Cheers for this video and the information, just done my Aorus 3070 today with the 1.5mm TP-3 pads all round and the MX4 for core, then I undervolted the card to 850mv and have the clock set at 1845mhz, the card sits between 58-65 degrees now in BF2042 and maxed out GTAV at 1440p 75hz.
1.5mm on everything. This is a revision 1.0 model. I tried 2.5mm then 2.0mm then 1.5mm then even 1.0mm 1.5mm was the best. Artic TP3 pads very squshie. Best of luck.
I am not sure. Can vary depending on card version as well. If it's a Rev1 or Rev2 Best to do is buy a few different types thickness pads. Then measure existing pads on the card with a digital measurement caliper when you disassemble.
Hey I have the 3070ti Aorus, the pads it comes with for VRAM are 1.9mm, i used 2mm pads (thermalright). 1.5mm will be too small (paste squeeze out) GIGABYTE told me the 1.9mm pad size themselves.
This revision had heat issues. And after a decade of use.. yes a Graphics card will greatly benefit from new pads and paste. I had a 1080ti just in and went from 85c, crashing, blue screen. to 65c working good as new. Thanks for watching.

Immediate temp increase will happen no matter what. There's nothing wrong or concerning about that. You won't have fixed anything here, I promise.
