    Toyota dealers are struggling to sell the current generation Tundra... And I can't blame em, the MSRPs on these new Tundras are astronomical. In this video I showcase a dealership in Nebraska that has 37 unsold Toyota Tundras just chillin on their lots. Between the extremely high price tags and terrible interest rates, Toyota dealers are being forced to slash prices on these 2023 and 2024 Tundras. Lots of carryover Tundras from 2023 still sitting here. I love Toyota and it pains me to see this. People just can't afford these new Tundras, they've priced the middle-man out the market. Nobody wants to spend $70-80K for their truck today days. We want 40-50K full-size pickups... You know, like a few years ago??? smh.
    Let me know your thoughts on new Toyota Tundra pricing. Are they appropriately priced in your opinion? Do you get what you pay for in this case?
    Are your local Toyota dealerships looking like this too? There's a lot to love with this 2024 Toyota Tundra, but there's a lot to not love too. Is $4000 Off enough to move the needle? Thanks for watching as always.
    Please consider Liking and Subscribing if you found any value in this video. I sincerely appreciate the support, thank you!

    I sold cars for a year. 99 percent of buyers are known as "payment buyers" in other words, people buy based more on what their payments are vs. interest rates, down payment, trade in values all of which do impact the final monthly payment. Three months after buying a car, the average buyer couldn't tell you (without breaking out the contract) what they pay in interest or what they received for their trade in or even what the vehicle stickered for. Ask the same buyer in three years what their payments are and they can answer immediately. With prices increasing far above the rate of inflation over the past three years, plus high rates, buyers can easily see a payment they just won't pay for and hence why cars are sitting on the lots.

My brother owned a 4runner for 3 months and then sold it back to the dealer for 6K more than he paid. The dollar didn't lose that much value in 3 months. It’s no secret why. Toyota’s new direction has being turbo charging or hybrid on everything along with making it more expensive. As customers we understand some things have to change but to push it 100% with much higher prices is not a good path.

    • @RedWingsninetyone
      @RedWingsninetyone 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What do you propose they do different aside from the obvious about prices? Hybrids are what Toyota does and does very well. They can't keep the V8 because of MPG and emissions requirements getting more and more strict. But they also can't step backwards in performance. Same goes for the Tacoma. They're far from the only ones going the route of turbos and not even close to the first.

      @@twinnevans971 you sound a bit paranoid. The V8 will never be illegal to repair and there will always be someone making replacement parts so long as there is a market for it. But saying towing is dead with a turbo 6 is just asinine. Ford is best in class with towing with the 3.5L EcoBoost and has been since 2015. Toyota wouldn't have gone this direction if they didn't think there was something to it. And they're not going to sacrifice their reputation on something they think is a gimmick.

      @RedWingsninetyone 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@twinnevans971 there's a reason turbo diesels are kings of torque and not just regular diesels. Having actually driven both, I can tell you the turbo-6 is better off the line. The main advantage the V8 has is less complexity.
      As for your EU example, you're absolutely right that it is NOT here. On top of that it is a proposal and not a new law as of now. Many, many things get noise as a proposal and never become law. Time will tell on that one but it sounds pretty controversial.

RAM was starting to give manufacturer discounts and in fact Toyota had a $750 discount. All the new trucks are $$$. I'm still counting on Toyota's great reliability. And I believe only the top trim levels include cool features like the birds eye camera for parking. I was given a limited trim as a loaner car from a dealership, and was disappointed when it didn’t have some of those cool features like the birds eye camera.

    What is the brand of your bed cap and did it come standard matching your truck color?

    • @UntamedMotors
      @UntamedMotors  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It’s an ARE bed cap. If you look in the video description, I have a discount link for Real Truck. Real Truck owns ARE, you can poke through their caps on their page and get a solid deal with the link.

    This is actually one of the GOOD dealers. No mark up and easy to deal with. Bought a few from them in the past. Yes, new vehicles are expensive but everything is expensive these days. When UAW got big raises for their new contract we know the prices will go even higher.

    • @truthseeker7853
      @truthseeker7853 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're not looking at it clearly, the dealership actually added a tons of mark up. Like the 55k, it is actually just 48k! They added a bunch of bs "optional" those were the mark up!

    0:00 non 4 wheel drive, also known as two wheel drive. unfortunately in this place I live you would not buy or resell a 2wd pickup too easily. dealers don't even stock them.

    Got tired of dealing with toyota dealers, tried to buy a Capstone...closest I got was within $1000 of buyng one- now working on a Ram 2500HD with Cummins - a REAL Truck. One toyota dealer in Charlotte-biggest in the state I think...sent me an offer on a capstone- HE SENT ME FULL STICKER WITH JUNK FEES ON TOP. Screw'em...have them blocked on my phone and now straight to junk mail.

      The Ram 2500's are really discounted. There was one in my town last week that was $18k off sticker. Funny thing is I watched a video here where the guy explained that this pricing just puts them back to where the sticker was 3 years ago, and the new trucks have less features.
