I played all the 2D ones in preparation for Metroid Dread. I must admit this was my favorite. Even though I understand Super Metroid is a very influential game, I think Zero Mission is just perfect.
@@AlexanderTowers-j1o another great opinion. I am not allowed an opinion because I've never played ANY metroid game, but I still like all the ones I've seen.
Hello good afternoon to all.. And finally after 3 days to finish watching it for lack of time with work, here I am finishing watching the video..thanks xRavenXP, good Gameplay..blessings to all in the channel, greetings from Lima - Peru!.... Y al fin después de 3 días en terminar de verlo por falta de tiempo con el trabajo, he aquí terminando de ver el vídeo..gracias xRaven, buen Gameplay..bendiciones a todos en el canal, saludos desde Lima - Perú!!..
@@emptyspace2240not really, you can find pb blocks all over the areas in Dread intergrated very seemlessly compared to in zm, Zm's powerbomb puzzles feel very last minute and lazy tbh, atleast compared to dread's.
Fusion is better in that regard, but is kind of ridiculous giving you a maximum of like 74 Power Bombs! I think they could have replaced some of the Power Bomb pickups in Fusion with the partial Energy Tanks that Dread had - getting 1/4 of an E Tank always feels better than getting 2 more Power Bombs once you already have 30+ PB's, and it means that the massive amount of Energy you end up with in Fusion could have been spaced out a little more to add some difficulty. Also regarding Fusion, I wasn't a fan of the Diffusion Missiles, Dread's Storm Missiles were a cooler final upgrade imo if you're going to make Super Missiles just an upgrade to regular Missiles. But yeah, my only letdown in Dread is how late Power Bombs are acquired and how they're only really used to get *more* Power Bombs which, although admittedly useful on the final boss (thankfully they gave them *some* purpose), were otherwise only used to nuke a room full of enemies that, by such a late stage, pose little threat anyways with the exception of maybe those few big Robot Mechs.
To be 100% honest, Power Bombs have always felt like the least impactful part of Metroid games. My hot take is they should replace them with *something* cooler when they finally put out the next 2D Metroid. disclaimer: idk if Power Bombs have more utility in the Prime games, I haven't played them yet, although I'm probably going to start Prime Remastered this month.
Hard to tell, but Zero Mission is actually a remake of the first Metroid but there are some differences. For one, the Justin Bailey code doesn’t exist and in fact Samus losing her suit is part of the game’s plot. After leaving Planet Zebes, Samus loses her suit and has to infiltrate the Space Pirates’ hideout without it. This level can be frustrating since you can stun enemies but you can’t defeat them until you get the suit back
My first Metroid game. Though my first playthrough experience wasn't the most enjoyable one to be honest cause I literally had no idea how to go to a specific point unlike fusion. Still finished it though so can't argue with that 😅. On another note do you plan to play terranigma or brain lord on the SNES ? Cause that would awesome. Still you decide you want to do.
I already have the Soul Blazer almost ready, so I should launch it. The Illusion of Gaia will start next. Terranigma I recorded for World of Longplays, but I need to record a more complete video of this game.

At around the hour and 11 minute mark, you do a shine spark to get through the door. How are you doing this? I can get through the door with shine spark but can't get through the second to access the secret area. Please help. I'm playing on Nintendo Switch. I have completed the game but playing again to access more items. Thankyou.
I love Metroid, but I wish they would change up the format a little. The trope of Samus starting every mission with shitty weapons and no abilities, and the ending having something to do with a self-destruct escape situation has been done to death. They can change some things up and still keep the challenging aspects of the game play. It's just feeling a bit cheap after all these decades of the same formula.
I'm sure you've been downvoted to hell for saying that (not that TH-cam shows those anymore but I can tell because the downvoted comments get pushed to the bottom), but I totally respect that sentiment and have to agree with you upon reflection. I'm glad someone said it, and hopefully Nintendo will make the next Metroid slightly different. The only caveat is that it's difficult lore wise to explain why you need to get new power ups every game (which, let's be honest, is a huge part of the appeal), when Samus is already such a powerhouse at the end of the previous game. Still, I'm sure they could come up with something more original next go around. The self-destruct sequences in the finales have worn out their welcome though.
I never stopped to count, but I play a lot of games. Sometimes I play a short game to launch a quick video and other times I spend days or weeks on a longer and more complex game.

Thx for all the videos, it brings back some memories of good old days, just like a song, a movie, a photo. Good jobs, Keep it up🎉
Thank you very much.
@@MyChannel-e6vMaybe Samus might upgrade her emergency pistol to where it can inflict damage and stun enemies simultaneously.
I was playing this a few days ago myself on Wii U, such a good game

The only misstep in this game is how Power Bombs are literally tacked on at the very end of the game.
you can say the same thing about dread

@@Akabalthy but still, power bombs feel pretty out of place in dread cause you only use them like twice ever if you're not doing 100%. same with zm fr
