…anytime when you upgrade the lower spring kit, it’s highly recommended to replace the OEM w/ the aftermarket struts (I.e. Bilstein, KONI, etc…) at the same time. This will reduce the body roll.

The 340i is more tame when it wants to be. The Benz is a little beast. Rougher suspension, more abrupt exhaust, and harsher shifting. The interior of the Benz is more luxury oriented though. Anyway, both are great cars. I prefer the BMW (of course).
Yeah that’s fair! But also those are cars above a regular 340i or C300. Benz definitely makes some good sport cars. I ripped a C63 in LA once and it was too much fun. I agree with you though I prefer BMW.

Also I have curvy roads around my house so I drive them everyday, my e46 can hit these curvy roads going 60mph without braking. Is that still possible with these newer ones? In the video it looks like you were slowing down quite a bit.

Like I said to all of you commenting that year 340i is not everywhere! The 340i wasn’t out there like that until the new body change. And a fully loaded 340i with track pack cost damn near as much as a base M3! So most people just went for the M3. And I can tell him about it because I have the damn car as well!

And #2 question why does some 340i have a thicker and big steering wheel and some have thin sports steering wheel is it difference in the trim level ?
I believe they do, idk. No anti dazzle feature. My steering wheel is from BMW but the M performance trim (alcantara) doesn’t come on a car from the factory. Have to buy separately

Great in between no doubt. Not quite an M car as far as performance but it outdoes an F80 M3 as far as luxury and interior. Plus the LCI facelift looks great! And will be under warranty 😁. (Also will have more than enough power for daily driving, especially with a piggy back tune that doesn’t void warranty)

If you want it to be the ultimately daily then I’d say you’d want it 😬. Adaptive is more comfortable in comfort, and stiffer in sport modes. Sport springs alone is going to make the ride stiffer but more sporty feeling as it’s less spring travel

Did you just title this video with a list of negative points on a 340i for hits? I mean there are way more positives than negatives, you can’t compare an M3 with it as that’s a different price bracket and car category. The balance of track and real world road handling and comfort is spot on. Compared to Audi and Mercedes in this price bracket it’s the best out of the box without question. I would not recommend expensive adaptive suspension(as any independent bmw specialist) they will say stick with springs. Do you know how expensive they are to replace per corner and if your a driving enthusiast it’s just better, especially if buying used. It has 90% of the performance of an M3 car but is around half the cost. We should be celebrating this car not saying why you shouldn’t buy it.

$10k in mods, fully customizing my 340.. or $20k more for a stock M3. I chose the 340 bc I have more fun modding the car. Nonetheless a money pit for sure

I had a motor built aftermarket turbo 2020 sti , (THOUSANDS invested and only made 450whp!!) And I sold it for a 2018 340i best decision I ever made with just a catless downpipe intake and fuel pump upgrade this car is faster and wayyyyy more reliable then the sti not to mention sounds better but that’s just my opinion. Adaptive damper super $550 is no brainer. Definitely drives better in comfort mode and stiffer in sport plus. Non run flats make a difference too.
