Never prime foam with a normal primer! Plastidip is made of rubber, and in my experience primer cracks quite a bit on foam because foam flexes and bends. These cracks can ruin the look of your piece. Normal spray paint does the same thing, but in my experience some acrylic paints stretch a bit better. Otherwise that's a sick weapon Grav Hammer! Keep up the good work!
ah yes I do know about this! However, because I used regular spray paint and a regular clear coat over top, the paint will crack over time anyways. I know this not ideal, but for this project I wasn't going for anything fancy. For future foam props, I have already ordered FX plaid, which is supposed to be a much more accommodating paint for foam. Thanks for the tip, and the support!
