    Finally, a review of the 110 in a gig situation. This has solidified my decision to get one. Thank you!

    I have the 210 and use it for medium size gigs, if anyone is questioning it's power and output then feel free to call our drummer and find out how he got pinned to the wall by it. Fabulous amp.. 160 watts of class A/B pushing the same amount of air as a Rumble 500, I tested both and the Katana has it.

      Glad to hear that it pins drummers to the wall 😂😁 thats why we do this! 😄

    Sounds great.I have the 210 and love it.All the people I hear saying that the ab power amps arent powerfull enough well listen to this.

      I totally agree 😃 Honestly, I wish I had the 210! Just to get a little more power 😅

    So, you used the 110 as a fallback/monitor and also used the distortion/compression/effects? Did your in-ears come from the sound engineer or from the amp/cabinet? Sorry I didn't get that. But thanks for showing the 110. It's a great little amp with lots of great features!

    • @AndreasOxholm
      @AndreasOxholm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were using in-ears for the show where sound was provided from the sound engineer, but we didn't have that system during the pre-production/rehearsals, which made it crucial for me to have an amp instead of just line in ☺️ sorry I didn't explain that so well in the video.. But yeah, it's a great amp! And thanks for commenting 😃

    Im looking at a 110. Just wondering how its holding up to gigs.

    • @AndreasOxholm
      @AndreasOxholm  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you're going to play gigs where the bass amp has to carry through along with PA, than I would recommend 2x10 ☺️ but if your only using the amp for practice and tonesetting, than 1x10 is gonna be more than enough. Did that make sense? ☺️

  • @rolfj953

    Do you change presets during the performance? If so do you time to click on the katana for that?

    • @AndreasOxholm
      @AndreasOxholm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On this show I didn't change mid song, but between songs I tapped the presets on the amp. I wish to get the pedalboard / footswitch for the Katana Bass 😁

      @@AndreasOxholm I am looking at the boss ga fc also. Too bad they gave the guitar amps better features with the ga fc ex. No word on when these features will be available for the 110/210. The airstep kat edition is also not for the bass amps (I asked them). Would make things much.

      @@rolfj953 I didn't know there was such a difference between the amp 😳 Typical guitarist vs bassist prioritizing from a company's end.. Getting sick of it 😄 But ofc, there are more effects and programming with guitarists.. at least for now 😈 Bass players are getting more attention than ever before!

    Do you preload a live set for every show and how do you navigate through the list for different tones/patches?

    • @AndreasOxholm
      @AndreasOxholm  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn't have to switch between patches very often during the show, and since I don't have the pedalswitcher for the katana bass, I just leaned back and tapped the patch I wanted ☺️ for the start of every show I would just switch back and forth some of the patches to make sure the saved patch is un-edited 😃 just in case someone or something had adjusted it.

    • @davidfrey7301
      @davidfrey7301 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I play 5 string fretless and fretted 6 string as well so there are significant differences in the patches I use, especially since the fretless is passive. I’m looking for the most sensible way to navigate through a live set or between sets. I’m gonna check over on the guitar forums since those guys are far ahead of the bassist’s with these apps and amps. Thanks

    • @AndreasOxholm
      @AndreasOxholm  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@davidfrey7301 what type of 5 string passive fretless do you have? 😃

    • @davidfrey7301
      @davidfrey7301 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Andreas, I was looking for something inexpensive as I didn’t really know if I’d like going fretless. I found one listed as a Tario which I’d never heard of. Doing some research I found that there are factories making these, sometimes under different brand names on the exact same models. One came up in past few days with a different shaped headstock but everything else is identical. The person said it was a Traben. It’s a copy of an Ibanez for sure. It plays really, really well and made well. I’ll be upgrading the pickups, bridge and maybe the tuners but it really is fairly decent as is and only $200.

      @davidfrey7301 Interesting! Sounds like you've got a great deal considering you always pay a lot for the brand name 😃 thanks for sharing!

    It's a great option for DI and IEM. The 110 will not hang with a loud drummer by itself.

    • @AndreasOxholm
      @AndreasOxholm  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you are right ☺️ Although I would like to add that the amp will be loud enough, but it will compromise the tone and sound 😄 I remember I've had to remove the cover once because of the loud vibrations 😅 but it was loud enough.. Pour speaker 😂
