  • This video is all about how to improve your colon motility to address/fix your SIBO! SIBO stands for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth! #SIBO #nausearelief #bloating #abdominalpain #ibs #constipation
Most of your bacteria lives in your large intestine; however, if the bacteria travels backwards into your small intestine, then you'll start to feel SIBO symptoms like nausea, abdominal pain, bloating, constipation and loss of appetite! The best way to improve SIBO is to address the colon motility to make sure food is moving FORWARDS and NOT backwards.
I share 6 ways to improve your colon motility:
    Outline:
00:00-02:21 Introduction, what is SIBO, why colon motility is an issue?
02:21-03:48 Tip 1: Add prokinetics into your diet, like ginger!
03:48-04:45 Tip 2: Start with bitter greens for meals
04:45-05:17 Tip 3: Add herbal bitters to your diet
    05:17-06:00 Tip 4: Diaphragmatic breathing
06:00-06:35 Tip 5: Abdominal colon massage
06:35-07:37 Tip 6: Chew your food!

I just came across your channel and I love the information you provide! I have had lifelong digestive issues which are becoming more problematic as I get older, currently age 75. Your instructions are so clear and concise. I have recently added a fresh ginger root “tea” in the evening as most readily available ginger teas have additional ingredients that you can only find in the ingredients list…something In would have never suspected. Also the cost these days for tea is shocking! Please keep up the valuable service you are providing.

This is very helpful. I have a couple of questions: how much ginger should be consumed daily for these symptoms and two, when should the massage you talk about be done? I’m going out right now to pick some dandelions! Thanks 🩷

Hi Heather! A few slices of ginger (3-4 for 2 cups of water) - boil for 30 minutes should be good! I like to have 3-4 slices of ginger in 4 cups of hot water in a thermos, and have it throughout my day and its super sharp in flavor!
I recommend doing the abdominal massage twice a day. First thing in the morning, and right when you go to bed at night.
