      The Limeware thing... it'll get you more cash if you take all that stuff you steal to Balmora, travel to Caldera through the Mages, and then sell it to Creeper. He buys Utensils and Crockery ;).

    • @spdifferential2064
      @spdifferential2064 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Also Creeper buys potions. Full price. So you can min-max this a litter further just by spending a few gold (10-12) on jumping to Caldera and back.

      I use it to pump my stamina to ridiculous amounts, because for me personally, the way fatigue and chance to hit works in this game, stopped being fun after my first couple playthroughs.

    Crab Meat and Hound Meat make for a heavy potion just for fatigue restoration. I recommend using Scuttle, Marshmarrow, and Saltrice for a health and fatigue potion that are super light.

    When stealing the limeware platter in the start,
    you can just open your inv, then pick up and drop without actually placing it in your inv for the same effect but more effective.
    Cause you can also do that for everything else on the shelf while your inv is open. I never see people do that method. Helps a lot for the bookshelf too and is just much faster.

      Can also do it in the second building where you get the package for Caius Cosades.
      He's got a potion worth 100 face value, the silver plates are 20 each IIRC. And there's a key for the warehouse opposite the excise office which you can steal some armor or weapons from, drugs, and I think 1 of the boxes is hardcoded for 250 iron arrows.

    Saltrice and Heather and scuttle are three cheap and easily acquired ingredients that both give you fatigue regen but also slightly boosting your speed by making your gear weigh less by the feather effect. I call it Travelers Brew, and imagine it as a sort of saltrice beer that makes those who drink it able to travel for longer and faster.

    Crazy powered Fortify Willpower potions let's you cast any spell in the game. Let's you summon, soultrap and kill golden saints. The juiced up Fortify Intelligence potions lets you enchant anything with no chance of failure. Azura's Star might be needed as well.

    Love Morrowind and really enjoying your content. Here's how I beat the game in around an hour at level 1 using Alchemy.
    Step 1: Gather 4 different mushrooms just outside Seyda Neen.
    Step 2: Travel to Balmora
    Step 3: Join the Mages Guild
    Step 4: Do the first mages guild quest in Balmora (give mushrooms to a Khajit)
    Step 5: Accept second mages guild quest (allows you to steal soul gems worth nearly 100k gold)
    Step 6: Teleport to Caldera mages guild, go upstairs and steal unguarded Master Alchemy equipment
    Step 7: Go outside to Ghorak Manor, go upstairs and sell 5000g of soul gems to Creeper
    Step 8: Teleport to Sadrith Mora mages guild, go upstairs to Imperial Cult Shrine
    Step 9: Buy 10 Ash Yam, 5 Bloat and 5 Netch Leather from Aunius Autrus. He restocks these as soon as you leave his inventory so keep doing this over and over and over again.
    Step 10: Use 1 Ash Yam and 1 of the other ingredients to make a “Fortify Intelligence” potion. Drink. Repeat. Keep doing this: each time you make a new potion, your increased intelligence will make the next one more powerful.
    Step 11: When bored, stop doing this. I had about half a million intelligence from potions that wouldn’t wear off for hundreds of hours).
    Step 12: Use the mages guild teleporter to buy ingredients to Fortify Health and Luck. Having a massive Luck boost means you will never miss in combat, health means you won’t die. You can fortify Personality too (sell items worth 1g for all of seller’s gold or buy items worth 10,000g+ for 1g), Agility and Willpower too if you want (but not Strength or Speed: massive strength means you will break your own weapons every time you hit, massive speed makes it very hard to navigate the game).
    Step 13: Learn a Levitation Spell. Optional: create spells that increase your speed/strength to make things go a bit quicker.
    Step 14: Teleport to Ald’ruhn and levitate over the fence to the 2 bases with Keening and Sunder. Fight/run through and grab kill the bosses holding these weapons.
    Step 15: Levitate to Dagoth Ur and fight/run through to the end.
    Step 16: Hit the heart with Sunder then Keening. Normally you would take massive damage for trying to wield these without the bracer Wraithguard from the main quest but at this point you have millions of HP.
    Step 17: Kill Dagoth Ur.
    Steps 1, 4, 5 and 7 are optional: together they take about 5 minutes and give you thousands of gold but you don’t really need it if you sell a couple of the potions you make during step 10.

    • @miftosaurus
      @miftosaurus ปีที่แล้ว +1

      (but not Strength or Speed: massive strength means you will break your own weapons every time you hit, massive speed makes it very hard to navigate the game) : learned this in hard way... i was overencumbered because too much ingredients, i had just ingredients for a fortify strenght potion, nothing for feather potion, nor learned yet a feather spell!...
      now... i use throwing stars/knives/stuff instead of normal weapons, even i have a magicka pool of... 300k, i think. but i have a nice rate of fails!!!... :))))))))))))))))))))
      also do NOT craft and sip a potion of levitate!!! :D
      it will expire after... uhm... some 70k-100k seconds, game time, so... no sleep! :D

  • @ThommyofThenn

    I have been making lots of fatigue and magicka potions. Havent started looking up game breakers yet so i might not watch all of this. But it's fun cause my character is an "ash witch" who is more into mysticism but I like to imagine she learned to grind up herbs as part of her upbringing. I haven't finished the game yet so idk if that makes sense in the setting but it's immersive for me so far. I have a master tier mortar and I believe a journeymans alembic or whatever the not too heavy one is. Then I have my big 25kg retort that i store in Seyda Neen cottage. Whenever I stop by to visit Arille or just soak in the atmosphere, I bust that bad boy out and enjoy comparing the potion results using all three to the results from the potions I make while on the road with my lighter alchemy kit. Just writing this took me right back into the world of Vvardenfell so i apologise for being a bit long winded! 😊

    fortify fatigue is also surprisingly powerful and easy to abuse with alchemy. chug a few fort fatigue pots and just try doing Stuff. It affects most things you do, sometimes in surprising ways. I once used a few fortify fatigue potions in combination with icarian fight and attempted to jump from seydda neen to solstheim. my jump went about 100 times too far, without exaggeration. also with ~1000/200 fatigue i could haggle any item down to 1 septim. i dont know how fatigue figures into the jumping and bartering formulas, and I dont think anybody at Bethesda does either.

    I haven't touched this game in over 5 years and your video series just has reawakened my need to play it again. I've lost all of my old savegames where I have completely broken the game and murdered entire towns just on a whim but it is wonderful that someone has taken the time to make such a detailed video about some of the basics that even old players still don't fully understand and have explained even clearer than the wiki itself in some areas. Cheers mate!
    I think the worst part about this game is that playing vanilla is so easily broken, much less if you decide to include mods and modpacks. XD

    Very nice video and it's always awesome to see content creators make videos about Morrowind to this day.
    Just one small correction (other than the Saltrice one you already showed in the video itself):
    As you pointed out in writing: Nalcarya does not restock Saltrice, only Llarara at the bottom of the temple does, if you want to stay in Balmorra.
    However Nalcarya also does not restock Marshmerrow. Only Dralval in the temple does, as far as Balmorra is concerned.
    So basically:
    Comberry, Crab Meat, Hound Meat -> Ajira (Mage Guild)
    Frost Salt -> Nalcarya (Alchemist Shop)
    Saltrice -> Llarara (Temple)
    Marshmerrow -> Dralval (Temple)

    Also of (final?) note.. at least in that OpenMW interface for Alchemy, in the lower left corner you can select how many potions you wish to create (naturally, limited by ingredients but you can select a number above what is possible and it will stop when you run out of material) and after select the quantity you wish to create and click CREATE.. potions will be created. What is interesting about this option is that should your Alchemy skill increase mid creation process.. on say, potion # 5 of a total batch of 15. The remaining potions will be crafted according to the new Alchemy level and show up in their own stack according to their potency.

    a few things to note:
    be careful with potions once your intelligence gets too high!
    fortify intelligence, willpower, luck and endurance are fair game, you can boost these as much as you like with no ill effects.
    fortify speed, fortify strength and levitate break the game when your potions are too strong.
    speed and levitate make you move way too fast whenever you press a direction button.
    Strength does a variety of things that are extremely counterproductive, all your weapons will break in one hit, but more crucially your jump height is effected so if you make the mistake of jumping outside, you'll never come back down again.

    For those interested, a full grandmaster set is also in Master Neloth's tower in Sadrith Mora if you have a 100 open spell and any form of levitation, and the telvanni seem to not get mad at you for stealing due to their "Might is Right" law over how they run things.

    "of course were trying to max that out as much as possible" If your trying to minmax you should be doing the complete opposite. You want your major/minor skills as low as possible for maximum level and stat gains. Also you dont need to specialize in alchemy at all to get full benefits from it. Just stockpile, grind it up and use a daisy chain craft loop to make absolute broken potions.

    If you want a non-steal set of Grandmaster alchemy equipment the vendor in the bottom floor of the tower in Tel Mora has a full set for sale. A bit pricey, but if you're levelling up your alchemy skill by making potions it won't take long to earn enough. Nalcarya in Balmora also has a Grandmaster mortar and pestle.
    The vendor in Temple in Balmora also restocks Marshmarrow and Saltrice for healing potions (that combo will yield potions that only weigh 0.1).
    If the Intelligence potion loop seems a bit extreme but you'd still like a little boost a Fortify Intelligence 100 points and Fortify Luck 100 points Spell can be cast at fairly low Restoration skill and only costs 30 mana points.

    Another side note, for all those aware of the Creeper (and Mudcrab Merchant) if you are willing to wait and hop over to Caldera from Balmora.. while he doesn't take everything, those things he does take (weapons, armors, potions, and most misc items like the Limewear Platter) are bought from the Player by default at FULL price. No haggling needed. So while the Fargoth Ring option is useful.. and some purchases are useful in the starter town.. a quick Silt Strider and Mage's Guild transport will get you max value for whatever nick-nacks you have. Note this excludes books, ingredients, clothing and for some reason, candles and other light sources as well.

    I learned from another users video that if you open your inventory you may then grab anything within range and drop it to the floor or place it on any surface in range, and do this with EVERY item in reach.. so it won't go into your inventory and you can grab as much as you like before releasing the inventory popup and resuming time's effects.
    Note: time in the game world essentially freezes when the inventory or any menu is open. World Actors are aware of you, but they cannot move and various status effect timers are paused.
    This means you could grab all of the items on the shelf next to the platter and drop them or place them back where they were. Same with the books on the shelf by the back door.

    • @Audienc4u
      @Audienc4u 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also keep in mind you can select 'through' the world map window and it is possible to 'hide' any window (or its HUD icon) by either clicking on the menu 'square' in the upper right of each window, to hide the icon, or click the icon to hide the window.
      I believe this is all available in Vanilla editions, I have been playing in OpenMW for a while now with a few basic mods so I don't recall if this is truly how the original works.

    Oh, I didn't know that several of the same Fortify Intelligence potions stack! I was under impression that it was "brew 1, say for 25 pts boost, drink, brew another 1, for 26 pts boost, drink and so on, each time the new effect *replacing* the old one." So I thought it was only viable if you start with high stats already, otherwise it would require an insane amount of ingredients.

    I usually go into the temple at Balmora where wickwheat and marshmerrow restock, then buy and sell back both until they both restock in stacks of 50.

    Wealth beyond measure, Outlander:
    Balmora, the chick that sells Bread in the 8 Plates restocks, saltrice, hound meats, kwama Eggs, crab meats for restore fatigue. DO NOT USE THE ALEMBIC- diminished bad effects lowers the value! Ash Yams + Bloats + Netch Leathers for Mentat Fortify Intelligence from the vendors and the guy in the Razor Hole. Just remember to go out of your Meth Lab to level other skills so you arent level 20 with only Alchemy/Enchant skills. Boost Intelligence to 200 and enchant simple items to buff INT 100 for 3 seconds - this can be done with Enchant at low levels(15). Balmora is the Cartel Capital.
    Restoration isnt valid in Morrowind: RESTORATION IS OP!!!
    Buff Personality 30+ points for 2 seconds to get those good prices. Healer Class is a bit OP if you dont wanna Custom Class. High Elf becomes irrelevant. Be an OP Dunmer like Dagoth Ur wants, Sweet Nerevar.
    Cant afford training? Drain Skill on Self 2 seconds. Master the basics, Son.
    Weapon: Blunt because cheap and powerful Two Hand Steel Hammer 32 damage and can be found very early, has lots of item HP so who cares about repairs, even One Hand Clubs are decent - they are the daggers of bladeless weapons, dont charge just swing. Knockdown is OP. Guzzle Strength potions...or Sujamma, like an addict.
    Cant remember, but if you are tweeked out with OP effects you want turned off: Dispel 100% potion on self...i think.

    Never ever steal ingredients It will always screw you over You'll forget about it eventually and accidentally off loaded and to get caught It doesn't matter if you stole 1 or 100 Every single last one of that item will be confiscated

    Eating gives less gain than crafting, but crafting takes 2+ ingredients. If you compare eating two ingredients to making one potion, you get 1/2 worth in gains.
    Eating for gains is really not that bad, specially if you don't have enough ingredients to make a potion out of. Specially at low alchemy levels where the potions you make won't sell for much.

    Dont forget to loot chests in mages guild and fighters guild after you join. You can use this pots and sell anything you make for maximum financial gains. Also just take the mage teleport over to caldera and sell to the scamp vendor there for 100% value. He's got 5k gold too

      Lol, I'm just getting into this game, it's the only modern Beth game I haven't played. And I already have had to load it with mods, mostly balance changes, just like all Beth games it's unplayable vanilla. Unlimited cheese and exploits are just not fun to me, I guess a lot of MW fans see it definitely but I'm sure nostalgia has a lot to do with that. A lot of people say to at least play vanilla first. Yeah no lol, I know the drill with Beth games, no way I'm playing this broken mess vanilla where I have to actively work to not break the game. I already installed a mod to disable creeper and mudcrab and change that master alchemy set to journeyman.

    I leave Alchemy in the misc. skills. You can make potions by the hundreds by using the buy/sell exploit. It takes a while but once you get past 100 per cent fail you can make some Fortify Intelligence potions. At that point you are on your way. Make sure, however, to never ever ever make Fortify Personality potions. It will break the game.

  • @Hazamelis2

    Looking at videos now I think it's aniInteresting ability, I didn't even knew about it in my first playthrough. I loved being able to practically fly with the shrine to stop the moon power and I have been looking for a way to replicate that effect, a spell has zero chance to work out, but I think I could make a potion this way, maybe not for the whole 50 minutes, but 5 levitating would be nice.
    I don't want to break the game though, and the line of when I start to break it can get a bit blurry in those cases. Time to experiment!

    Hi im a new suscriber. Just for curiosity, even in a vanilla gameplay, isn't it better to install the run faster mod? I mean why not. Is there a reason to not use it?
    That is my question, great video and channel, is really awsome to see people playing and giving info about this game, thank you.

    • @CoffeeNutGaming
      @CoffeeNutGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm team "if it makes you enjoy the game more, do it!"
      So if running faster helps you enjoy the game more, go run faster! The only thing I'd be cautious of is if it does not increase enemy movement speed, it could make it too easy to kite and just hit and run people. I can't remember if the mod does that or not tho but that'd be my only worry.

    • @spatrk6634
      @spatrk6634 ปีที่แล้ว

      because if they had more money you would break the game relatively soon.
      most efficient thing you can do is to find a skill trainer that is also a trader. like the dude in balmora fighters guild. he already has 2000 gold i think by default. and you can use skill training bunch of times to boost his gold
      and then sell items to get that gold back.
      also merchants golds resets every 24 or 25 hours.
      so if you just wait 24 hours their gold will reset
