Great video, one thing that's helped me is changing R1 to rear brake and "O" for down shift, the rear brake is way more noticeable in this game then past years in my opinion. Also L1 for ride height device is so helpful.

for me engine braking really does help me alot in certain tracks like portimao, red bull ring, rarely do i need to slam on the brakes, probably just 80%, but with the right settings of ebs and engine braking u got the sweet recipe for braking, although by using this technique, u will be on edge bcs u feel like ure not stopping but eventually u will haha, cheers Dr Ace!

Mate, this video has been incredibly helpful! As someone who's fairly decent at simracing games (AC & iRacing) and rides an S1000rr in real life, it's always frustrated the hell out of me that I've never been able to get the hang of these games. I've downloaded the MotoGP game every year for the past 3 years and always given up a few days. My expectation has never been for super realistic physics but at least reasonable and reliable handling like with the F1 titles to enjoy the game.
I've never been able to find that consistency on the brakes but after watching this video and giving it another go something has clicked for me! I think also steering the bike by mentally focusing on the front end has helped a lot too. It's become a lot easier to manage the bike's lean angle with throttle and brake input as well.
Thanks for helping me finally be able to enjoy these titles without losing my head after missing every apex!

the brake heating time bars are counter-intuitive, more dashes mean faster heating time and more blue bars means faster cooling time, larger brakes are good for downhill braking zones after top speed straights like Red Bull Ring, smaller brakes are good for sweeping circuits with few hard braking zones after long straights

Thank you for the tips! It definitely helps. In MotoGP21 I was very good at recovering time by being late and a bit aggressive on the breaks, but I just got MotoGP22 and it's absolutely impossible to do what I used to. The bike just won't turn and I'm out of the track in almost every strong brake zone. I disenabled every brake assistance and now it's a bit easier to turn, but I'm still struggling a bit.

I think the 2nd biggest issue for driver from 4-wheel cars is to understand how to create an ideal line with a motorcycle. Thank you DrAce for this tip video. I have bought this game but haven't played motogp21 or 20,. I really cant remember when my last motogp game i have played, so these tip videos are really helpful. I been watching tip videos for motogp21 since there isnt much out there yet for 22. Since i been watching videos for 21 when it comes to certain tips i don't know if its still relevant for 22. Another thing i have been trying to figure out is if i have to use the clutch with downshifting or in general since i know motogp bikes can be different than your average street bike, so when you get to a video that contains that information can you please mention when you do have to use the clutch. I tried looking online for answers and got a mix of different results so i haven't got a clear answer. I look forward to your future videos and i want to learn as much as possible when it comes to this game. I like how you get straight to the point and you are very clear and easy to understand. I have subbed to your channel because of those reasons. Keep up the good work, hope all is well and take care.

Braking is definitely tricky in this version, slowly getting the hang of it though. I eventually worked my way up to 120% AI on Ride 4, but I'm at around 60-70% on here, surprising how much taking a year off from motorcycle games has affected my riding, almost no consistency.

    • @eofsentinel

@@DrAce46 I've felt this year's braking punishes you in a different way if you're too agressive going into corners, the bike just wouldn't turn in and make you go wide. Believe or not i was able to ride some decent times. Since the motogp 21 and now 22 are much harder on breaking i finally decided today to learn this element according to your advices. Unfortunately since my left thumb is used for so many years to move just left or right i absolutely have no senses for this adding back and forth.. I feel like completely rookie. If i ride without this, i easily win on 80% AI, if i try to add weighting the rider, i finish last... I am trying to add help by indicators of curves, but doesn't succed too much. The curbs are there to help, it can you give you a good indication of when to brake and what kind of corner it is. Always aim out of there corner rather than the apex. If you focus on the apex you’ll go too tight and not be able to get the correct speed

Im still playing MotoGP 21 but i assume my problem could still be relevant. I suffer frrom a lot of rear tyre sliding upon acceleration. So im in the motogp class and i can say im doin good overall. My difficulty is on 80% on the AI and im competitive on most of the tracks. I have no assists on. So i own motorcycle myself and i know that i have to be smooth on the controls and thats exactly what im doing in the game. As soon as im goin out of the corner i try to gradually increase the throttle but the rear wants to spit flames most of the time. Then i learned to shift gears manually as i thought the manual short shift will help me solve this problem. It didnt. I short shift on dry, i short shift on wet. Rear wants to slide 90% of the time. On the fist 2/3 laps is ok as my tyres are still fresh but after that its just painful... I start thinking that it could be the bike but i highly doubt it. Im on the petronas yamaha right now. Pls.. help.. : D

Sounds like you’re applying the throttle too aggressively. You have to be really soft on the throttle on MotoGP 21. There’s a setting called corner assistance control or something like that, try to see if that helps 👍🏻👍🏻
