    Remember to never expect fast and instant growth/returns. Just like when you plant a tree, you'll reap the fruits only in the next few years. :)

    We never expect investment to be a short term game, but rather what Stashaway did during the market downturn (eg selling China tech at almost the lowest price) just flies in the face of typical investing advices.

    The issue with Stashaway is how they handled their china ETFs (especially KWEB). They sold at the wrong time. When i first heard of Stashaway, I expected that their robo is literally day trading actively. It is not. I think there is nothing robo about Stashaway. They just buy ETFs and Index funds anyway and you can do that yourself. In fact they do so many manual portfolio rebalances that the word robo is very misleading.

    Just place your money in EPF for the long term to reap reasonably high returns. You can sleep well knowing that you won't lose a single sen but are guaranteed a minimum return. I've invested in Stashaway for quite some time now and have made double-digit losses. It's better not to invest in ETFs until the US stops its interest hiking and the Ukraine war ends. It may be a very long time.

    used stashaway in late 2020, aggressive portfolio with 20-25% returns... that coincides with the post COVID run then in 2022 all profits gone and now losing 20-30%... i have since placed them in their Simple PF.

    Great video explaining as always, however I am a bit concern by the fact that I’m not sure if this video is sponsored by stashaway or not, if this was like something else I wouldn’t be so concerned, but because this involves financial products that could lead to losses or worse, I think you need to provide an explicit advertisement disclosure before you start your videos dude

    It is now 2023 and I am glad that my SA portfolios are gaining profits this year.
    As 2022 went by with the economy slowing down due to the combat against inflation, so many lessons I have gained throughout my journey in ETFs. It’s like what the host said “It’s buying a Honda Civic and you expect it to be very fast in off-road tracks.”
    Let’s hope 2024 will be another fruitful year.

    Personally I think StashAway or equivalent unit trust are all scam... It says mid and long term and my investment with StashAway started since 2019 and today it is in -15% with monthly contribution. End up, it is the fund manager that making money by charging monthly management fee be it profit or loses.

    In 2020, stashaway sell low buy high. 2022 war, sell low buy high. Because they “robo algo” says so.
    Stashaway advertised themselves as a robo advisor, ppl will think that it’s a robo trader that change portfolio every month or week or days. But what it does so far is just managed by HUMANS which is obviously driven by emotions based on the 2 huge cases.

    i know my comment won't budge a cent out of stashaway as they are living like asset manager pay, but as past user has given bad review about stashaway in social medias, that platform is just as good as in the past. even with introducing flexible self-pick portfolio or investing in BlackRock product or even free admin fees. as long as it still involves human interference, consideration and conviction, then it not worth the title to be robo-advisor or anyone money

    • @MrMoneyTV
      @MrMoneyTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      IT depends what is your goal. You need to have a good understanding of what is SP500, what affects it's performance. So if the future macro direction may not help the SP500 perhaps you want to consider diversifying. as for fees, its important but it should not be your number one consideration
