2021 Crosstrek Sport/Outdoor Steering Wheel Gold Trim Removal
I have never liked the gold trim on the steering wheel of my RED 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Outdoor.
So I have decided to remote it, and create a little video on how to remove based on the feedback I have received from the Canadian Crosstrek group I am a part of on Facebook .
Remember to disconnect the battery !!!!
if you don't, chances of something happening to the airbag are slim, but why mess around with slim chances .. Might as well disconnect the battery !!!

Haven't posted a video in a while, or a riding video ... Ever lol , and since most of my videos are of DIY's, I've decided to post a short riding video of 2014 ! It's nothing special, just wanted to
2013 ZX6R - Old & New ECU
มุมมอง 14K10 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone, I had my bike in to finally swap out my old ECU for a new one. Dealer completed this on the spot. It took me over a year and a half to have this work done, I can finally say my bike does not stall anymore :D This is a comparison clip between my bike starting with the old ECU and my bike starting with the new ECU. Both times the bike was not started for about a week. The end result...
2013 ZX6R Two Brothers Ride
มุมมอง 15K10 ปีที่แล้ว
Posted up a video not too long ago for the uninstall of the OEM exhaust including the Pre chamber, and the finished install of the Two Brothers Silver Series slip on exhaust. I'm sorry for the popping sound in the video, my rendering software must be messed up. Enjoy!
2013 ZX6R Exhaust Removal
มุมมอง 56K10 ปีที่แล้ว
Whats up everyone? I installed a new Two Brother's Silver Series slip on exhaust and decided to make somewhat of a detailed video of the removal of the OEM Exhaust and Pre chamber. This is exhaust number 3 and hopefully the last lol ! If you have any questions please feel free to ask, if I missed something by all means let me know :) I have posted this to help out others and give them some help...

Here's a short clip of the last ride I went on in 2013 with my buddy. It had started to rain during our ride so the roads were very slick. You can get a general idea of how the exhaust sounds on a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R 636 :)
2013 Kawasaki ZX6R 636 Cold Start Problem
มุมมอง 18K11 ปีที่แล้ว
I'm sure the majority of people that own this Kawasaki model have this same issue when starting the bike cold, it will stall, and will start after 2 or 3 attempts. I had my bike at my dealer for two weeks, they said they couldn't replicate the problem ... the day after i brought it home, it stalled on me, But I'm happy I was able to get it stalling on camera. Hope this helps those having this s...
July 12th, 2013 - Green Fireball
มุมมอง 64011 ปีที่แล้ว
While out for a late right with a friend of mine, we were amazed to see this bright green fireball fall from the sky. It lasted for a few seconds then vanished in the distance. We were riding through Orangeville, Ontario, Canada around the time of 9:45 pm .. I've never seen anything in real life like this, and I must say, it was pretty cool !! I know a few other friends that saw it as well !
DIY: 2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R 636 HID install
มุมมอง 28K11 ปีที่แล้ว
So ... This really isn't a true DIY for an HID install, I had already installed my HID on the bike right when I brought it home, I just never thought to make a video. I know and HID install is very easy to do, that's why this is not really a DIY, but more like a way to help everyone out who wants to do this, get an idea of some ways to install it ! I also added the Windscreen removal and reinst...
DIY: 2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R 636 Fender Eliminator/Plastics Removal
มุมมอง 21K11 ปีที่แล้ว
I installed my new Targa fender eliminator kit this weekend and wanted to provide a detailed DIY video for those that have this bike and would like to remove the plastics surround the seat, and tail sections. The Targa kit's quality is high, I am very impressed with the install, it wasn't hard at all ! This is my first Vlog, please rate and comment :) I take no responsibility to those who attem...

GoPro On my Nitro RS4 OS CV-R 18
มุมมอง 1.5K12 ปีที่แล้ว
I recently swapped my old HPI motor, which lasted me 13 years, with a brand new OS 18 CV-R motor. So far I'm please with it, I've kept the car idling for a few gas tanks, and in the videos today, just started driving it. I ran 3 full tanks of gas through the car, I haven't pushed it yet, however near the end of the video, I just started to push it slightly into 2nd gear.
Hi, where are you from?
Hello, do you still own this bike?
Ha no idea how I got here but have the same bike and year to the T. I love the black and white color way and you do not see many on the road. I did take off all the stickers all but the tank and K.I.B.S on the front fender. Just hit 30K and still a rocket. Moore Mafia tune, ceramic wheel bearings, Two Bro's full exhaust, 520 Vortex conversion kit and a whole host of goodies. So glad they have awesome LED light kits now days, no more wires or ballast to deal with. Also Have a ZX10R but find this way more fun to hit the track and backroad twisties. Cheers
you think they would still do this in 2023? I bought this bike used and i have this exact problem. I suspect the ecu never got swapped out.
Super helpful and a great video. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Hi, do you have any idea how to remove the other trim parts of the steering wheel to paint?
Very happy to know this will be trivial to remove to change its appearance. Probably plastidip it black, or red to match the rest of the car. It's an odd choice that Subaru picks a single color theme for the different cars regardless of outside color. All the puke yellow accents in a bright red car just looks weird. Are the other similar bits of plastic around the cruise/music controls also similarly removable?
mine does it when its hot
I was happy to find a video showing how to remove that trim piece for modification. However, the ending was so abrupt! I was hoping the second half would show the reassembly with an updated look. I'm looking forward to changing out that piece. Thanks!
Yea I realize I ended it so quickly, my apologies. Hopefully it helped you as much as it could !
Hai just want to know..you just swap the ecu plug and play or must to change the key..because some people told me if to swap the new ecu must come with the new keys..if not its not able to start the engine..
Did you figure the issue?
Removing the Cat , wouldn't that effect the performance of the bike
if I buy a (new) used ECU, do I have to syncronize the immobilizer or just plug n play?
What is that ticking sound when you keep a constant throttle?
I had to put my stock exhaust back on and didn't mark the servo cables properly, pretty sure I have put them on in the wrong place as the bike wouldn't rev past half revs on my first ride out, ie not past 8000 revs when at full throttle, was massively restricted, and engine fault light is on. Thanks for showing which is which!!! At least I hope thats all the problem is.
Im trying to flash my ecu but im not sure where it is could you tell me where it is
Great car, great bike. Love yer garage bud 👌
Last year I got a second hand, that same model and year and I have been putting it in condition to assemble, in my country the parts do not appear easily to replace the bad ones but I do it little by little.
At 12:27 you made that look so easy but it’s really not. What step did you skip because my cables are tight as fuck in there
Yoshi exhaust gang over here but if I ever switch it will be M4
For the Vance and hines did you need to remove the prechamber as well? Or did it bolt onto the prechamber
I have a 2018 636 coming from an 05. What are the two plugs located in the tail? I think they for the ecu. But there are two of them. My 05 did not have this. One look fairly secure and the other more center is just sitting on some foam. I got my bike used with 150 miles and did not get a manual. If anyone knows. Thank you.
excellent video.
I know this video is a few years old, but I wanted to THANK YOU! I just installed an M4 GP slip on today on my 2016 Ninja 636 and your video was PERFECT!
dont know if you remember, but was the catalytic converter still installed or was it taken out when you had the two bros exhaust on?
Great video, very good advises! I wish that you have shown us actual work. I want to do fender eliminator kit on my 2017 zx-6r but I am afraid to not brake that left rear faring with 636 on it. Do you have any advice? is it possible to unhooked wires if I just unscrew those screws that holds faring peace (will open up space?) or whole plastic peace has to go off?
I have the 2014 model with 13k miles on it and never had it stall on me! Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way
I will buy a ZX6R 2017 and first thing will do is install the M4GP. Do you need if I strictly need to buy a *servo* *eliminator* in order *NOT* to get the Engine Check Light? Or is not necessary?
Why'd u skip installing the slip on? Isn't that the point of this video?
Where did you get the red led lights?
My bike randomly pops the check engine light after I felt a missfire and shift to "L" mode.. any idea of what can be the cause?
wow that sounds awesome. I think I will get one for mine!
Thanks, very helpful video on how to remove the exhaust! I'll probably be installing the M4 slip-on on my ZX-6R '13 this weekend. Was kind of stressing when I saw in another video I had to remove the servo cables and such, but you made it really clear on what to do (with the side panels and everything as well). Awesome video and definitely helped me already :)
Do you know where I can get a cotter pin and do you know what size? Went to dealer but they directed me to hardware store.
K Vang unfortunately I don't know man I'm sorry .. best thing to.do would be to check the forums ... I'm sure someone would know there !
Drew S was advised the hardware store would have them, I'll have to check it later. Thanks for the reply. You have always been helpful. Keep more vids coming.
I pick it up tomorrow 😃
where you been , I like your videos !!! just bought me a 2015 left over kawasaki zx6r!!!! I'm watching your videos to learn about mine 👍👍😉
Tow Sr. i got a new job a couple of years ago and got married so I've had hardly any time to do any long rides ... went on one last year and a track day, I have the videos but haven't been able to put together a proper video lol ! . I appreciate the compliments and kind words ! . how's the new bike ?
Of.i ever get any time to ride I'd love it , but busy all the time , but it's pretty sitting in the garage ready to go at any time , !!!!! But I love this new bike , it's just what I wanted . 👌 PERFECT
Tow Sr. Ha same here , I've loved my bike ever since I bought it !
Thank you for this video! do you need a PCV or ecu flash after this slip on? any lost in power?
trey50z no problem ! ... I didn't do anything afterwards .. everything else is stock ... there's a very small noticeable difference in power, but nothing that will make you hate the ride .. I had an M4 at first and hated it .. sounded great . but it made the bike run horribly . definitely prefer the TB'S !
Did you gut out your cat found in the header?
My two bros black arrives tomorrow. Did you gut the cat from the header?
No i didn't i kept everything from the two bro's forward stock .. Didn't need to go any louder than what it is now !
Just installed a Graves exhaust with your help! Great video
Aldo Villalta thank you ! . glad it was helpful for you !. ride safe !
Did the servo motor ever bother you when you were riding? Like could you feel it move underneath the seat when you would ride?
oV Lunaa hope you cannot feel the motor nor can you hear it ! . ps sorry for the delayed reply !
Great video! Thanks!
oV Lunaa no problem !
Two Brother's is very loud exhaust - I dont know even if its legal to ride around that loud =) Good luck! +1
If you take off the servo cables but leave the motor in, do you get a check engine light?
Ahmed Elshebiny Nope! . just keep the motor connected . just remove the cables . you'll be good !
+Drew S sounds good. I was a bit worried about that. Thanks again for your help. Great bike btw. I drive an 09
don't try this at home!!!! if u break ur bike u gonna hate it
Marked T and B to install TB(two brothers) exhaust... 😂 coincidence?
could someone that has 0 mechanical knowledge do this? i have a 2016 and i assume it's basically the same model
lordshampoo correct . everything from 2013 to 2016 is the same ! .. if you have basic tool knowledge you'll be good !
Someone told me that the power gonna lose if u dont install the power command, just replace the silp on
Tristan Yang never had an issue with power loss . bike felt the same before and after the slip on
i got the same problem.. but mine dies when riding :/ and my vin is not on the recall
Thanks for the video! I was able to put my exhaust on in 40min!
No problem at all . thank you for watching
does anyone know if a mid pipe is needed for this exhaust to do a cat delete?
Hey . this only deletes the pre chamber ... the cat still remains on the header pipe .. if you wanted to delete the cat you can buy the full header back exhaust . hope that helps
+Drew S would a mid pipe take the cat away or would I need the full headers?
+nick spicer you would need a full header . the cat is built into the stock headers . just before the pre chamber
+Drew S ahh gotcha. thanks very much man. big help. great video too. ride safe.
in every video regardless of bike...two bros sounds better than yoshi. Im looking at trading in my katana (that i have a 2 bros on lol)for an 06 zx6r. Question why did u originally decide to get rid of the yoshis? I want something loud. Do u think the yoshis were loud enough? The 2 bros for the 05/06 zx6r cost double the price of the yoshis....guess cuz its dual pipes. Do u think it was worth nearly double the price? Having a really hard time debating. Like the price tag of the yoshis....but would rather get the better sounding/louder exhaust. Thanks!!!!
Hey ! . 100% it was worth the switch ... I bought the bike with the yoshi pipe already installed ... the guy that had the bike before did a horrible job installing it so it looked mangled . sound wise though .. the two bros sounded so much better . and was definitely louder than the yoshi . and in my opinion . the two bros was was a way WAY nicer looking set up ! if you go to with two bros you won't be disappointed. install was a breeze too. thanks for watching !
+Drew S watched this again bro and noticed u have the red wheels....i picked up an 06 636 this past Friday. We have the same model. It came with the same exact yoshi u took off too.....for now i have to keep it as is until maybe next season i can splurge on the dual carbon two bros set up. subbed also. I will try and get a walk around vid up asap.
