My ATC,110 starts easy, the first time, but then just cuts out and it’s really hard to start
Hi mate has anyone put motorbike engines in an argo?, id buy an old one with a buggered engine and stick a honda vtr 1000cc in it as i have a good engine in my shed ,cheers 🏴🍺
@@Hellbillyhok there’s a video of one on TH-cam somewhere, some guy had a motorcycle engine in one. To me it wouldn’t be as nice cause then you have a clutch and gears which would make a Argo pretty challenging to drive with the turning and changing gears. See if you can find like a 20 hp diesel engine or something similar. Snowmobile engine, or something like that. Not sure if you have princess auto over there. We see 713cc engines go on sale all the time for 1000$ cad. Heck even powerful snowblower engine would do it. I’d just stick to high hp like 20+. Cheers -muddy
@@muddythumper8152 thanks buddy I'll look into it 💪🏻
Thk’s for this vidéo vert helpfull👍👌
Nice video but are there any videos about the front left chain tightened, I'm having trouble, thanks.
@@PaulineShattler I haven’t had any issues with my new ones yet. What is the issue you’re having with?
Good to see a new post.
Im a Scotsman and i lived in B.C during the 90's when your video started i was trying to figure out if you were irish, scots or canadian, then i seen your number plate with Newfoundland on it, i have been asked if i was a noofy a few times in B.C, up until now i hadn't heard a newfoundland person speakin, your accent is brilliant ,its like canadian irish scots mixed in all together , cheers from Fife 🏴
@@Hellbillyhok thanks! I’m from the main city of St. John’s. All around Newfoundland we have different dialects mainly Scottish Irish English descents. Mine came from Scotland. Thanks for stopping by , good luck on your Argo hunt if you’re getting one. Any questions drop a line

Great video! I'm currently posting my restoration videos of my newly acquired 2015 Argo Avenger 750HDi 8x8. I'm working in part 4 as we speak. Keep up the good work on restoring your older Argo.
My 2006 Bravo hard to start, once started runs well for 15 to 30 mins then stalls again . After that really hard to start. Any suggestions?
@@bearhart1799 make sure your carbs are clean, she could be flooding herself. Check the plugs after it stalls. Also ignition coil for your plug could be getting bad. They usually heat up and lose spark when they are old and work out
Not sure if you still have the 3 wheeler or not... but you can slip a pipe over the handle (3ft pipe or so) and straighten your handlebars back out👍 🍻 cheers from ontario Canada
@@SmugMrSmitty yes I still got this one, I’m keeping her. I sold another 200m and currently selling my two 250’s. I became a hoarder and realized you only need one good bike and a few parts lol! My favourite bike is the 200m. Thanks for stopping by !
@muddythumper8152 lol. I just got my '84 125m up and running, after it sitting in the bush (in northern Canada) under a tarp for 15years. And my oldest son just told me he has a '84 200 for me. Great old bikes, can't go wrong with an old honda👍
Any updates on the 570? Mine has 1200km normal riding. Never in mud so usally running 2wd. Do you ever lock the rear end when riding in 2wd? You change the differanial fluid yet?
@@DeanMay-n3h I haven’t done a fluid diff change yet , haven’t put many kms on mine lately been using my 6 wheeler more for going in ponds and whatnot. With lockers I read in the manual that you have to be doing I thinks it’s like 10km hr or so tops so not very fast. I do use the lockers only if I come across a bad spot and let her crawl through. Black wire is the dim function of a 12v light. So your b/u lights would be a ton brighter if you used the red wire instead of the black Also, as an alternative to resistors, you can wire in an additional incandescent light on each side. If you don’t want them to be seen from the outside you can even zip tie them up underneath the pickup so they shine at the ground. Gives a neat red glow on the ground under the pickup and it obviously blinks with your blinkers which can look cool at night. You can also tie them up completely so you can’t tell they are there at all. There have been times I’ve left the factory wiring intact so I could just plug in the factory bulb to get sufficient resistance and spliced the led taillights in somewhere upstream a little bit. But in both cases, don’t tie them to any wiring because they both produce a lot of heat and can melt the coating clean off causing a short
Hey I have a 1980 Honda atc 185s I’m looking to lift don’t have the money for a swamp outlaw lift kit how would I build my own?
@@kaydendelahoussaye8752 pretty easy, on the rear you can some nice steel plate and fab up some brackets or take the rear carrier and but the top bolt into the bottom one for the frame then weld on or bolt on a lower bracket. For the front you can weld the forks longer or we’ll some tube to length the forks
@@muddythumper8152 okay thank you ima try to do that

Looks like it'll work great! I just bought a beat-up 2015 Argo 750HDi that I'm going to do a complete frame out restoration and referb on. It didn't come with a brake fan either. I'm going to put the brake fan I'm going to make on a switch instead of the ignition. That way, it's not drawing from the battery at start up or if I'm running other accessories and don't need the fan constantly on.
@@2artactical55 that’s a good idea too to toggle it, I like the constant cooling cause Argo was always famous for running hot lol! I don’t run any other accessories really, maybe winch in a pinch.
@muddythumper8152 of for sure. The more cool air entering the engine compartment, the better. I don't have a backup pull start for mine and have had my battery level go very low in the woods at night with lights on. If there was a constant on fan running the moment I turned my key on, it wouldn't have started. My engine is liquid cooled and has great airflow from the radiator fan as is. Eventually, I want to install an alternator to keep up with the power draw demands I want to put on it. I now carry one of those pocket-sized battery jump starters under the seat. I just like to be able to shut off what may not be needed on start-up if I'm in a low battery pinch. A hood scoop fan would also be on my list of stuff to pull more hot air out of the engine bay on demand.
My 1983 Honda atc200 lost spark the other day it also bent the generator pulse coil do u have any idea ?
I put the bent one away an put the oem one back on but it has a little rust on it idk if that has anything to do with it or do I need to order a new generator pulse coil
Hard to tell you need to rule out each component
@@muddythumper8152it was the cdi box after all but now I put a new kill switch on an found out the black wire from the cdi box to the connector is not working so the kill switch isn’t working but the headlight is working
I have this radio and you can’t hear anything at high way speeds!
Pretty slick. Love mine
Do you have a motor on it?
no, just her OEM tires theyre swim tires.
The tub & top... cannot be replaced & virtually impossible to repair. Pay a LOT of attention to tge front corners of the hatch for the engine. The standard winch bracket has a frame which bolts back to the chassis & it sucks. If the winch mount moves, it will Crack the upper tub at these corners. Chassis: the steel ladder chassis in the bottom. They get rusty & are again very difficult to repair. Tires: the runamuk tires are terrible. They dont swim worthva damn. Replace them with ITP Mud Lite 22x11-8. Argo wheels all leak air.. it is normal so be ready to check & pump daily. Most of the other stuff is repairable, replacable but remember, Argo parts are VERY EXPENSIVE!
@@davidbrewer7937 yup you got that right Argos are expensive , upper tubs and lowers can be swapped out. I’ve had mine separated. Lower tub is a lot of work to remove cause you have to remove the frame. I got my old 8x8 for sale now. She has mud tires on it currently .I’m happy with the 2022 model so hope the 8 wheeler gets a good home. Argos are maintenance machines that’s for sure. I drive my 6x6 more then the quad these days! 5 inch lift!
Good job! I was also looking at fabricating an alternator bracket to mount one on my newly obtained 2015 Argo 750HDi.
thanks! theres not much too it, just find a way to mount it and wire it in. good to have extra charging for sure. 750 hdi is a nice rig!
What wheel spacer would I have to use if I put on to covert it to atv tires on the back anyone know
you dont need a wheel spacer switch over to 400ex rear hubs they fit right on! they also have a offset
That is a super clean unit!
What air pressure are the tires at? Seems bouncy yet fun. Are argos ok in salt water?
Argos don’t have suspension , I wouldn’t recommend salt water cause of rust but people use them in salt water. Psi is Like 2-3 psi or so
