    The Xterra Pro will keep up with the Equinox 600/800 all day long. They are all operating on the same processor. I have one on order to use in the water so I don’t have to take my Equinox 800 in the water. The Xterra Pro will work with all Equinox coils so that is a big plus.

    The new "best detector ever" as far as value goes. I`d love to have one for old home sites along the Sabine River but I don`t live there anymore. You can legally camp, hunt, and metal detect along that river. My old detector only went about 6 inches deep max on coin sized objects but I found a lot of rings and coins there in some places.

    Great job Austin! Love that your doing a hunt with Exterra the silver ring up in the high 60’s. Ordered the Exterra today from my Local Bass Pro, should be ready for pickup in a couple of days. I watched a vid the other day where the guy dug up a Honker gold ring & the VDI was a solid 50!

    Not many deep targets obviously due to how small some were which is impressive right there. For the money I'd definitely say it's a no brainer to buy an xterra pro. I've been reading about some of the advanced settings and wow? So many features for so little price. Another great video mate.
    Just remember everytime you change the frequency you need to go back into settings and redo any changes you made previously. Including noise cancellation and ground balance. Just by ground balancing your going to get better depth and stability.
    Cheers

    • @diemaschine2287
      @diemaschine2287 ปีที่แล้ว

      What advanced features? It cannot tell the difference between a sterling silver ring and a zinc penny. Silver is way higher quality conductor. If your juat going to be forced to dig everything anyway whats the point in wasting money on a $1000+ machine like the manticore that really doesn't discriminate metals better than a $400 machine? A 1-4 on a silver ring? Thats iron on any other machine and you really think its a good deal?

    • @lancepeterson5408
      @lancepeterson5408 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sterling silver ring can read like a zinc penny. 65 vdi is in the silver range...it was a small silver ring. Size has a lot to do with conductivity. No?

    • @ddljr9880
      @ddljr9880 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@diemaschine2287 You do realize this is the X-Terra Pro ($269.99) and not the Manticore right? Why do you keep replying about a machine this video has nothing to do with?

    • @davidbutlerjydstrupes5383
      @davidbutlerjydstrupes5383 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@diemaschine2287 Actually if you tweak it you can get solid readings in accurate ranges on anything. That ring he found was very thin and had dips in it for stones. That would throw off any detector until you tweaked the settings. In order for it to read properly it has to have a good surface otherwise you wont get enough feedback to properly identify something. The thin shape plus the material could easily have given that reading to a Manticore even.

    Great Finds man! All these new detectors from Minelab I'm not impressed with. I have been watching a lot of vids of all of them. End result is, the 800 would do just as well. Remember , you gotta put the coil over it to get it. Saw One a TH-camr pull an Ike dollar off the beach with a Manticore and flip out because he has never found one before. 2 days after that I watched another video from another dude(YOOOO!) with a Legend pull an Ike dollar off the beach. Totally proves my point.

      I think you're right about that, my Nox 600 will still do the job just fine. New detectors becoming like new phones... I have fun messing around with them though. :) For someone who just has under $300 to spend it's a decent pickup but it's not gonna replace or find more than any machine we already have.👍

      I think the target ID sometimes can be a little hit or miss & it doesn't seem to ID foil very well on the beach.. but honestly I think it's pretty good for the price. Tones are nice, a decent amount of quality of life settings to mess around with if you want to. People seem to compare it too much to Nox 600.. it's cheaper than a Vanquish 440 so pretty good in my opinion considering price & what it offers.👍

    • @TreasureOutdoors
      @TreasureOutdoors  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a great question... hard one to answer! People with metal detectors will dig up just about anything😂 Make sure you don't leave it somewhere overnight or you could try hiding it in a very odd spot that you think no one would want to look.

    Sonmany different detectors it’s interesting how they all give different numbers for the same metals. Is there really any benefit to getting a $1700 manticore vs a $300-400 garret? Oh a 35-36 could be a zinc penny, pull tab, bottle cap or can scrap. If the 1700 detector cant discriminate with all ita fancy “multi frequency”. Seems to me all the high end are good for is deep or really small targets like earrings.

    • @stephenpendegraph7209
      @stephenpendegraph7209 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just my opinion, Garretts budget line , Ace, is way behind in technology compared to Minelab and Nokta. Unless you just gotta have American made I'd say save money whike getting a better , well more advanced, detector form Nokta or Minelab.

    • @diemaschine2287
      @diemaschine2287 ปีที่แล้ว

      My comment was related to the target IDs on all metal detectors and how no matter what price range you really can’t trust the target ID. I have a Nokta Legend and bottle caps ring up high 40,s to low 50’s just like quarters and pennies. A 925 sterling ring rang up same target ID that I see for dimes. 10-18k gold and led sinkers sound the same. And have similar target IDs. Basically what’s the point in a high end detector with all this multi frequency tech when my $100 amazon basics performs the same functionality telling me there is metal under the coil. Sure you will dig less iron but honestly look at all the holes you dig for garbage like foil ring pulls and tiny aluminum scraps.
