By design, the two top latches are a loose fit. However, the cover will stay on the housing once installed into the vehicle.
AQ1097KIT filter fits:
Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999-2010
The model shown in this video is a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but installation is similar on the other models.

The filter is pointless with the housing for it. Thanks for the time wasted

@@filterheads thanks
Can someone please tell me if a 2007 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo has a inside air filter or not I even googled it some of them I see are like this one then there is another one they show that goes inside but I can't find it I took the glove box down not there.
If you do not see a housing under the cowling or behind the glovebox, then your vehicle does not have one. Many of these older vehicles (Pre 2012) were manufactured without a cabin air filter housing.
Could this Cabin Air Filter kit be modified to be fitted into a Jeep Commander?
I would not recomend doing that.
@@filterheads Is there a solution to add a Cabin Air Filter for a Jeep Commander?
What about the filter getting wet?
That is something that the manufacturers likely did not have in mind, when they designed its placement.
You sent me the wrong sized push clips for this. Too big
