Thanks thanks, glad you find it helpful. The 200E is an awesome little engine just a pain in the butt swap the front sprocket. I threw this video together in hopes it would help someone along the way. Ive been using this engine in the lifted trike build and shes running strong still. Waiting for some new rear hubs to come in before i start driving it hard
I have a question for you. There’s a vertical Phillips screw next to the high low shifter. The screw is hollow and there’s a spring inside. Do you know what its for?
That screw is a set screw. It basically is there to help keep the shift the shaft in place. I can't remember off hand the spring loaded part but if it is spring loaded it makes sense. If you look on the inside( closer to the engine side ) look at the piece the shifter lever attaches too. You'll see two dimples. That screw helps assist and keep the gear in place if you are in high or in low.

I'm picking up a 200e in a couple days to add to my collection. I appreciate your time to make these videos. I have a question about the engine in the 200e and 200m can you swap there covers and electric starters or the hi low sub trans onto say a 185? What about putting a shaft drive cover and drive set up onto a 185 or 200 non shaft engine? Sorry for the questions Im just trying to get as much knowledge as possible.
200e and 200m are similar but 200E has a different style output shaft to accommodate the sub transmission, most parts will indeed interchange it just gets more tangley with splitting cases and trying to swap out parts. Electric start and stuff is the same but output shaft is primarily different. There was kits made previously to add a reverse onto the 200E engines, a lot of funky stuff can be done. I haven't experimented much with engine swapping as i have a lot of spare engines kicking around

I hope my next build will be of as high quality as yours, I've got 2 so far and neither is even close to your ripper build. I'm hoping my 200e will even be worth showing when it's done. Hey man! I'm in desperate need of your help. I watched this video 100 times and got my front sprocket changed but now I'm onto reassembling the sub transmission and I can't figure this at all. Is there any way you'd look me uo.on Facebook and give me some advice? The name is Devon Fullerton from Maine. I've been working on this thing for weeks and am dieing for a ride
yes me buddy, what is the issue youre having? Add me on Fb its Muddy Thumper on FB. I can tear apart one of my E's and show you how it goes back together no big deal or i can take that engine apart again haha. It can look overwhelming but its easy
it cant be a 200m ... it has electric start. the 200E had more then 1 motor. i think it had 3. i have both of those motors and i also have a 200m. 200m dont have electric start. ... i better download this vid soon. its going to get blocked by youtube. Check out some of my builds like Big thunder, or my discbrake conversion build. Its pretty straight forward. The 200E has the hi low gear box, has downshift and no reverse. The 200m's were just straight sprocket without high low gear.
Do you have the lever arm off ? Are the gears lined up and not bulging ? What about the pin that sits on top? You can send my fb MuddyThumper a message I got some videos on fb I can forward

I got it from a local atv bike shop , you can buy them new online , try eBay ! I see them on eBay all the time

I got a problem on my 200e it has diffrent recoil gold peice there's no hole to get that nut off

Where did you get the replacement sprocket?
I ordered the sprockets locally at a used atv/bike store. however, they are available on ebay!
