Love the at night vids mike, one of the few car reviewers that really go in detail while reviewing a car and we appreciate that!! keep up the amazing work mike! ❤
I personally like more subtle ambient lighting. The German cars overdo it in my eyes. I do agree the lighting on the center console should be much better. But we know Nissan/Infiniti is still in an uphill battle financially and they had to cut costs somewhere while still delivering good feature content. They could have cut costs in worse ways. In a pinch you'd just have to turn on the overhead lights. Headlights look fine to me, but I do drive a 2013 so LEDs looks super bright to me no matter what. I do notice it's missing the adaptive headlights that the QX60 has... but I feel like those don't have much benefit.
Nissan is so broke from low sales that I’m surprised they made the QX80 as nice as it is. They’re trying so hard to fix their reputation but they have so much against them. I’m not surprised that they’re asking for a pretty penny for the new QX80, they’re trying to get their money back
Because of the great video Mike, I noticed: -little ambient lighting at the center console area and cup holders (either from the overhead down or within the compartments - no adaptive headlight system or even swerving with the wheel - no cornering lights as with cars in the same class - no fog lights. - no puddle lights under the doors. - no lights in the rear floorboard! Looks dark. Or center box. Glove box has a traditional yellow light? - no sequential turn signals (not sure if it's still a regulation issue) Surprisingly, some were offered in the previous model. Thanks for the amazing review
Your night videos set you apart from most other reviewers. Keep up the good work. I too am surprised at the lack of brightness levels in the interiors lighting as well as the lackluster quality of the headlights for a $100K+ vehicle. I think they think most well healed soccer moms probably wouldn't notice.
Thanks for this very informative video!! Infiniti has really dethroned many of its major rivals with this redesign!! Some imperfections Infiniti could work on but otherwise a great SUV!! Nice job Mike!!
Hey Mike, this is the second review I've looked at this car. You looked at it from a very interesting position, use it at night. There was little about the car, mainly about the feeling of being inside the cabin and its appearance to the eye. But since I am an experienced audiophile, I heard that the sound of the driver's door closing is of collective farm origin, and this will need to be improved after the purchase. Of course, I didn’t see a lot of things. This review was made about 3 months ago, but overall I liked it, especially from the point of view of use in the dark, when you and your chick can go somewhere in a small town, eat street food, chat with friends and everyone will fit in without a doubt, because the car interior is very roomy. I live in Russia, people here love big, roomy cars with which you can travel and be happy on the road. I shake your hand firmly, you clearly state the facts, I really liked the manner of communication, continue in the same spirit. I wish you rocket advancement in the media space!!! Hello family!!!
3.5V6 turbocharged engine 450HP 516 Ft lbs of torque. 64 colour ambient lighting. Air suspension. Flush mount pop out door handles. Huge digital dash and infotainment screen. Heated, cooled and massaging second row captain chairs. First ever Klipsch 24 speaker sound system to be put into a vehicle (any audiophile knows Klipsch, equivalent or better than Harmon Kardon, Bang and Olufsen, Bose of course, Bowers and Wilkins etc) oh and Biometric heating/cooling which uses infrared sensors to monitor body temperatures to control the HVAC and seating controls ? Insane. Infiniti invented the first ever Birds Eye view or 360 degree camera and it was on the 2008 EX35…. They have the technology, obviously in terms of Tech and engines . This new engine is dubbed the VR35DDTT which is apart of the VR engine family which includes the VR38DDTT from the glorious Nissan GTR performance car. If I win the lottery I’m buying one before anyone vehicle
I think the lighting looks just right. But the lighting issue could be subjective. But you do need good lighting. Nodoubt there. But still, the QX80 has knocked it out of the park with this total refresh. They've addressed all the issues the previous generation missed. The new king of SUV'S here!!!
I'm actually not offended by the price..... There is no luxury full size suv on the market under 100k...... Even the non luxury brands come very close to 100k (expeditions, sequoias, Tahoes) ... (Top of the line) It's a good looking truck with lots of features, lots of safety and that Japanese engine might last you forever.......
This is the first time I see your review, and you are doing a very wonderful job and I hope that the problems you mentioned will be fixed By the way, your keen observations help people save their money. Keep it up👍🏻
23:58 Can't tell, but do the low beams move left to right with the steering? My 2016 has the adaptive headlights and it's very cool to see them moving back and forth as I drive.
I really enjoyed your reviews, goes into more in depth compared to other reviewers. Maybe you can show how the lights look on the rear and side mirrors from a vehicle in front of it in the future.
LED brake lights should be larger and brighter for a SUV of this size and cost! Brake lights looks like an afterthought compared to how bright the LED rear turn signals are.
Very nice update from your last QX80. The only thing that Infiniti took away is the puddle lights. 😢 Still wish that more manufacturers would look at what Hyundai/Genesis is doing. They are the best with interior lighting on their higher end models.
A lot of popular reviewers are given all-expense-paid trips around the world by the manufacturers to go to their press events. They sleep in $1000 a night hotels and get buttered up the whole time. After receiving $5,000 - $10,000+ worth of benefits, It is unlikely this has no effect of the "review" videos they make :)
To turn all the lights off, you have to turn the vehicle off engage parking break , turn off all the lights then turn on the vehicle. Leave a like if this welp. And this is applicable to all Nissan vehicles
Again Infiniti make the same mistake foot & headlights before 5 years with all new 2018 i bought Qx80 then changed to 2019 Armada hope not to repeat with all new Armada
These type of vehicles would do great in the 70-75k range but for some reason they want to compete with vehicles that they can’t match. BMW, MB or Range Rover. They are not even close. Ambient lighting should be adjustable. Some of us light them bright. With all these cons is def not worth the price
I think I am more impressed with the 2024 hyundai santa fe hybrid calligraphy which is half the price of the infinite QX80 and has better lights than a vehicle that costs twice as much and the hyundai hybrid gets far better fuel mileage than this QX80 and for bang for buck I would buy the hyundai santa fe hybrid calligraphy and doesn't need premium fuel either. Thanks again, Mike, for another good nighttime review.
My detailed review aims to provide thorough information for potential buyers, especially given the QX80's luxury status and price point. While the vehicle is indeed impressive overall, I believe discussing both strengths and potential improvements helps viewers make informed decisions based on their specific needs. Different drivers have different priorities, which is why I try to cover all aspects in depth.
If you're buying a $100k+ vehicle you expect nothing but absolute quality, he has to point out every detail why you would bypass an Escalade, LX and every vehicle in its class to get this
Love the at night vids mike, one of the few car reviewers that really go in detail while reviewing a car and we appreciate that!! keep up the amazing work mike! ❤
I seriously would consider purchasing this $112,590.00 beauty right here!🤔
👉EXCELLENT JOB AS ALWAYS MIKE👈
Great night vid, very thorough. Hitting those areas no one would know until after the purchase. Thanks.

Germans ambient lights on some GTA strip club shit, it looks gross, cheap, horrible !
How has reliability been?

Yes, all of these little things add up. Hopefully it's fixed on the 2026 and not something we have to wait on the mid cycle refresh for.

The 2025 GMc Denali ultimate has literally no ambient lighting for 110k. GM is the worst. Wagoneer no better. I’d grab this over both those
Never been an Infinity lover personally, but they did a freaking amazing job with the QX80.

As always - you give a great review! I agree - ergonomics are extremely important.
O man you are absolutely awesome making these videos, everything is impressive from A to Z, keep it up and may god bless you.

Another great video, thank you so much for the night time review!
2026 should address the low beams imo.

Great review. Showing real issues for such an expensive vehicle. Hopefully, it would make up with build quality.

No, these are static headlights.
Such a high end car in now a days generation without soft close doors, reallly!!!

Good Feedbacks, we will consider
Much needed improvement to the QX80, but I will miss the puddle lights, the swivel headlights, and the Footwell lights.

Comparing a Santa Fe to this? You're in the wrong category mate.
