Takes me back to playing X-Men Children of the Atom and Marvel Super Heroes at the local arcade on an almost daily basis. I remember the first time I played X-Men vs Street Fighter and the first time I beat it. Great times. Nothing beats those arcade experiences.
When I was a kid, my family and I would go to a mall that had a huge arcade inside. The arcade had MvC2. Did I play it? No and I don't know why. Ha! But I would keep looking at the older players playing the game and see the characters fight each other. Then some time later, at a yard sale, I got the PS2 version of MvC2 and played it for hours. Couldn't beat Abyss but I still had a blast playing MvC2. Times of being a kid. And I love the jazz soundtrack.
It's good to have these Marvel titles back!! I loved titles like Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel Superheroes, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 💯💯💯💯
Marvel, you wanna make 5 Billion dollars....make a "Marvel Vs. Capcom" film and weave the fallout into Secret Wars.😊 Or make the Marvel Vs. Capcom reality a territory on Battleworld. Us 40+ guys grew up on these games, we'll bring our whole families out multiple times to watch!
That will depend on whether or not Capcom will allow it, as I did hear Legendary Pictures is making a new Street Fighter movie to be released in 2026, with Sony Pictures, who has the rights to make movies based on Spider-Man and his many villains, being the company to distribute it.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 should've also been included in this collection. It would all those who have the Nintendo Switch, which doesn't have UMvC3 in the game's library I might add, the chance to play it on the go.
Wayyy before the MCU did an amazing job and introduced Thanos to the mainstream… Gamers had a taste of Thanos in the Capcom fighting games. As a bonus we experienced a slight multiverse through the cartoons (X men appearing in Spider man etc… with same voice actors). And what a treat it was to hear those very same voices in our FIGHTING GAME. Marvel vs Capcom would go on to even bring ONSLAUGHT into play… an iconic event for Wolverine fans. This series was ICONIC of the arcade era. It (MVC2) was the reason I wanted a SEGA Dreamcast 🌀. It was an exclusive at the time of its release 😂.
I'm so glad these 🔥 game's have returned in a collection and then CVS2 comes out next in a collection as well 😮💨🔥👌🏾 and gt character's have been revealed in sparking zero today!!!
