    Best-selling author and world-renowned researcher and psychologist Dr. Eli Lebowitz introduces a different way of thinking about child anxiety, providing a simple recipe for navigating the tricky situations parents encounter with their anxious children, and introducing "SPACE," a new and rapidly growing evidence-based treatment approach. Dr. Lebowitz studies and treats childhood and adolescent anxiety at the Yale Child Study Center. His research focuses on the development, neurobiology, and treatment of anxiety and related disorders, with special emphasis on family dynamics and the role of parents in these problems. Dr. Lebowitz is the lead investigator on multiple funded research projects, and is the author of research papers, books and chapters on childhood and adolescent anxiety including the bestselling ‘Breaking Free of Child Anxiety and OCD’.     Does this treatment work for parents of children alone? What if you are a parent of a 16 year old

    I don't understand in what way this is new and I'm very confused. It has been standard in anxiety treatment since at least the early 90s.
    By the way, this alone is not necessarily a cure, as there are also many other complex aspects to childhood anxiety and OCD. If anxiety is an issue for your child, access medical assistance because you need a proper assessment of what is happening. This explanation is much oversimplified.
    Sometimes TED talks are bizarre.
