I'm an aggressive braker, I always love to get the rear wheel sliding Brad Binder style just for fun.. But they definitely made it more difficult to get the rear to break away this year. I did notice that as the tire wears it gets easier, as it should irl. I was critical of the game at first because it's got quite a different feel than last years. But it's growing on me. A lot of realism in places I didn't necessarily expect. I love how the bike bucks and kick when your tire touches down during a fast corner or as your gearing and speed adjust to each other. Very realistic.
i feel like it's easier his year, it used to sling you off instantly when trying to slide the rear in mgp23
This is the best style, super agressive, on the limit…
Guides from Dr.Ace are precious as always, keep em handy, Thanks a lot Matt for these guides and vids, always a please to watch. Cheers!!!!
My pleasure mate, I hope it’s helpful
Watching from your motogp23 on body positioning when braking to exiting… I can’t play with out it anymore.. faster and more stable deceleration.. sharper exits..
Thank you so much. Makes me love and appreciate the game (and developers) even more..
❤❤❤
Cheers mate :D
Really appreciate this video. The worst thing I do is too much rear brake and the bike skids wide and down shift too fast. Your style is smoother so I really appreciate the guide so I can improve
My pleasure mate, I'll do my guides in the future :)
It's Dr Ace the King of self help videos. I notice the different feel this year, and I like it but have to change my braking, and noticed the rider weight seems more relevant this time too. Overall like the new game, think it's a solid effort so thanks for the video!
Glad it was helpful! Cheers mate I agree the braking is a bit different 👍🏻
@DrAce46 hey mate , on the next one, can you change the colour of the analog stick so we can easier see you weight movement on the bike. You did it on your ride braking tutorials I think .
Loving the videos pal 👍 much love from Australia
Great guide, some useful tips mentioned. I’m a sucker for time trial and just being that bit quicker 😂
Thanks for the brake disc advice. Almost every race my front brake is absolutely cold. No temp.
Hope it helps
Simracer for ages but just getting into Moto GP. Very helpful. Hope you do more guides, especially how to get a good launch.
Plenty more to come mate
really helps me a lot since I jump from motogp21 to motogp24 the mechanics is way different. I cant figure out why the bike cant turn when slamming the front brake 100% in motogp24 but you can in 21
Your videos are excellent and much appreciated. I'd not played Motogp for a few years and struggled until I started watching your videos. Looking forward to your academy videos! I've always wished I could connect a pedal set and rear brake with a foot pedal like a real bike!
Thanks mate! I appreciate the kind words! Yeah MotoGP Academy coming soon :D
I think you may be able to do something like that with a pedal, but I'm not sure
I've unbind the Rear Brake button and i know it's sounds crazy but it make the race even better at this game, it feels more natural to race, you need to brake early to make sure you're no hit anyone, especialy with the new Stewards System, i did this cus i have a bad habit to press A to brake the bike and just lose it. Racing in this game feels amazing and in some way realistic.
Edit: it make you more even with the IA on braking.
its funny to see that ure kinda doing pretty much the same thing as me (500hrs in motogp 21-23) on the controller by rolling it from down position to the side when trailbraking
Great video!
I wouldd love to see a tutorial on acceleration & anti-wheelie-electronics, as I am really struggeling in that discipline in MotoGP 24.
I’ll see what I can do 👍🏻
me too! in this video the acceleration is extremely smooth. I am always with the front tyre up
Thanks Doc! Not sure if you are doing another vid but I struggle with the breaking points so when I’m not stopping I’m jumping on both anchors 100% to get bike round corners! Guess I need to learn the tracks and breaking points better 👍🏻 also it is better to use. Ps5 pad? I use an Xbox Pro controller
Cheers mate, I aim to do more guides depening what you guys need. I'm planning on starting the MotoGP Academy videos soon. I think controller preference is just down to the player. I haven't liked an Xbox controller since the 360 so I tend to use PlayStation controllers :D
@@DrAce46 sounds good pal! Will look forward to the improvement vids!! I actually tried a PS5 controller last year on my PC and I hated it 😂. I’m stuck in my xbox ways I think 🤪👍🏻
im just starting with the motogp game, so im a bit of a beginner, is it best to turn off the aids for throttle, brake etc. or do you recommend going for the aids on first? I personally think to learn it the right way immediatly. as it might be hard to delearn using and relying on the aids the game provides?
Make a video about kerbs. It would be interesting to know how they affect your laptime and drive coming out of turns.
They changed everything since motogp08 ,thanks for your advice!
No problem 👍
With the downshift, in turn 1 at qatar i deliberately downshifted quickly to second to have that slide to turn in the corner. Figured it gain me laptime
Masyaallah great video,,,
btw i have major issue here with motogp 24,,,i use auto transmission just like motogp 23,,but here in motogp 24,,when i pushed the brake,, the gear is brutally downshift so fast in result the rear end waving like crazy,,,its very different with MG23,,please any suggestions what to do to tame this crazy downshift 😂,,,thx 🙏
Thank you.
Hmm I haven’t used auto gears. I guess my advice would be to start using manual to avoid the game doing the crazy downshifts
When I brake for first half I have no feeling and vibration, then near the apex I have vibration and feeling for a second then it’s too late and I crash 😂 I couldn’t turn the bike near the apex before I think it was because I was fully locking brakes
thanks man! but how do you keep your front wheel at the ground all the time? mine is always going up and up and up....
I’m very gentle with the throttle 💯 I have a guide coming soon for that 🔥
Don't forget to push down aswell makes a big difference
To be fair this is the easiest braking Moto GP game for years
Suspension plays a role in braking
This is my first MotoGP game and I'm struggling hugely with the brakes. The stopping distance changes every single time I brake and it just feels awful
Dr ace I need your help I’ve played every moto gp game since 2020 and now on 24 I finally feel like I’m really good at the game only minimum use of flashbacks here and there but I still need the racing line what’s the best way to learn how to race without it without making myself look horrible at the game
The besta advice I can give you is to just bite the bullet and turn off the racing line. The worst part about the racing line is that you learn how to react to the green and red lights on the guided line. I'd turn it off and go for it!
I think that you should have mentioned something about engine braking.
All aside crazy how your using r1 to come down the gears and triangle to go up the gears and then square for the rear brake 😳I personally use R3 for the rear brake it suits my riding style so well as iv switched the X button to R3
Haha yeah everyone has different button configs lol
Will you ever do a video about how to setup a bike. How to setup suspension and other stuff.
Thanks and great job and video
I haven't used any setups before, but I aim to try to use them this years game
Realy. And you play that good without setup a bike. So all you do is change tyre and thats it?
What about the trigger tension? Do you have it off or high on the controller?
Off as I’m on PC
I play on pc with keyboard, any tips with keyboard? Because its really different with keyboard, its kinda harder to have the lap speed of controller users in online modes.
Sadly not, I’d recommend getting a controller
MotoGP 24 is my first MotoGP game in 4 years that's why I'm using joint brakes for now. What is the disadvantage compared to separate ones?
The game can apply the rear brake when not neccessary which can cause unwanted crashes. I'd advise to turn it off
Is the reason I can’t turn my bike when I’m braking near the apex because I was braking to hard?
More than likely
As soon as I press the rear brake, the wheel goes sideways and the whole bike goes sideways and makes me fall every time. How do I solve it M
Try the smaller rear brake disc 👍🏻
Have they fixed the curbing issue for this year?
Yes
Curbs are overall ok, there is the occasional banana peel here and there, Catalunya being one track I noticed it on. But way better and you can ride most if not all depending on speed and angle.
@@messiahshowGreat to hear, as it was the curbing wasn't your friend.
How long does it take to get use to shifting in game.. I've always wanted to learn how to drvie manual on games but, gets frustrated lol.
I have used manual in MotoGP games since 20, honestly I learned by watching onboards and playing with automatic and just being mindful of the shifts, you get used to dropping the gears down quickly, makes corner exits feel soo satisfying
@@mateuszwojciechowski9622 appreciate the feed back. I have to just put in some effort and not get frustrated lol
Best advice I can give for learning the shifts. Is to play semi automatic gears and do the shifting yourself when you can and slowly aim to take over the shifting
For those who are unable to advance in the game. Set the AI level to as low as possible. You can start at the lowest level until you get used to the opponents and also the track. When you find it too easy, start increasing the AI level until you adjust.
Is it possible to brake only using the front brake ? Because my bike dosnt brake properly e vem using the rear, and its impossible to turn the bike
Yeah it’s possible, you could also try using the smaller brake disc
@@DrAce46 moto 2 works?
Yeah you can use the front brake exclusively in Moto2
in this game the front end feel is not as good as motogp23
Do you mean that you lose front way easier?
@@Taeke_Jan i didnt get any feedback(vibrations) from the front while loosing the front
@@ashutoshbehera4283 I have 1sec of vibration and im down😂😂
@@Taeke_JanI find I lose the front end later but much more abruptly, which to be fair looking at the recent seasons seems to be case, when you watch the riders crash it’s often a very fast tuck. However, I feel like you can break too hard with lean angle at the moment
I don't know hoe to set my ebs, what does it and wat is the perfect setting?
There isn’t a perfect setting it just depends on your style. Try each one and see which one you feel strongest with. The engine brake engages when you’re not using the throttle. You’ll notice it a lot under braking. I found it was better to reduce engine brake to 3
What finger your press throttle and downshift?
Index finger, I move it across for each button 👍🏻
I’m new to motogp so when you do your turns do you brake. I try to push but it feel the bike braking a lot.
Yeah it’s important to trail brake in the corners unless it’s a faster corner where you’re on the throttle
@@DrAce46 so before I make the turn I brake light or hard and then when I am a straight line I can speed up? Sorry if my wording confusing. also the RHD does it matter between tcs and aw and the other two?
Brake firm on the straights and slowly reduce when turning
@@DrAce46another question why is it when I turn my motorcycle going slow. I brake before the turns. Finally when it comes to practice/qualifying I start out fine but then I’m in last place.
Has anyone else gone far enough into career mode yet? I’m confused if I messed up during the summer break portion of the schedule it asked if I want to stay in moto 2 or go up a class for next season. I swear I chose move up a class but it’s showing I chose moto 2 again for next year. Just wondering if that means I have to restart all over to be able to move up a class. Or if it says that till you have a true transfer rumour. Thanks all
Don’t worry you’ll still get options for each class
@@DrAce46ahhh excellent thank you, you’re the best mate!!
Cheers mate
So are you never use combination front brake and rear brake?
Yeah almost every time on hard braking
Been trying to figure out these motorcycle games since the one on Sega, that was a great one you could actually break in turn without flying into a wall, Thanks but no thanks I'll stick to F1.
Personally I think motoGP 24 is way smoother than 23
Yeah it's nearly perfect
Is it js me or in motogp24, wheeling is a problem even when i have AW at max
It requires a gentle touch on acceleration now
how about the bike settings? im garbage about that haha please help
Everything at default
When i turn and brake i always come off the bike any tips?
Try to reduce the brake as your turn
Is it possible to brake like Toprak in this game?
Not really
Yes you can. Are you high Dr?? 😮
There it is, lets gooo ❤️
the rhd can't even keep the bike down on this game. that makes it harder to get traction going out of a slow corner. i hate it
Yeah it requires a very delicate throttle touch this year
Try to use HONDA LCR in carrer mode haha
this game makes me 3 seconds slower
Milestone not updating yamaha rear wing and silencer and other motogp bikes still old versions big disappointing
Updated next week
the game has gyro controls so you don't need to steer with the analog stick
Gyro controls are not very good
How to do it in keyboard mate
I wouldn’t recommend using keyboard as the inputs are not analogue
Does this game physics feel like Ride 5?
No, there's much more feedback and vibration in MotoGP 24
@@DrAce46 thanks! I haven’t bought MotoGP since 2019. I might get 2024 this time.
Why not L1 upshift makes more sense to me
I use that for the clutch
@@DrAce46 yes I know so triangle
kao?
Uhm it makes sense, the front locking and all, I played more with the Moto3 but thats one thing that is WAY different in this game.
I was used to GP22 where you just squeezed the brakes as hard as possible to stop the bike, but I noticed in this game, when you hit 100% pressure thats not when the brakes are most effective, thats also why its really difficult to steer the bike under heavy braking especially in MotoGP bikes.
Thats where the Dualsense makes a difference, deffinetely the go-to controller for this game, wish Xbox made a good controller
its completely fine even with proper settings on controller with trigger vibration, playing with vader 3 pro and its sending very good feedback through the controller.
@@krejza87 I have the standard xbox controller mate and I never said it was bad, in fact the MotoGP games is for sure on the top 3 of best feedback you get through the controller.
Its just a fact that the DualSense is better. If youve never used it you wont understand it, but I used it once at a friends house, to play Dirt 5 of all things and I was blown away. The left trigger becomes increasialingly harder to press, just like a brake pedal and the right trigger vibrates to communicate the wheelspin, its even difficult to explain, remarkable piece of technology that controller
Braking in this game feels even more easier than in ride 5 and moto 2 has superb stability tbh. Its nice change in compare to motogp22 :)
Yeah for sure
£60 tho :L
Rider weight on the stick hasn't done anything for years, it's a complete placebo just like the dangle
It does! 😂😂 You're just Bad at it.
You don’t have to use it then 😂
