Just an opinion, but I'm pretty sure Olight have nailed the medium-sized handheld market with the Marauder Mini 2. I've looked high and low for something that can do the same, without success so far. I could be wrong, of course, but it looks like other makers have got some serious catching-up to do in this particular sector.

I'm anxious to compare the Mini to my Marauder 2. They're both tanks, but looks like the Mini will be a little more practical for a vehicle. I have the Freyer in my vehicle too. The wand feature is worth it alone to have in a car
en france j'ai la Freyer et le verre est blindé le système de blocage est performant et sure et on peut bloquer le capteur de présence ce que j'ai pas trouvé sur la mini , j'ai acheté la marauder mini il y a les mêmes mode que le Freyer mais sur la marauder mini le verre est du plastique vraiment dommage , sinon le mode tactique fonction que en mode large le mode rvb lui est bien plus puissant que la Freyer et réglable je garderai toujours ma Freyer grâce a son verre blindé qui est une valeur sure ,mais la mini est bien plus puissante attention au verrouillage sinon risque d'incendie

I ordered the Mini a couple of weeks ago and wondered when they would post it ? the answer was 14 working days (three weeks) factor postage time and public holidays it might not make it by Christmas 😩

I'm currently waiting for this light to be shipped :) I already have the Marauder 2 but I think it's too bulky. Hopefully the Marauder Mini fits better in my jacket pocket! 😁

@3:02 It doesn't look like it needs too much of an angled surface to roll away, you gave it a very light push and it almost rolled over "one step". a solid "nut shape" or even just 5 large flats around would give it more of an antiroll IMO, I think most flashlight designers look too much at the visuals before the function there.

Got bought my been waiting to get one
I have the Marauder II, and the Freyr. If the mini had higher lumens in the RGB (which I realize may not be feasible), it MIGHT have made sense for me to add to the arsenal. Given all that, the Black Friday pricing made it pretty tempting.
I know a few that want way brighter RGB and no idea why. Those are meant for night time and protecting your night vision and red for emergencies. Colors are good for fishing too at night.

How does the spot light compare to the javelot mini?
It’s a larger hotspot, well defined but not as defined as the Javelot Mini I’d say

I haven’t had enough time with this yet. I do like the Nitecore ability to combine spit and flood together, and I like the menu screen. The marauder mini has RGB leds and that super convenient toggle switch.
@@ChrispyThings yeah true I know once you said about combining both modes that’s one thing you really liked about the nitecore. I guess both have there pros and cons. There similar yet different lol

The Q8 Pro is hard to beat at half the cost of the Marauder Mini, in my opinion. Buy I may still buy the Marauder Mini. Sofirn and Wurkkos are hard to beat for the money.

It's the toggle from a throw light to a flood light that switch is awesome I'm telling you Olight is cornering the flashlight market this flashlight is going to sell they're going to make millions of dollars on this flashlight it's just that all around great flashlight for camping hiking walking your dog everything lot of power just an awesome flashlight man I can't get over it I still have to buy the orange and the other color the black ones beautiful with the blue it's so nice I love it it's my new girlfriend 💕💕💕👍

The Big Marauder 2 has a better Spotlight. It is a very sharp square with no spill. So you can light a specific area wothout blinding anyone or anything next to it. You have a really sharp "border" from light to no light. Which is perfect. Outstanding for such a lamp.
Great for lighting something next to the road without blinding drivers with your spill and such.
I hate the square I think circle is better.
Square shape is the only reason why I don't own it 👎

Those twist to turn on key chain lights suck. If you want a good key chain light pick up an Astrolux K2 SST20 300LM.
I have tons of non twisting keychain lights. I don’t really have any issues with the twist to operate lights. What don’t you like about them?
They're going to make a fortune on this flashlight because changing that beam to round circle yeah it makes a big difference the big one the original one had the square beam it just looked like it was a cheap flashlight a lot of those cheap flashlights you can pull in and out to make your being more flood and then narrow had that square being to it I hated that being I hate that pattern but O lights going to make a lot of money making a big difference in this flashlight way better than the big one thank you for sharing my friend and enjoy it man it's beautiful I love it that's the only reason why I bought that flashlight because of it beam was changed into a circular pattern which I love that off to Olight now my favorite flashlight company
The Square beam is much better because it is much sharper with much less spill. It is far better for lighting a specific area without blinding anything next to it, like cars, workers and such.
Why does it look cheap? Cheap lights have a square because you see the LED Die. On this one you dont see the die, it is on purpose. And cheap lights by far are not that sharp.
You just need to know the purpose why they did that.
The spot on the mini is far worse with much more spill and far less throw.

@@dom3827 the marauder was never about maximum throw. It was about practicality. The round beam is nice imo, the spill is useful if you actually need a spotlight to look for stuff, which is what most people need. If you want maximum throw and no spill, use a lep, it's gonna destroy even the normal marauder while being smaller.
The mini offers more in a smaller package and it's also priced a lot more reasonable. I think most people will prefer it after having used both in real life, that's what I did.

Thats what the marauder is for, too and what other thrower specific leds are for.
@@dom3827 I've never heard of that. I live in Germany and it's usually pretty strict when it comes to stuff like that and you can buy them no problem. But fair enough, they're super expensive anyway.
My point is, noone that needs a specialised thrower should buy a marauder or even a marauder mini. They're both amazing lights but as I said, they're not made for peak performance but rather practically and for the sake of the concept.
Any dedicated thrower with a osram w1 of similar will give you a nicely focused beam with no spill, there are plenty to choose from that are better throwers than both the marauders and cost a fraction.
I would rather have white light where the other three colors are placed, and also that they implemented the "Moonlight" function! The battery would have been drained much faster if you had been able to have both wide and focused light on at the same time! After all, it is good that you can switch between the two different modes, wide and focused light! Thank you for your review.🤗❤

It is a everyday carry flashlight absolutely the only thing I would like them to do is to put it at least 12,000 lumens and I would love that or even more the more the merrier but 7,000 is very good for starters very very good thank you for this great video really appreciate it 👍👍👍👍

Marauder Mini looks cool, but it seems a bit misleading for it to put 7000 lumens next to 600 meters when it’s the spotlight maxed at 900 lumens throwing 600 meters, not 7000. Little things like that throw me off.
Lumen has nothing to do with distance. When the light is set deep inside with long reflector is where the distance comes from and candela is how the number you want to look for. You can have 500 lumen with 100,000 candela that will reach 1000 or farther. Lumen is total amount of light output. Spot lights have a lot less light output (lumen) as it’s all focused into one spot.
@@jamesfair9751 that’s great, but to someone unfamiliar like myself, the 7000lm next to the 600m suggests it will flood up to 600m. Which sounds awesome, particularly if you’re someone who works in wide open areas at night. I looked at the LEPs and they have very tight hot spots, and the LED flooders have very low range. I like they attempted to combine the two. I just felt a little let down realizing the flood wasn’t 600m. The Warrior X 3 seems to be the better of both worlds. IMO
There's nothing nothing negative about that flashlight nothing whatsoever and I like a strong flashlight and it's hefty yes it is and somebody attacked me I hit him on the side of the head with it believe me they're going to feel it
