The most relatable thing about this machine is that it is clearly overwhelmed with anxiety while being asked to perform a simple task under observation.
He very nice project😀, would love to see a continuation of this project, maybe that placing a cup would also fill it with hot water (water and electronics sounds fun 😄). Anyways keep up the fun videos.
Googly eyes were great, but make it play music while it's grabbing the bag, or give it "interchangeable" heads(above the pincer to make it look like a crab, or alien or... and you have a product you can sell!
Something def not right with that stepper, should be much smoother... but eh, you got that well done where it really doesn't matter how long it takes ... you aren't going to gulp a tea in 5 min lol I def think a tie-in with your mug warmer would be awesome. From bed, trigger a tea, and get to your desk and its perfect and ready.
@@Mellow_labsoh that's why! you probably don't need to do that, you might be able to work out when you start checking (the arm is rotated after x) then based off the value you check and check again when roughly 50% of the steps per revolution per distance has past and repeat until desired distance. in theory 🤯
It takes a while to pick up a teabag and lift it up. Off course you can change the rod, but why not have a teabag ready in the claw and drop it as soon as you place the mug? That way it can take all the time it needs.

😂😂😂
Perhaps it has a shy bladder...
The way you looked lovingly at your creation warmed my heart. Can't wait to see the completed project!
As a fellow Immigrant (Brit in Holland). I appreciate your “we get it done” intro 😂
That lift and swivel mechanism is inspired. 👍☕

this video really should have 100x the views, if this blows up, I was here at the 1.4k mark.
I've been wanting to build one og these for years. But for coffee ☕️ of course 😋
Why not add in a reduction gear set to move the stepper more rapidly? It's not like you need torque, so going at a higher speed would be fine.
I think it's cute watching it do it's thing. Makes me smile! Also gives you a little show to watch while you get the milk and honey sorted.
The googley eyes were a nice touch🤣
Thanks 🤩
I love this so much. The machine has personality 😂
Thanks for your always great and fun to watch videos!
Glad you like them! 🙏🙏
This is gonna be a good series.
Love it in its full beauty 😊👍🏻

I'll think about the music. but this is definitely not becoming a product
Absolutely Love the immigrants song reference!
“Beauty is subjective” got me dying
Love it ❤️
Haha, that was fun

It’s smooth on the way up, but jumpy on the way down because it’s constantly checking the distance to teabag.

I think you missed the part of the video where that’s exactly what I did
The "3D printer [you] took apart on a live stream" strikes again 👍
*looks at Ollie, Colin and James* Who is this kid? What's he gonna do? :D
I’m not throwing away my shot! 😂
7:03 SHAKEY BOY!
you are inspiring!
Wow, thank you! 🤩
It's subjectively hot
Do you worry about your tea being exposed to the air - will it pick up odd flavors or get stale ?
No, because the original box that comes in is not airtight. It’s always exposed to air
Sounds like a nice proof of concept but there are still long miles to go to make it anywhere nearly useful
Will it be ready for maker central?
Sadly, unlikely
are those tea pads the tea version of senseo?
I think the tea bags came first
