Thanks for the review. I miss the old review days when you could speak freely without fear of pushback from tire manufacturers scrutinizing your every word. I’ve been following you for a long time so I understand why you needed to be more structured. A certain tire manufacturer starting with an A and ending in an o. Still, your reviews are informative, thank you.
General is the American subsidiary of Continental AG, it's the same tire. The G-Max is about half the price of name brand Continental tires but still offers high performance European quality tires.
I love them. I have a fiesta ST which I’ve had summers on for most of its life since I live in northern California and don’t really deal all that much of snow at all. However, it’s been getting really cold and it’s nice to have a sporty tire that I don’t need to worry about low tips with, or be concerned about crazy amounts of rain. These are surprisingly good in the handling and grip department for the price as well.
I've been running the RT-43 and now the RT-45 on my Wife's C-Max Energi, My Merc C-230 and my Supercharged Grand Prix and they have bene amazing All Season Tires so no surprise the new AS-07s are good.
I'm currently rocking the AS-05s. They are doing well on my 21 Corolla 6spd SE. They are great in the wet and dry. There is no snow yet, down here in the Tampa Bay area of Florida 😂.
I also had 2 sets of AS-05's on my 2015 GTI and recently went with a set of the new AS-07's. They seem a tad squirmy, but I am attributing this to the new deep tread. They are definitely quiter and smoother. Initial turn in seems a little vague but again...they are brand new. (Less than 200 miles). Overall great tire.
Another great review Matt! In Northern Va by Dulles airport @ Voltech Auto this tire, the Altimax RT45 and the Cooper ProControl all sell well. With the current spring rebates on all 3 tires right now, slightly more customers have opted for the ProControl with UTQG of 740 AA (70k wty).
can you please sway me one way or another between a falken wild peak h/t02 and this tire for my 2006 escalade ? im also about a hour from you guys and will definitely come to you for your professionalism and knowledge!
Pirelli P7 AS Plus 3 would be one to consider. 740 AA (70k wty) vs 560 AB (50k wty) about the same price but Pirelli have a $100 rebate that’s about to end in a few days.
@@cooldaddyslick6869 man I absolutely love the continentals. Im a very spirited driver and love taking trips to mexico ;) but I also needed a good all season for the grip in the different types of weather. This tire is awesome!!! I always have grip and they make me confident to drive in the rain. To add on the tread life is amazing too. I just wanted to try general because they are made by continental and are cheaper
These tires and the DWS06 both have traction rating of AA and temperature A. Their UTQG rating is only 60 higher on the continentals which isn’t much. General have a $70 rebate on these tires right now. If you are in Northern VA I could have the G-Max AS07 on your car tomorrow! Put the money saved towards mounting/balancing and your alignment. 😊
Great review, I have a quick question for you. I live in California an own a Infiniti Q50 looking for a good tire that can handle these crazy Potholes but still perform.
I am trashing my Michelin tires on my 21 Accord T2.0 with only 12k miles , they are just trash tires , I will be purchasing the Gmax -07 and come back with my thoughts.
For a 2.0 Accord you might want to check out the General RT-45. I have them on 2 of my sedans and they are amazing and last longer for about the same price.
Agreed we put more RT45’s on accords and Camry’s in our shop than the AS07 but for nearly the same price look at the Cooper ProControl as well. Higher tread life rating at 740 with (70k wty) tested very well on tirerack and has a $75 rebate right now until end of April.
So I've had these General gmax-07 on my Accord and already I can tell a big difference in much less tire spin and more comfort over pot holes and uneven pavement , corner handling is great as well.
It is scripted. I always write myself a little script and use prompt smart on my I Pad but this time I tried to be more polished with that script. I think I am going back to my old outline style next time.
@@flydriveNdive well I have these in a 305/45r22 and I’m putting them on a ram 1500. Can’t seem to find any reviews for trucks or SUVs. I guess I’ll find out soon enough when I put them on haha.
Thank you for reading the entire brochure to me instead of putting them on a car and actually reviewing them. 7 minute video and you offered nothing even remotely resembling a review.

I bought 4 of these last week. So far they are fantastic

Wow i never thought i would be impressed by a General tire. The tread pattern looks very aggressive. Thanks for a great review

Thank you for watching!
They are still great !!! super around corners and curves !!! good in rain as well

Please compare General gmax as 07 and Contineltal extreme contact DWS 06 plus

I'm on my 2nd set of General AS-05's on my '17 GTI. I've found them to be excellent. The new AS-07 appears to be a step up. That's going some!

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts with some break-in time and several thousand miles.
How's your GTI running?...
@@audieconrad8995 125k miles and no issues. We did have the fuel tank suction pump recall done last year.

That wasn't a review. That was just pure advertisement.
General makes great tires.
How would you say these stack up against the Eagle Exhilarate? I love the RT-43/45s so I'm leaning towards this one.

Thank you. Excellent details that you point out. I'm hoping for a review on Firestone Firehawk AS V2 for a 2021 Volvo S60

Please do a video comparing the Falken Wild Peaks AT3W and AT4W
I have a new video on the AT4W coming soon.
My favorite tire.
How are these with fuel economy and road noise?
Road noise sucks with these. Ears were ringing after one hour driving. Gonna get a touring tire instead
Trying to decide if I want to try these out or stick with the dws06 plus on my g70
How do like the Continentals? Why are you thinking about switching?

The dwso6 are way better tires...if they are in you bubget...get them. If not this is a great inexpensive alternative.
Do you recommend these tires for a dodge Durango rt ?

What tire size?
are these m/s or 3 peak rated ?
Leas than a minute in and it already sounds like an ad for them.

so how are the tires?
You sound like you're reading this information directly from General's advertising literature.
You don't seem as relaxed as you usually are.
I think you’re right. I tried a new format but I think I might go back to the way I used to do it.
