I know this video is a few years old, but I wanted to THANK YOU! I just installed an M4 GP slip on today on my 2016 Ninja 636 and your video was PERFECT!
I had to put my stock exhaust back on and didn't mark the servo cables properly, pretty sure I have put them on in the wrong place as the bike wouldn't rev past half revs on my first ride out, ie not past 8000 revs when at full throttle, was massively restricted, and engine fault light is on. Thanks for showing which is which!!! At least I hope thats all the problem is.
For those of you who tried to get the servo out on the exhaust side, unscrew the nut on the butterfly vavle and use a flat head driver to push it all the way out, that way you can take the servo cable out. I read the comment of twisting it left and right but it just wouldn work. I left the servo cable on the bike, havent give me a FI light yet so... IT was a PITA!!
Last year I got a second hand, that same model and year and I have been putting it in condition to assemble, in my country the parts do not appear easily to replace the bad ones but I do it little by little.
Thanks, very helpful video on how to remove the exhaust! I'll probably be installing the M4 slip-on on my ZX-6R '13 this weekend. Was kind of stressing when I saw in another video I had to remove the servo cables and such, but you made it really clear on what to do (with the side panels and everything as well). Awesome video and definitely helped me already :)
Been watching your vid over and over waiting on my rear stand to come in (last piece) so I can install my exhaust. Saw the Jeep in the shot after you started your bike, looks exactly like my garage with my ninja and wrangler sharing space. Love it, thanks for the super informative vid. It's gonna be a huge help for me!
dude thank you thank you thank you so much. i hate when people don't show the main steps but you did it so thank you very much for this video. i have the SAME exact bike so I'm getting the two brothers black series :DDDDD. I'm gonna out it in this weekend but i was nervous about the canister cause i saw in another video with marknowhereman. he took his rear wheel off so from then on i was nervous but turns out he didn't explore like you did lol! and the wires i was nervous about as well but you did it man. Cant say enough thanks!
Hahaha you're welcome man ! . Yeah it's nothing to rip your hair out for . The trickiest part is the pre chamber but it isn't that bad .. Take your time and you will be fine ! . I won't lie I watch marknowhere's video as well and was a bit freaked out too haha ! . You're welcome again !
thank you guy! you were my hero today :D with your video i was able to change my exhaust on my new ninja 2016 and never did any work on a bike before ^^
Thanks !! .. yeah its a great pipe, I've been through 3 with this bike, I couldn't find the right sound that I liked....finally this one was the final decision lol !!
Lol yea i just got my vance and hines slip on but sadly im at work so i'll have to install it tomorrow in the am i'll be following the video again. So you dont need the server cables anymore after you take off the stock exhaust ?
Very good choice ! . I know who you're talking about . And that's who made my mind up about this slip on haha ... I'm sorry but I don't rev much while the bike is stationary . I'll be posting another one while riding when the weather improves :) .thanks for watching !!
thanks ! .. I figured if I continued with the install it would make the video too long. plus two bros and other exhaust systems have great instructions on how to install .. thanks for watching !
Hi Drew S thanks for DIY video I like it very much it helps a lot and very informative, question what kind Two Brothers slip on model is it? I was planning to install S1R slip on exhaust.. any tip putting it on, thanks in advance.
Hey ! .. it's the Two Brothers Silver Series model ... I liked the look of this one better . I wasn't a fan of the yellow on the other can . But it's still a great pipe !
Great looking bike man, great set up- I have myself a 2013 zx-636 just started pimping it out and I also enjoy your jeep, I also have a 2013 jeep, lol. Keep up the great vids man. In ottawa we're summer is slowly fading away what about you in To.
no way ? ha that's cool man, yeah I enjoy driving the jeep in the winter, I've always had a lowered car, now with the jeep its awesome haha. I'm just north of the city, near wonderland .. the weather here isn't any better, it really sucks too ... the temps at night are around 5 degrees :(
Hey you might have answered this already but did you have to use a servo buddy after putting on the aftermarket exhaust? I got a new 2013 636 about a week ago and I'm gonna be installing the M4 exhaust today but I don't want to mess up anything lol, thanks for this video though, I'll most likely be using it to help me with my installation!
Hey how are you . No problem I'll answer again ! .. you don't need a servo buddy .. just keep the servo motor installed in the bike .. keep the harness plugged In .. just remove the cables and you're all good . You won't get any lights popping on, on the dash !. :)
I will buy a ZX6R 2017 and first thing will do is install the M4GP. Do you need if I strictly need to buy a *servo* *eliminator* in order *NOT* to get the Engine Check Light? Or is not necessary?
Eric Cava I don't I'm sorry, the instructions that come with the slip on are very helpful, I didn't think anyone would want the install of the pipe . its really simple. My apologies this reply took a while
You make it look easier than "Marknowhereman" he has some good videos, but it just seemed liked you were "This is simple" method. Audio sound could use work, but other than that keep up the videos, people like you are the reason why some of us figure out to do these things on our own so it doesn't cost us a arm and a leg for a dealer to do this. Also, what frame sliders do you got?
Haha ya man that's the idea ! . The dealers are most of the time way too expensive .... yeah I took the simpler way out for the prechamber ... The rear wheel never has to come off ... even putting the chamber back in is very simple .. just do opposite from the removal lol !! ... Unfortunately I started to speak lower for some reason lol ! . I caught myself doing it sometimes then spoke louder at times too lol ... had my gopro on my head with the head strap I should invest In the mic maybe !
Sorry forgot to add ... they're the yoshimura frame sliders .. no cutting needed and they look good in my opinion :D .. Thanks for checking out my vids!
Hello Drew, I need your help regarding the servor, left the valve Original servor removing the two wires or you installed a new servor body? greetings.
trey50z no problem ! ... I didn't do anything afterwards .. everything else is stock ... there's a very small noticeable difference in power, but nothing that will make you hate the ride .. I had an M4 at first and hated it .. sounded great . but it made the bike run horribly . definitely prefer the TB'S !
i have a quick question. When you remove the stock exhaust and inside the exhaust there is a silver circle thing. if you were to damage that do you know where to find a replacement? thank you.
Haha nice ! Yeah my buddy and I always like rolling around in groups through little towns ... we sound like a train rolling through .. amazing feeling ! Lol
I just installed a two brothers exhaust ,I have a 2013 zx636r and now my bike keeps stalling as soon as I turn the bike on . The zx6r was riding fine in till I change the exhaust. Do you have any suggestions ??
Hey how are you ? . Yeah you might need to look into changing your ecu ... my bike was stalling before and after a slip on . I got my ecu replace under warranty . It isn't your exhaust so now to worry about that! . And your exhaust didn't cause the ecu to go bad either . If you're out of warranty . Try calling kawasaki head office and see if they can do anything for you. .. show them my ecu swap video on my channel and show them the difference
Hey! What is 13:02 ? Tomorrow i'll be installing an SC Project to my zx6r 636 and don't know what is that! Do I need for anything? Sorry for my English, not my native language ^^
Hey . All that cable is, is the servo cables that are under the seat that run down to the muffler .... All you have to do is remove them if you remove the muffler . It's nothing serious and easy to come off ! . No worries about your message I understood !
Hey, you're right i never covered that . thats my bad ! ... the bracket gets installed where the right side foot peg bracket is, you have to unbolt the right side rear set, and bolt in the bracket in behind, its a bit of a pain in the butt . The pre chamber has to be removed by spinning the wheel downwards (think of it as you're riding), if you spin in downwards or forwards, the pre chamber will slide itself out, but do it slow and keep an eye on the gasket, you don't want to ruin that or else you'll have to buy a new one, it needs to be used with the new exhaust to stop leaks ! Let me know if theres anything else ?
Hey . It wouldn't hurt to have it ... Two brothers has their own system that you can install . But to spend the money on that you might as well have a full system .. but again it's still an option to have even with a slip on . Personally I don't have one . I just wanted the exhaust so I can be heard on the road . The bike is fast enough I don't need to worry about performance :)
Matt T Naw you'll be good . I forgot to mention .. the only thing you might notice is a minor loss of low end power .. because the pre chamber and factory exhaust help with back pressure ... a power commander or juice box pro will fix that by adjusting your air/fuel ratio . But no damage to the bike ! Not to worry !
Hey . It does not remove the cat, that's built into the headers ... However it does remove the exhaust's pre chamber .. which is the big canister before the muffler . You might be referring to that ?
Thanks man I was confusing myself with the pre chamber and cat, thanks for clarifying that. I just order my two brother vale m2 slipon for my 2014 zx6r gnna be following this video to take the exhaust off.
Humza Bhatti no problem at all ! .. If you need any guidance I'll be happy to help . But I hope i covered the most important parts of the install ! . You'll love the exhaust no doubt !
Oh trust me you won't need anywhere near a 19mm socket. If memory serves me right . you'll only need a max 13 or 14 mm socket, but remember you'll need some Allen bits as well . I can't think of those sizes right now but I can let you know ... unless you already figured it out !
Do you run a silencer on your two bros? I have an m4 but im debating on switching to the two brothers to get that deeper sound. But was wondering how much does the silencer cut out? Cause I run stage 2 on my m4 but its to quiet and the stage 1 baffle was just to loud haha.. Can't find a medium on the m4 and its to high pitched for my liking
Hey man thanks for watching .. that's one of the reasons why I opted out of my m4 was because of how high pitched it was .. and because it caused my bike to inherit some crazy vibrations .. I don't have a silencer in my two brothers exhaust ... I don't think you need it to be honest ... After a long ride with my m4 my ear would be ringing and wouldn't be able to hear from It ... With the two bros pipe I don't have this problem. . And the sound is so much nicer. Very very deep . And screams when she's opened up ! If there's anything else you'd like to know just let me know !
Drew S Yeah great review! Oh shoot for real? So the two brothers isn't as loud? Everyone tells me its just as loud but im guessing thats just because its deeper? I have feel so subconscious riding through neighborhoods at night when i didn't have the stage 2 silencer in the m4. And with the silencer its to quite and the sound just sucked so bad
redfire560 oh no no its definitely loud lol .. my buddy and I were rolling through a small town . As I looked over I said a few little kids cover their ears as we rolled through . Lol so yes its very loud . However I don't find it ear numbing when you ride with it lol!
Drew S was advised the hardware store would have them, I'll have to check it later. Thanks for the reply. You have always been helpful. Keep more vids coming.
**HI, I need your help and I'm stuck. How do you get the servo cables out? I followed your instructions but got stuck where I loosen the 2 bolts from the servo cables. Thanks mate...I'll be waiting for your answer
Drew S The exhaust side. I've loosened up those 10mm nuts but unsure how to unhook it, do I need to put a little force in it? I see that you unhook from the bottom then work your way up and got the cables out, that's what i'm trying to do. Thanks for the fast reply though.
MrSomchine13 ahhh ok yeah that's a bit tricky ... you have to turn the butterfly valve so that you can create slack on the cable to take the hook out of the holder .. then you should be good !
Hey . this only deletes the pre chamber ... the cat still remains on the header pipe .. if you wanted to delete the cat you can buy the full header back exhaust . hope that helps
+Joonagoona It was very helpful for me. If you really want to see a bad walk-through, check out marknowhereman.. now that's bad. Also, let's see you do better. ;)
I know this video is a few years old, but I wanted to THANK YOU! I just installed an M4 GP slip on today on my 2016 Ninja 636 and your video was PERFECT!

+sprocket226 No problem !
+sprocket226 Did you have a check engine light come on when you removed the servo cables??
Last year I got a second hand, that same model and year and I have been putting it in condition to assemble, in my country the parts do not appear easily to replace the bad ones but I do it little by little.

Why'd u skip installing the slip on? Isn't that the point of this video?
cheers for the video mate, got my arrow exhaust onto my 2015 636 thanks to you :)
ride safe brother
That's awesome ! . Glad I can help a fellow 636 owner out ! .. you ride safe too bro ! . Thanks for watching !
Great video man! What frame sliders are on your zx6r?
Great video man very hopefully myabe later on down the road i'll get a two brothers slip on sounds really nice 👍👍👌👌

Adrian Iturriaga Nope no need for them, they're attached to the rear canister, and not the pre chamber ...so you're good !
Thanks for the video! I was able to put my exhaust on in 40min!
No problem at all . thank you for watching
Good job! I also change 2 brothers exhasut on my 2014 zx6r
Thanks man ! .. I'm loving this exhaust ! . Hope you are too !
Hey Drew, thanks for this helpful video. Am getting my white 2013 zx6r 636 soon. Hopefully i can diy new exhaust into my new bike. =D
Nice !!! .. and thank you I'm happy it helped you out ! . Have fun on your new 636 !
Two Brother's is very loud exhaust - I dont know even if its legal to ride around that loud =)
Good luck! +1
I was going to go with 2 brothers also, another person on youtube has great audio with his, he has silver series. It sounds so much better than m4
Very good choice ! . I know who you're talking about . And that's who made my mind up about this slip on haha ... I'm sorry but I don't rev much while the bike is stationary . I'll be posting another one while riding when the weather improves :) .thanks for watching !!
best video ive seen for removal u skipped install must not be hard at all. putting this exhaust on my 2015. great video though.
thanks ! .. I figured if I continued with the install it would make the video too long. plus two bros and other exhaust systems have great instructions on how to install .. thanks for watching !

No not at all man :) sounds great! Hope you keep this one ;)
Haha yeah i Will definitely be keeping this slip on lol Finally !
wow that sounds awesome. I think I will get one for mine!
Hey you might have answered this already but did you have to use a servo buddy after putting on the aftermarket exhaust? sorry it's a little late .. but I left the servo plugged in .. just removed the cables . no need for a servo buddy
excellent video.
For the Vance and hines did you need to remove the prechamber as well? Or did it bolt onto the prechamber
Do you have a video of actually installing the two brother exhaust after the removal.
Eric Cava I don't I'm sorry, the instructions that come with the slip on are very helpful, I didn't think anyone would want the install of the pipe . its really simple.
My apologies this reply took a while

Hello Drew, I need your help regarding the servor, left the valve Original servor removing the two wires or you installed a new servor body? greetings.

I had an M4 at first and hated it .. sounded great . but it made the bike run horribly . definitely prefer the TB'S !
Did you gut out your cat found in the header?
My two bros black arrives tomorrow. Did you gut the cat from the header?
No i didn't i kept everything from the two bro's forward stock .. Didn't need to go any louder than what it is now !
Marked T and B to install TB(two brothers) exhaust... 😂 coincidence?
dont know if you remember, but was the catalytic converter still installed or was it taken out when you had the two bros exhaust on?
At 12:27 you made that look so easy but it’s really not. What step did you skip because my cables are tight as fuck in there
Great video! Thanks!
oV Lunaa no problem !
i have a quick question. When you remove the stock exhaust and inside the exhaust there is a silver circle thing. if you were to damage that do you know where to find a replacement? thank you.
Do you need a bike stand to change it out?
No power commander needed right?
Me and my bro both have 13 636s and I have the m4, and he the two bros. we're always having rev battles lol
Haha nice ! Yeah my buddy and I always like rolling around in groups through little towns ... we sound like a train rolling through .. amazing feeling ! Lol
This helps a lot thanks
Did the servo motor ever bother you when you were riding? Like could you feel it move underneath the seat when you would ride?
oV Lunaa hope you cannot feel the motor nor can you hear it ! . ps sorry for the delayed reply !
Don't get married, stick to your motorcycle.
George McKean Very wise words
does removing the servo cables throw a light?
Nope ! . If you unplug the servo itself it will throw a code . Keep it plugged in and you'll be good !
hey do you guys know how to remove the stock oem gaskets?
If you take off the servo cables but leave the motor in, do you get a check engine light?
Ahmed Elshebiny Nope! . just keep the motor connected . just remove the cables . you'll be good !
+Drew S sounds good. I was a bit worried about that. Thanks again for your help. Great bike btw. I drive an 09
Hey, you never showed where the mounting bracket go? how do I install the rest? I cant seem to get my damn pre chamber off
Hey, you're right i never covered that . thats my bad ! ... the bracket gets installed where the right side foot peg bracket is, you have to unbolt the right side rear set, and bolt in the bracket in behind, its a bit of a pain in the butt . Let me know if theres anything else ?
Hey man, I was thinking of getting the same exhaust as this but was wondering if it needs a remap or tune since youre removing the prechamber?
Drew S Oh okay. Thanks for the quick reply! I wasn't sure if just having the slip on might damage something.
Someone told me that the power gonna lose if u dont install the power command, just replace the silp on
Tristan Yang never had an issue with power loss . bike felt the same before and after the slip on
@Drew S
When you installed the M4 did you have to remove your back tire ?
Trickpony760 No you shouldn't have to remove the back tire.
Hey bud just a question does the two brother slip in remove the cat?

can you tell me what size wrenches i'll need. my set stops at a 19 will i need anything larger?
Oh trust me you won't need anywhere near a 19mm socket. If memory serves me right . you'll only need a max 13 or 14 mm socket, but remember you'll need some Allen bits as well . I can't think of those sizes right now but I can let you know ... unless you already figured it out !

Do you know where I can get a cotter pin and do you know what size? Went to dealer but they directed me to hardware store.
K Vang unfortunately I don't know man I'm sorry .. best thing to.do would be to check the forums ... I'm sure someone would know there !
Hey . Glad to help . What end of the cables are you trying to remove ? . The exhaust side or under your seat ?
Drew S The exhaust side. I've loosened up those 10mm nuts but unsure how to unhook it, do I need to put a little force in it? I see that you unhook from the bottom then work your way up and got the cables out, that's what i'm trying to do. Thanks for the fast reply though.
MrSomchine13 ahhh ok yeah that's a bit tricky ... you have to turn the butterfly valve so that you can create slack on the cable to take the hook out of the holder .. then you should be good !
MrSomchine13 let me know how it works out for you !
Drew S Ok, thanks! Thank god I didn't force it out. Lol...I'll let you know how it goes.
Removing the Cat , wouldn't that effect the performance of the bike
super like you are the best thank you for the video
does anyone know if a mid pipe is needed for this exhaust to do a cat delete?
Hey . this only deletes the pre chamber ... the cat still remains on the header pipe .. if you wanted to delete the cat you can buy the full header back exhaust . hope that helps
+Drew S would a mid pipe take the cat away or would I need the full headers?
+nick spicer you would need a full header . the cat is built into the stock headers . just before the pre chamber
+Drew S ahh gotcha. thanks very much man. big help. great video too. ride safe.
could someone that has 0 mechanical knowledge do this? i have a 2016 and i assume it's basically the same model
lordshampoo correct . everything from 2013 to 2016 is the same ! .. if you have basic tool knowledge you'll be good !
don't try this at home!!!! if u break ur bike u gonna hate it
can i buy your m4? seriously ?
+TheReachArround Sorry I already sold it a while ago.
Worst walk through ever
+Joonagoona It was very helpful for me. If you really want to see a bad walk-through, check out marknowhereman.. now that's bad. Also, let's see you do better. ;)
on the pre chamber.... which gasket goes on the header side... thin or thick gasket
