@@jeikei13 if I remember correctly there are 2 USB ports. One for the interface and another for charging. It is that same way on many of the Maono interfaces. i recommend any of the other options over this interface if you have not purchased. I reviewed a pile of Maono interfaces and this is the most entry level audio quality model they make. The Neo C2, the AME2, the AM100 are all recommended over this model.
@@jeikei13 i cannot guarantee there is any safety to prevent overcharging. That isn't information I have been provided to me. As far as I understand it is like anything that you charge and as far as I remember there is a point at max charge that it appears to stop charging.
@@ktomcruz i highly doubt it. Sadly I gave away my DGM20 microphone about 3 months ago and yes I do have a USB to 3.5mm cable as well. I don't remember if the 3.5mm put out any mic power... Mic power auto turna on the Rode NTG but most mic power outputs are 3 volts not the required 5 volts the DM30 RGB or DGM20 requires .
OK, I need to know if this device will work with windows computer OBS because my sound quality when I am streaming from my Xbox to my capture card to my computer then streaming or making videos onto my computer and uploading them onto TH-cam my sound is crap . and also, how do you install it? What goes where how do you hook it up to a windows computer?
@@TrippyLegitGamer1234 yes this works with OBS but this is the lowest quality option from Maono. I recommend the Neo C2, AM100, AME2 and all of those options i reviewed on this channel and all of them are much better than this one.

@@TrippyLegitGamer1234 if your xbox capture card goes direct to PC, use the interface direct PC and keep it simple. If you want great sound get a Vocaster Two or the Elgato Wave XLR. OBS has the option to choose the audio device. I cannot promise you won't have audio video sync issues but that can also be corrected in OBS with a bit of work.
@@ethangender that's odd. If you'd be in northern BC Canada I would gladly check that out to see if I can find a fix or not for your issue. I quickly replaced my unit with the better AM100, the Neo C2 was a similar possibly cheaper price but better audio quality with less audio channels mind you.

Keep in mind not all cables are created equally. This is the lowest end, most introductory model of the Maono Interfaces. I much prefer the AM2EA or the AM100. I reviewed all 3 interfaces on this Studio channel. I am writing you from my larger tech channel... working on Videos for both channels at the moment, I 10 hours per day as an electrician :P.

@@katico2186 Sadly in terms of pure audio quality none of the Maono interfaces are "pro quality". They all use sound cards rather than normal audio chipsets used in high end audio devices. I've tested a heck of a lot of interfaces, other than Maono supplying this one for review AM100 being one of them I paid out of pocket for everything else. Elgato Wave XLR is a one channel device with really nice software and a lot of gain volume. Focusrite Scarelete 2i2 Gen 4 is a 2 channel device with good sound. The Vocaster 2 is a 2 channel device but everything is recorded in mono, had wonderful gain levels with low hiss, bluetooth, direct to camera AUX connection and mute button. When not using my Zoom F3 I am using the Vocaster 2.

@@ridermalli2560 I would recommend to try it and see how it works and if there are any issues with how you intend to use it. For me audio is never accepting the normal this is all you can do. Chick on my channel name and go to the HOT TIP playlist and see how so many devices can work not as intended and work and sound great while doing it. I recorded guitar with a Zoom F3 and even used my mobile phone as an audio interface to it.
Sadly I am confused by your question. I connected directly to the camera so you could hear the settings, these settings you do not hear directly recorded. The audio you are hearing is the headphone out sound. How else do I know my settings if I am not watching the buttons. Direct to PC does not play the settings sounds... Not certain if you are asking if I can mute my mic? I just turn the mic to min to mute it. There is no MUTE button on this.
@@sparkestudio Yea im just lost cause i got mine today and i plug my headset in the back and it forces me to listen to my voice through the box when i dont want to and when i turn down the mic volume mixer it just causes my mic to be muted on my pc.

If I connect this to my phone via otg cable, will it work? Also, will it have stereo music in the background? I have like an idea setup where I'll just output my audio interface to this one by using my DAW as the mixer for my mic with the effects. The Maono is basically just to connect the output of the audio interface to my phone with stereo.
I wish I could still answer these questions. I no longer have this... The only Maono caster device I still have with me is the Neo. In terms of the Maono devices I reviewed and purchased every single one of them. This one is the lowest quality sound of all the options. The AM100 and even the cheaper Neo is a big upgrade over this.
Usually sound like that is a bad cable not making proper connection. Could be interference from other devices connected on the same power circuit if it's only when plugged in

If you search my channel and type in Maono I reviewed a pile of their stuff and about 4 other interfaces. The AM100 has pre-installed sounds, does not require you to work around settings to avoid hiss and has all this has but better.

If you only need 1 input and don't need the record to sound channels I recommend the Neo C2 it has better audio quality... Every single Maono interface has better audio than this one. Hi Sara. I am not sure how much more I can help than my video. Did you try other microphones to make sure it simply didn't like the one you were using and also make sure other wireless devices weren't too close and causing interference? I no longer own this unit, the AM100 and the AM2E which I both used were far better units with less self noise. These days my main audio interfaces are the Vocaster Two and the Zoom F3. Only other though is if you are using a bad power source like a wall USB for power the audio can be degraded due to the unclean power source.
I don't remember the connection on this but if you have a dual mic system like the Rode wireless Go II or even a 4 mic mic set it's easy. Or you use a dual XLR splitter cable to 1 in... There are many tips and tricks. I teach many of those types of audio hacks in my HOT TIPS videos that I have a playlist list for. Connect XLR to 3.5mm TRS no problem. Get rid of audio hiss yet, connect any USB device to 3.5mm TRS camera in the port. I got that also and more.
I have not in any of "all" of Maono's audio interfaces I have reviewed. If I still had them it would be interesting to see what the battery type is. The last interface I reviewed is the Neo C2. This AM200 is the lowest quality audio out of all of them.

I found that the microphone was absolutely shit. Kept on getting background noise regardless of the Denoise option.

You'd be best to play the karaoke music using Bluetooth on the mobile phone. The Maono PD200X or even the cheaper mic i reviewed from maono PD50? Could work. I am at a work camp no access to the PC. I have not owned this for years. I replaced near immediately with the much better AM100, then the AM2E.. I only currently own the very affordable Neo; was too cheap not to purchase lol.
