- Hi guys and welcome to my RIDE 4 Tips/Tricks/guide video. Today we're looking at some of the tips and DrAce advice to help improve with throttle control and exiting corners with maximum speed!
Ride 4 is an excellent instalment to Milestone Italy's brilliant bike series.
Bikes handle just as well as MotoGP 20 does and the graphics are beautiful!

Saw the notification for this last week but only managed to get round to watch it today. Another brilliant guide, I'm already seeing an improvement in my riding ability. (struggled to win against 20% AI without resulting to ramming them and cutting corners and in 2 weeks I'm now comfortably beating 55% AI)

fr just tried this new method and at first i didnt really notice it as i was doing 5 laps of northwest 200 just to realize at the end that i had beaten my old lap time of 6 seconds
Just installed last night, amazing game. Absolutely perfect video, great job explaining how to enter and stay in turns. The analogy’s actually help a ton

Nice guide... Learned of your channel's existence by randomly running into your stickers/helmet liveries in Ride 4 online library.
Funny thing is, the friend of mine that introduced me to bike racing and got me to buy Ride 3,4 and MotoGP20 *also* calls himself Ace, is *also* a Doctor, and his number is *also* 47. For a second there I thought I had found a clone of him lol...

Good video. I like to have my bikes to have a softer front suspension, it helps me a lot with turn in.

I picked R4 in the sales. As a biker in RL I'm loving it so far. The bike control feels a lot different to Moto GP 22. I get what you mean about gradual throttle but the AI seems to get most corners spot on. You end up getting frustrated and hammering the throttle 😅
Doc, you a REAL one. The few video's I've watched have helped me get through 3 different championships that we're whipping my ass. Thank you. Do you play TT isle of man 2 as we'll? I really enjoyed that game and I think many people missed out on it. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hey buddy, I don’t actually use any setups at all. Everything is preset 👍🏻 however I have done a video on suspension settings where I tried out some combos. Thanks mate
after 15 hours of racing i tried no assists, it was acually really easy xD

I have done a somewhat of a breakdown on the world record laps I did on Philip island. I commentate what gears and brakes I used etc for some corners. Hope that helps. I’ll look into a full breakdown video 👍🏻👍🏻

@@DrAce46 thanks Dude:) I’ve watched a bunch of your videos and still struggling with ride 4. Man you make it look so easy but I end up swerving all over the place and can seem to get consistent at all though I’ve fluked some fast laps here and there. I’m sure the manual tuck does not stop the front coming up when pulling the stick back using Xbox 1, so still trying to figure out how best to control the bike...

Trigger extensions work wonders, sadly the clip on options are only avaliable for PS controllers

If you have a look at the comments on Redit, there are a lot of people are saying the same as me, the first few races on the getting your European licence and the rookie Cup just seem impossibly hard even with the Ai set to 20%.
The game is just ridiculously hard and because of this a lot of people are very disapointed with this game.. which is a pity because everything else about this game is so good.
That’s a shame, I haven’t found any of the game to be hard but I’ve heard a lot of newcomers say it’s brutal for difficulty. They can’t seem to get the balance right
Do you think it's correct when you hammer the front brake and the rear wheel doesn't get off the ground? I miss this in the game.
I miss that! It’s not the same now 😩
It does leave the ground if not pulling back on the stick. If left in a neutral position it'll lift, you can see it in replays.
Perhaps you're talking about something completely different, but my bike endo's regularly
@@mattmaffett5879 I rode the Kawasaki H2 yesterday at Nordschleife, and on that huge downhill straight I trying the going all the way on the frontal brake and nothing happened.
Being a rider myself and playing this game for the first time. This game is hard to get use to. I think riding is easier 😁

@@DrAce46 mostly bike control (that i saw in your other vid). I also ended up getting faster times by turning off all the rider aids. I guess i just need more practice

@@DrAce46 really haha? thanks for the reply literally got the game last night for birthday and first thing I noticed! I’ve actually turned the left foot setting off now as it just bugs me a little too much! I know it’s just a game but still you’d think it’s an obvious one and would make sure your in gear earlier or run wide!

You talk about traction control, as does everyone else, however I cannot find traction control anywhere. Exactly how do I get to it.
Move the D-Pad to access the electronics settings :)
How are you playing on a track as the only one on the track? I cant figure out how to simply do a test drive like this? Or is this just a time attack?

You need to be carrying the correct amount of speed into the corner and leaning into the corner before you get there. Unlike a car where you turn in when you reach the corner
Are you using auto transmission if X is tuck in?

I have been playing this videogame for the last two weeks and I have to say that graphics is not even close the best stuff in the game

how do i turn off/down traction control? its not in rider aids or bike setup, i can only turn off abs.
When in game and on track you can use the d-pad to change electronics

this is my problem, I have a geotech vx3 controller. it has triggers but they are basically switches. is there a way of altering them or is this controller just pants. cheer.
Oh dude, you need an official controller. Triggers like that are a nightmare for racing games. 😞

@@Folsy36 I much prefer the PS4 DualShock 4 controller. The deadzone for both the analogue sticks and triggers are much smaller 👍🏻

How close it is compare to driving a real motorcycle?
Not really close, the lines you need to take are very similar but the brakes are much much more forgiving
how can you be gently on throttle control when you play on joistic?? You cant press button half so you have smaller throttle, its 100% press(100% throttle) or is 0%,no midlle,so....
Hi mate, on official controllers such as DualShock 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 they have analogue triggers meaning it registers at whatever strength you pull the trigger. Hope that helps 👍🏻

Semi automatic mate, I do the downshifts and leave the up shifts to the computer 👍🏻

Hi, please could you or anyone in the thread help me. My game has become unplayable and I am not sure what's going on. Have already tried internet search and couldn't find anything on this. I am new to racing games so I play very basic, I don't touch bike setting and play on manual transmission. I have done Europe and Asia regions getting gold in all of them. I am now on America regional and everything was going fine when suddenly halfway through the 1000cc first race my bike started doing back flips when I accelerated. I figured maybe it had something to do with tire wear. I started the race again and this time the issue started straight away, from the go bike would flip backwards and crash with even the slightest touch of the accelerator. I then went back to other races I had already completed and suddenly the same issue. Different track, different bikes and different cc but they all flip backwards when I accelerate. Odd thing is if I hold the stick back I can do a wheelie and basically race on one wheel, but as soon as both wheels are on the ground and I accelerate the bike just flips backwards and crashes. Sorry for the long post, but I really need help. The game can't be played like this. Happy to take it on the chin if I've done something incredibly stupid that has caused this but I really need it to be resolved. Thanks in advance. I play on ps5
Have you turned off Anti wheelie perhaps? Whilst racing you can move the d-pad to the left or right and it will show your electronic settings.
There should be:
TCS - 0-3
AW - 0-3
EB - 0-3
Could be that mate
@@DrAce46 I tried that, unfortunately hasn't helped. I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled, still no use. Really can't understand this, it it completely baffling

@@DrAce46 No, automatic. I'm not very good at the game so I don't mess with the settings. Only thing I have ever changed is to manual transmission. I did double check after your message and definitely no manual tuck in. May I send you a video of what I'm experiencing?

You’re kidding? 😂 there is no throttle control. There’s not an analogue button on there 😂😂
If your pretty sure you can make that corner at that speed, throttle doesn't help at all. It's way faster to get on the throttle a half second late then to go off into the gravel.
What is this being played on I have an Xbox one and the graphics are awful nothing like this.

They’re not, this was just a guide to assist players with throttle control. Best way to learn the throttle is in the wet weather conditions
