look and I understand it

The Morimoto headlamps you can buy in Amber or white as far as DRLs. I have them on mine and they are awesome.
Trubyd44 thanks man. I did not know you could get the Morimotos in amber. Looking at the website it looks like 2 different parts. So the same light can’t change between the 2 options right?
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad Correct. You have to decide before you buy if you want amber or white DRLs. I have pictures I can attach somewhere or send if you'd like to see them. Oh... I got the Amber.

@@Trubyd44 I would agree, specially coming from the Raptor Side. But I've heard from a few F150 guys that prefer the white LED. Having the choice within the same light would be a big benefit.
Hey guys. Love your content and really appreciate all the in depth installs and real world insight into yalls upgrades and add ons. Looking to pull the trigger on a set of these AlphaRex lights for my F150. Just wanted to know how things are going to date with these lights in your experience. Scott Lewis so far so good. I had a LED plank go dim for some odd reason and AX had them replaced that same week. Aside from that I highly recommend the Alpha edition (preciously midnights). The all black with the smoked lens and clear blinker really give them a stand out look

Almost all aftermarket fiberglass sucks honestly, unless you have lots of money to spend at a body shop, lol. Function over form.
Be cool to see a side by side comparison of the Morimoto and the Alphas. The Morimoto’s have a 5 year warranty. I’ve had them in my 2017 F-150 lariat. Haven’t decided which way to go with my 18 Raptor.

Is there a possibility that these can work on my 2018 F150 Lariat. It Came with halogen bulbs. Really love the 3 projectors for the low beam
I don’t think so. They will plug in yeah, but you would need a whole new front end with grill and supporting structure for it to work. And that does not include all the trim
Use forscan to make them Amber it works with any headlight that has a switchback
LivingSoldier B forescan won’t work man. These lights are not wired like stock LEDs. The LED DRL has to setup within the light.
If you don't me asking what is the procedure to change them to amber on Forscan?
Khaled please read my comment above. You cannot use forescan to change the DRL light to amber. The lights have an internal circuit board that bypasses the stock programming. Only option right now is a relay and some re-wiring
On the zebra are those the arx-880150? I like those better than the midnight black but I am finding them to be discontinued
On the white truck are the regular black lights with the chrome accents.
On the right, is the midnights that are now called alphas. Not all series of the lights have alphas. But those that do are worth it. No chrome, all black, and smoked lens.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad thanks for your quick response, I like the solid opaque white wrap around from the older ones than the newer Alphas. That’s why I went looking for them and saw that Alpharex is mostly advertising the new Nova Alphas
Is the 3 LED top version ever going to be available for XLT style trucks?
Patrick Massey they can fit any of the F150s from 15-17. The 18+ design is different and only 2 will fit

Patrick Massey 18-20 is the new style and you can’t fit 3 in there. They compensate and do 2 more powerful pods for the same light output

Eduardo Rivera not that I know of. Most that have issues, do so during installation. If you do have issues I met the guys that run support and it’s a great group.
How did that white F150 raptor clone do that raptor third brake light
I think it was plug and play. Got a Raptor tailing and just plugged it in

I'm sorry they are LED.
Yes, if your truck has the Full LED lights, you will need the Raptor Harness for them to work correctly. raptor and platinum share the same lights and wiring.

Can you adjust up/down and side to side?
Lights are DOT approved so they can only adjust up and down. Side to side is fixed and the pods are setup to provide a wide light output. We have a few videos on them compared to stock LEDs and Morimotos if want to check them out

I'm having problems with moisture on my alpha Rex it fucking sucks it's cold and foggy I wash my truck and they get foggy i Glue them a try the heat gun and nothing🥺 1400💸
Are they still within warranty? Even if they are not get a hold of them for help. The ones we tested took a ton of abuse without any issues.
A rock broke my passenger side lens, i called AlphaRex and they wont sell me one headlight after spending all that $ on these. I would consider that poor customer service.
That sucks man. But I can understand why. For one they are all built in pairs overseas (like everything else) so splitting up one set means they have the other left behind and can’t be sold.
Also consider the difference. Plastics age. One light is going to look very different from the other.
I’m honestly having a hard time seeing that the newer model DRL is any brighter.
It’s a HUGE difference. In the sun, you can see the new DRL, the old one just looked like it was off.

How much brighter are the midnight compared to stock 2019 headlights?
Joe Momma here you go. We did this comparison last year. These are the stock LED pods that ford has not changed since 2015. The housing has changed on the f150. But the light output is the same
