Words cannot explain the feeling wata expresses witty her guitar, the change in volume is dynamics every musician in the world does it, otherwise the music would sound flat.. Boris just uses more frequencies and goes louder than most but I think that's where there admirable sound comes from..
Saw Boris a couple of weeks ago. They didn’t play this but I’m not disappointed, it was memorable, even quite legendary to see this ancient band. That song though, cuts deep. years after years
I recommend you find the album of this. The other side has Ai Aso covering a king crimson song and the record comes with a book of a photo shoot of both musicians.
Some people don't understand how music works, and think you must be fast to be good. These bends are well calculated, the tone puts it out there, and the sustained notes pull a slower emotion, which is the goal.
This was a real treat when it originally came out, no need to wonder if Wata knows how play that guitar before and this just compounds it. She has a really nice voice, would be cool to have at least an EP of her doing this kind of material.
@pancakerepairman They do give a lot of credit to their Orange amps. It's really a cult to orange wall's :D and a LP Custom of course. I assure you credit has been given where credit was due, but this beautiful sound is more then mere guitars or amps.

Well, let's be realistic here. Wata is a decent guitarist, but is by no means astounding like some make her out to be. Basically, if you're a good looking chick, whatever talent you have gets magnified about 10 times in the eyes (or ears) of fanboys. If she was in the same band, playing the exact same guitar riffs and solos- but she happened to be a guy (or even a 300 lb ugly female) she would not get all the attention as some kind awesome guitarist. Fact.
1.) she looks normal. 2.)A bao a qu single, (dvd version) the beginning solo. 3.)Rainbow in gensho. It does not matter whether she's astounding or not. That kind of playing is nowhere to be seen on the entire earth. That is astounding. You are being more sexist than the people you are trying to criticize. She's a great guitarist.

Yes. Currently, my guitar's in drop-A (A-E-A-D-G-B). My strings were just old and it snapped back then. I'm all set-up now. haha.
