I have been looking at that machine for an entry level pice of equipment for the beach in Florida. I located utilities for a number of years and there doesn’t seem to be that much of a difference once you understand what your machine is telling you. One of the best tutorials I’ve ever seen. Thanks.
Wow that's a fast walker for sure and I bet ALOT of the targets were missed walking that fast but I swing fast but I walk very slowly and let the detector tell me that it's found a target....
Absolutely, please do not walk as fast as me in this video, you will miss a stack! I was just testing machine with my own targets, I was not hunting the beach.
Felt exactly the same thing and he never tweaked the machine on any of those little "blips" that dont register a number. I can tell you from personal experience with the Xterra Pro that those little blips are ACTUALLY OBJECTS and when you find one you zero in on it with the settings and you can pull solid numbers on the smallest deepest targets. No brainer of a machine. If you havent bought it already... do it. He isnt using a fraction of its capability in this video. And swinging too fast with super high sensitivity and complaining about jumpy numbers...
@@davidbutlerjydstrupes5383 Yep, this is another TH-cam expert video. When i seen the pace and the swing, then the walking past targets I hit the pause and i'm moving on.
Olá amigo! Moro no Brasil e esse é o teste que estava procurando a algum tempo, o seu vídeo me ajudou a decidir pela compra do X Terra, é uma boa máquina, parabéns! Deixei o like 👍🤝 😊😊🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Been detecting for 40n years, I would use it, Yes on the beach too, but better use the Manticore for that little extra depth and bad target ID, I just got it but will be backup to others for now aqnd maybe to let my granddaughter use it in a park Nice video
Thanks for the video. I'm going to try the larger EQX 15 Double D Smart Coil on the X-terra Pro this weekend to see how much better it is wish me luck :)
Not tweaking the settings and leaving it at high sensitivity is why your signals are jumping. I can tell you it pulls stable signals through 1 foot of ROCK at like 15 sensitivity. Simply put you had it too high and didnt mess with the recovery or frequency. Another note... just because youre at the beach doesnt mean you have to use beach mode. It is stable in all of them and if you set it for dense soil you will find SUPER DEEP stuff in something like sand.
Thank you for the tutorial. I have to say I get better signals and readings on Beach2 with a 20 thresh hold in the sand and water.Do you know why that would be?
It's great on rings at the beach at good depths.......and even on extremely small low conductive items. This machine will have no problems at all pulling rings from the wet sand.I know because I own one.
I don't use the on board camera sound. I have a lavalier mic hooked up to a separate sound recorder and do some post processing afterwards. If you want good sound tips, check out @Markuspix on youtube.
Hi again. After watching this video I might reconsider this. What would you consider as good or better for detection quality in the same price range? (Waterproof & Submersible) You do great videos, I watched the demo on the user features before this one. Thanks from the USA.
Thanks, I just replied to your comment on my other video too. I am looking forward to testing the Quest Q35, I think it will rival this machine. Watch out for more videos with reviews of the Q35 and then I would like to do a comparison at the beach between the two machines. Similar price point, both have selectable frequencies, both waterproof - performance at the beach I will test.
@@treasure_hunters Interesting to people like myself, I look forward to the alert. I looked at the website but did not see the khz. Thank you , have a fun weekend.
All about separations tone pitch is spot on for beach parks love notch brilliant naild half sovereign then 2meters got a full sovereign free detector lol 😂 plus 380 bucks in dollar coins 180 in 2 dollar coins on last road trip notch was park 2. Keep 42 43 all 50ies all 60ies keep 78 79 80 85 86 88 keep 90 98 96 the res knock out. Thats for my ground bloody brilliantly spot on.
So was it 90 %silver or nickel coin i. Wet sand an dry.?? Our threepence and 5 cent coins are not the same. People say silver but is it true silver ???
No ruler to measure depth? There should be IN/CM scribed into the side of your handheld pinpointer.. If not, create one with a sharpie/felt marker. Cheers!
In my opinion, a MD that doesn´t eliminate bottlecaps has no chances on the beach today. And 8khz will let you miss tiny gold stuff. Good for beginners...and that´s all. Nothing more.
I guess you are looking for machine that also digs targets for you? FYI - I’ve been doing this for a long time and a MD that can successfully eliminate ALL bottle caps does not exist.
@@kromedge Successfully? You need to make a rain`s dance with the edges of the coil to try to spot a bottlecap, expecially on depth, with poor results on infested site. With MF machines you have iron bias that eliminates them without dancing, and without notching anything. The manticore it simply ignores the most part of them even with no iron bias enabled. What are we talking about?
What a load of tripe, until you have used one don't make stupid comments.......its great on the beach and deep on the wet sand......far from being a beginners machine.
@@neilgutteridge6405 I own an X-Terra Pro (along with several other detectors) and it’s a decent machine. I’ve used it in parks in Ontario Canada as well as parks and beaches in Southern California. It has performed better in every scenario than I ever expected it to. For the price, you’d be hard pressed to find a better “all around” detector anywhere. Sure - the VDI numbers can be a little jumpy at first but once you thoroughly learn and customize this machine, they seem don’t seem to be an issue anymore. Right now, I wouldn’t have any issue making this my go-to machine.

Next time try using Beach 2 in the wet sand with 5 Tones, Threshold 18 . See how it goes
