      The cable they sell to go with the iPhone does NOT record in stereo.
      No way to get stereo out of this thing onto an iPhone. I got this from Rode when I was having problems trying record stereo.

    Alternativly you can also use the apple lighning to usb adapter (also called camera adapter) and than use a normal USB C to USB cable.
    (Wireless Go 2 Receiver -> USB C to USB-Cable -> Camera-Adapter -> iPhone) i tested it with an iPhone 12 Works fine.
    The Camera Adapter is more expensiv than the cable shown in this video. But you can use it for much more than the Wireless go. If you have the camera adapter try it before buying the rode cable.

    How do you listen to 2 people talk while recording at the same time? Can each of you plug in headphones in the MIC jack of the unit attached to you? Or is there some wireless function? Meaning is it possible to not only record your conversation...but can you communicated with each other when far apart? I want to use with my friend and I while riding bikes and using my phone to take video..so I assume it would record audio on both my phone AND units themselves?

    I have used the original Wireless GO and bought the II 5 seconds after I saw it mentioned somewhere, using it with the Røde lav-mics + the windfur-things for the lavs and it works like a dream.. I am about to switch out my phone for one that does not have a dedicated minijack port anymore, and now I am worried that I can no longer have a power bank and the received attached at the same time.. I've been searching and searching and can only find dodgy looking usb->USB-C+minijack adapters that claim to work for my need, but no actual references to anyone using a setup with external power + a USB attached mic at the same time.. Anyone with any experience? Maybe Røde themselves?

      Hi Joseph. Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Wireless GO II. It should work straight away with an iOS device when connected using an MFi certified cable such as the SC15. Make sure the Wireless GO II is updated with the most recent firmware as well via the RØDE Central app. There you can also adjust settings for the Wireless GO II. If you're still experiencing issues, shoot us an email at service@rode.com and we'll help you out!

      Hey @SmoothKevT - we do hear our users' criticism about the cables that are included with our products. The Wireless products we've released since creating the Wireless GO II have included Lightning cables in the box. These comments really do help us improve what we provide to users like yourself!

    This is not 'wireless' as you need a wire attached to the receiver and phone, then attach it to the phone, cumbersomely negating the convenience of 'wireless'. If any know of a decent and truly 'wireless' solution, pls advise. Thanks

    Hi Rode,
    I've bought the Rode Wireless Go II and a SC21 (mentioned in your website that the functionality is the same as the SC15) to connect the reciever to my ipad/iphone (with the Rode reporter app downloaded), but everytime I connect the reciever to both apple devices, the "Internal Microphone" doesn't change to "External Microphone" within the app. The way I connect it is as so: (Reciever ⇔ SC21 ⇔ Ipad or Iphone). Could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong here???

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Leoto, the USB functionality here will work best if you use with the RØDE Central app, if you're still experiencing troubles connecting - please ensure that your receiver and transmitters' firmware are all up to date via your desktop RØDE Central app.

    Hi I have a zoom F6 and I want to buy the Rode wirless 2, I have a plug to XLR adapter cable, but as there is only one transmitter, this as separates the audios of the two transmitters... if it will be compatible, what do you recommend me... is it better to buy separately the Rode wirless 1?

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sharito, I hope I understand your question. You have the option of recording in either split or summed mode with the Wireless GO II. If you select split, you'll be able to record each transmitter to separate channels.

    Do you HAVE to use that SC16 or SC15 cables for connecting it with Android or iPhone smartphone? Can’t the 3.5mm cable be used for this? I couldn’t figure out why the smartphones won’t record audio through the microphones, however the receiver seem to receive the sound from the wireless microphones… If this is the case, I think it’s very bad to not provide the proper cables in the box and put on the outside “Made for iPhone”.

      I agree that they should provide the cables with the premium product. However, if you watched the video it mentions you can buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm to connect the receiver to older phones with phone jacks.

    • @badoners
      @badoners 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is better to have it separate just on the safe side in case anything happened you will get a back up recording. Merge mode will give you one recording and if anything occurs it will affect both recordings from both microphones since they are merging into one.

    Is there a functional difference between using an SC 15 vs. an SC 7 for mobile phone connectivity?

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only difference functionally is the SC15 will transfer it digitally, while the SC7 will be analog, that then needs to be transferred to a digital signal once it reaches the iPhone. The SC15 is also a cleaner setup.
