    I just picked up the Rode Wireless Go II to do some remote podcasts, this is by far the most complete video I have seen. Nice work!!

    awesome review as always dude! That Boya BY-M1 Mic is king at that price :)) I'm really pleased with its performance.

      It sounded pretty good didn't it? I did an interview the other day and it performed great. The only thing I noticed is that it picks up a bit more of the surroundings, so I have a bit of the voice of the other person being interviewed on it also, but it's easily edited if you record separate channels. Thanks a lot dear!!

    Intelligent and professional, thank you. These little mics make me nervous as a media pro but samples like this convince me that these technologies have really cut across the old ways of doing stuff. Range for size is simply amazing. Samples from cheap and expensive lav mics was surprising. Like 'pro' optics, a lifetime (40 years) of using a wide range of kit suggests that you have to be doing something pretty specialised before even professionals can tell the difference.
    I will be buying one of these but as a matter of interest - for people using these across a few days - you might include charge and download times for users who need to be back on set after breakfast! Also your own opinion of audio quality in real life directly from the Rode Go and when using a lav.
    Thanks.
    John M.

    Quick question : When I'm using merged mode, should I be using both transmitters for the recording? Lets say its just me anf I want to do a one person voiceover.... Will I use BOTH transmitters AND have merged mode turned on? What about the safety mode... Will I need both transmitters for that too? Or can I use safety with just one transmitter?

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi dear ! You only need one transmitter to be able to record anything you want! In this case, if you're using merged, both channels will have the audio from one transmitter only and that's it. You're good to go. Safety works the same way. As long as you have it activated, it will record internally. Hope it works out well for ya ! Let me know!

      Graaaaaande mano Dave, mito por aqui! Po essas paradas acontecem, e tem coisa q nao tem jeito depois de arrumar mto... Tu usou entao um boom mas o microfone ficou longe da pessoa falando entao? Se foi isso lanca um DeNoise e um DeReverb (se foi dentro de casa) e melhora o maximo q for possivel... Tem um outro software q me salvou uma vez tb do microfone pegando na camisa, chama Izotope, da uma olhada la :) Mas po, esse rodezinho salva mtoooo de ter dor de cabeca... E valeu mesmo ae a forca, abracao!!

      @@FlyEnri levei a minha vara de boom improvisada ( é mais um tripé de lâmpada improvisada kkkk ) e esqueci o cabo que estica da câmera até o meu Vídeo Mic NTG em casa.. tivemos apenas meia hora pra pegar todas as cenas do figurante que participou.. eu tô de cara no chão, pois já produzi um vídeo para esse cara antes com a vara de boom direitinho e o áudio saiu filet, mas agr apresentar um áudio assim mesmo depois que já fiz algumas correções no áudio no máximo q eu pude vai ser casca.. depois de assistir seu vídeo já tava até entrando no Mercado Livre pra comprar só que aqui no BR custa literalmente o dobro que tu pagaria aí fora 😅

I am starting doing videobloggin and hear some other people that use wireless go ii and dont hear too much noise on a crowded Street... Or does it have post production?? Thank you ver y much and keep gong.. 🔥

      Hi Andrés ! You definitely should do some post production, but ideally you should try to keep the camera levels as low as possible, and then adjust on the Rode. I feel like when the Rode is louder than -12 it begins to introduce too much surrounding noise, so I'd try to keep it lower.

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks dear!! Audio quality felt the same, stability of connection is better on version 2 if you will use it going far from the receiver, otherwise doesn't really matter much. If you're doing videos only with one person talking, and not critical jobs, I'd say the one is good enough and there are some deals. If you got the money though, and you might use a second TX in the future or if the safety channel feature for example is attractive, version II is a better pick and more future proof. Either way you'll be in for more life quality without cables hahaha

      Hi !! It should be recording to both channels the same content if you got merged. To save what you have already done, you can use an effect on Premiere or other softwares to copy the left to right channel ! But regarding the settings on the Rode if you got Merged it should be all good!

    • @FlyEnri

      Hi !! Perfectly normal, on Premiere you gotta use an effect called Copy Left to Right or Right to Left, and it will replicate the channel for you! On Da Vinci if you put the audio track as mono, you'll hear it from both sides also! Always something like this, depending on which editing software you're using :D

    I’m not understanding how the audio is being saved... Is there an sd card in the receiver? How do you get the audio to your computer?

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rodney !! There are two ways: the main one is that the transmitter sends the audio wirelessly to the camera, and it's recorded together with your video file. So when you get it from the camera, it's already altogether. The other way is that the transmitter has an internal memory. So later you just have to plug it with a usb-c cable to your computer and use Rode's central to download it :) Thanks for watching !

      Hi dear! I don't think there is any active noise cancelling in the rode 2, but the pick up pattern really makes working in busy environments not a problem at all. Of course there will be noise, but the talent's voice will be always wayyy more predominant. Is it any specific situation you're having trouble with ?

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Syed ! If you're hearing mono it's probably because in the receiver it's configured as Split. If you change it to Merged it will sound like coming from both sides. To fix what you've recorded already you just gotta duplicate the Right to the Left or the opposite, depends on which editing software you're using. About the setup on the Macbook Pro I don't know exactly since I use Windows here, but in theory you don't need to do anything specific for it to work. Simply connecting the receiver to the microphone input port (is there one?) should be enough :D Thanks for watching !

    If i connect the receiver to my camera and the transmitter to my subject. Does the audio save to my camera and receiver?
    also, I do not see a record button, does it start recording as soon as you turn on your camera?
    I tried recording an interview with the transmitter on a client and I was monitoring the receiver with headphones I plugged in. When I connected the receiver and transmitter to my computer, there was no audio saved. Not sure what I did wrong. Still learning.

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi dear !! So the receiver does not record the audio itself, it just passes it along to the camera. So you need to connect it to the camera, and to monitor the audio you have to connect your headphones to the camera also, but on another port. Now, you can also record audio on the transmitter, for that you can access all of the components through the computer or the app, using Rode Central, and enable TX recording over there. Once it's on there will be two modes: in one recording starts as soon as it's on. On second mode, it starts recording as soon as it's connected to the receiver. Ideally you'll have perfect audio directly in camera, together with your video file, meaning you don't have to synch or anything later on. Let me know if it was clear and if I can help with something else :D

      @FlyEnri Hi. It turned out that my volume was too low, so once I raised it, it was better. However, the audio still doesn't sound very good. Do you have any recommendations on how to improve it?

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jordanzell1 Yeah! So if it was too low, probably the gain on the receiver was way too low. You can do like this, plug some headphones into the receiver, put some video on youtube to play and the transmitter there. Now with the headphones on, go adjusting till you see the levels go 3 / 4 of the way on the bars and well, that you can hear it well enough. If that's good, it should be ok going into the phone. When you have to raise it too much, it brings up also the background noise and hiss, and makes a mess. Try that and let me know. Only other thing I can imagine is that maybe the phone app is doing something strange... good luck !

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Edward !! Yeah, you can, but when you use split you're gonna see each audio (from each transmitter) comes from only one side (right and left channels), so mono tracks. You can convert them to stereo by duplicating the channel inside your editing software. So you're gonna have in the end two audio tracks. Each one will have the same information on left and right channels. Thanks for watching and if you have any other doubts don't worry and write them here! • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Alicia !! There won't be a precise config, it all depends on how far you are from the noise and how close the mic is to you. I recommend you to keep it a palm away from your mouth, on the upper part of the shirt, and one thing that I don't like much is to use it in high sensitivity, I usually keep it on Medium. Apart from that it will take a bit of testing to check what will work best. If you get home and you see that the difference between you in silence and you speaking is at least -10dB or more, it will be roughly ok to listen to you. Do some tests and let me know how it goes :))) Good vlogs for you !!
