Boris were actually first between the two for the whole Drone Metal thing. sunn o))) started in ‘98 while Absolutego was released in ‘96, and Amplifier Worship was released in ‘98.

My first show was that tour. Saw them in a tiny venue in Denton Texas. At the time I didn't think I would see them like 3 feet in front of me. Then saw them the next day in the Austin Psych fest. Then saw them 4 more times. Last time I saw them I drove from Corpus Christi TX to Portland Oregon just to catch their 25th anniversary tour. They played Feedbacker, and that day was the 3rd time I got to see them perform* Flood.
