I'm looking to concert my V6 from a stock single to a dual output. Just looking to add a little rumble ... not really sure which muffler to pick. Thoughts?
I just got me a 5th gen Laramie and I put a super 10 on it with the resonators still on I want to know how would it sound with the resonators off because with the resonator it sound like it has a pushing sound

I’m getting a super 10 flow master on my 04 f150 and I want a borla round turndown to the one outlet of my flow master and I want the original stock pipe connected to the other outlet of the flow master with a 4 inch outlet tip. Will this work? Thanks.

Your truck sounds friggin awesome. In another comment below you sais you left the resonators on and another guy said he couldn't tell much of a difference with them on or off. My understanding is the resonators have more to do with interior noise (drone). How is the drone in the cab? I love to hear my V8 rumble but I also like to hear my stereo and talk to my wife.
Thank you! and yes you're correct, resonators are there to help eliminate drone and that raspy, rattling sound. That's why I left mine on is because without them the super 10 specifically has a lot of like a rattle tone to it without them. There is a very slight hum with the this set up but I can still here the hum my tires give off too inside drone is not non existent, but it's not bad at all.
I have a 2017 rebel with a 4in lift. I put the outlaw series in it and it sounds great when it's a cold start. I want something that is deeper and more throughty all the time. Any suggestions?
the carven competitor is about as aggressive as mufflers go. Other options would be leaving the outlaw and removing the resonators or going with a y pipe
It'll be a little better once you get that smooshed Y pipe out of there and replace it with a new one (10778), a lot of people never change the Y for who knows why. I run Cherrybomb Extremes on my Ram (single) and Bee (dual)....same single chamber style as the Super10.
i wouldn't say this loud cruising by any means. I think my tires are louder lol But if you want quieter in the cab you'd probably have to go with a super 40 or super 44 something not as aggressive all together
I don’t understand why these muffler shops put the muffler all the way to the back. I had mine put closer to the motor and you can hear more of what the muffler characteristics sound like. Plus it has less drone in the cab when you can change the sound sooner rather than when it gets to the end of the exhaust pipes. It sounds good by the way, so I’m not knocking your set up.

I did not remove the resonators because I've heard rams with the super 10 and resonators removed and it sounds like it has a rattle to it and I didn't like it much but thats just my opinion lol. I'm going to be going a little louder but I will probably remove the super 10 and just put a y pipe there instead.
Yessir! I could be wrong so don't quote me on it, but I've personally never come across or heard any muffler that is louder than just straight pipe. The super 10 has broken in a little so it's louder now than it was in the video, but I want more loud haha
Undray Jones honestly I’m not sure some people say a month and some people say 90 days. I’ve had mine on a little over 3 and a half months. I’ll get some footage and compare the two and see if video wise it’s a noticeable. I can get some cab footage for you though
@@BrandonClark563 what I have learned on my 2014 I got the Eco but when I took it out Eco it sounds a lot better the resonators off the tailpipes give it 10% louderthat's what someone told me but I'm planning on taking mines off
I've heard the super 10 without resonators and it has a lot more of a rattle sound and I personally wasn't a fan. Cant say for other mufflers, but super 10 for sure sounds more clunky
@@BrandonClark563 k. BC I just bought a 18 Ram. But I have the side single exhaust. So I will chop off the primary muffler, stick in a super 10, add the 3inch pipe to where the old huge muffler went (like you did) and that's it. BC at my tailpipe, there is a second muffler just smaller already, I'm guessing that a resonator for the single exhaust system?
@@brianmorrison8704 yes that smaller "muffler" looking pipe right behind the end of the exhaust will be your resonator. you can get rid of it I just preferred it with the resonator, it seemed a lot cleaner and crisp leaving it
Hey bud how bad is it in the cabin? I have wife and kids and drive the truck alot can you still have a conversation in there etc or is it obnoxiously loud ? Also want to make sure neighborhood dont hate me too much
You may notice a little different tone with it. Most people say it "wakes up" the vehicle. I know I noticed a little more throttle response on my previous vehicle, but nothing super crazy.
I have a 17 ram hemi with stock intake, flow master super 10 & resonators deleted. Very loud start up while idle is high. Neighbors hate me. After warmed up it sounds good/throaty at idle and lower rpms but when You stomp on it it gets very raspy/high pitched though out the higher rpm range. Not deep & throaty like lower rpms. Sounds like sh*t. Getting a super 44 soon. 2 thumbs down on the super 10.
JOE c I agree the cold starts are very nice. I also am not as big a fan now that time has gone on with them. I’ll be swapping out to something different here in the next couple months probably just have decided what yet.
I left the resonators on my 2019 ram and I love the flow 10 other than the drone at 75mph when ECO pops up on the dash. It has a deep sound all the time but that first start in the morning will have you smiling.
Flowmaster mufflers do not "break in"....They remain the same throughout their life span....Mufflers like Magnaflows that have a fiberglass type of internal packing will, over time, change their tone slightly...Flowmasters have steel baffles that remain constant in sound quality....FYI.

it will sound absolutely no different. my hemi Durango sounds EXACTLY the same as the day I had the exhaust done. and I love it that way. I will be doing the exact same thing to my new '19 1500 classic quad cab hemi 4x4.
That'll sound sweet on the truck! Personally I feel even at idle the truck sounds different now. I'm going to wait till it's warmer and do a comparison video to this one so we will see!

James Barnes sorry for the late response but I suggest the flowmaster super 44. Those sound best for a v6.

I've had 4 flowmaster sets between 3 vehicles and I've always noticed a difference after 6 months
Yeah mufflers without any kind of insulating or sound deadening material inside the muffler will not “break in”

Why not just order the direct fit and weld?
Elgin Smith they don’t make a direct fit super 10 and the outlaw is $350. With the muffler and paying the weld shop I paid $120 total
I went with the 18in magnaflow and it sounds awesome.

yep it's normal even on trucks newer than mine. They don't come painted so they rust quickly

I swear they changed the cams in these engines in 2016, they sound so much more lopey at warm idle.
