I see that these posts are a couple of years old. however, I have a 2014 Stryker with 1300 miles on it (was new when I bought it). cobra drag pipes, cobra powerflow intake, cobra power commander . will hit 130 in 4th gear no problem. this bike is way more than I expected. the power never seems to let off. roll on at 100 mph and you can feel it pull hard. great bike
zz hoghead, I have an '11 Stryker with the same mods plus a 240 on the rear and I know exactly what you mean. I've done 135 before I decided....not the bike...I was going too fast. It felt like it had about another 20 mph left in it atleast. The power just seems to never stop. I can do 70 mph in 2nd before shift change. It baffles me
I've got the Cobra 2 into 1 exhaust, Cobra power flow intake and pc5 tuned with a very aggressive custom map from the master with the rev limiter at 5500 and Barons tach. It puts out 84hp and 90lb torque. I can bury that 130 speedo in 4 gears I can hit 85 in 2nd gear before i hit the limiter And rock solid stable at those speeds. I've had probably 30 bikes in my lifetime and of all the Harleys, Yamaha Warrior, VTX and other metrics I've owned, this Stryker is definitely the bad azz of the bunch
I have a 2013 Skriker, Cobra ProFlow intake Power Commander 5, Cobra tri pro exhaust . I hit 135 on a on ramp before getting on the freeway, still felt like there was plenty of power left.
Love all these comments about the low horsepower. This is a cruiser designed for good usable torque, not high horsepower. It's still faster than most of the cars and the torque is available down low.
I may be wrong on the speed, guys on stryker forum are saying they went 120 topped. But check this video I know its not the stryker but the engine is the same type vstar 1300 there is a guy who break 145
Jason S , no it's pretty normal. if it's beefed up you can hit higher but most rev limit at low 130's. I can get 131mph out of mine with a pcv and small mods.
How would it be not built as well? Differant styles maybe. Japanese Engineering vs Japanese Engineering. Worst thing on either is the plastic parts. Both bikes will last a lifetime.

My peak came out as 72.638whp @5400. 4th gear run
True.. plus you still had another gear to go with the Stryker.....I own a Stryker and I love it.. It has enough of torque for me ..
What I love about cruisers - seeing a low HP number on a 1300cc+ engine, and thinking "god damn, the torque must be insane!"

"master"? as in the man whose name begins with i ?

Ian Wynne mines stops at 131 lol

and the results? :S
What's the idea of this video. Just don't get it.
yeah a couple of videos out there. Ive taken my stryker to 105 and thats enough for me :)
That sounds amazing
is that right ??? Cool. I haven't had mine past about 80 but I'll take your word for it .
sooooooooooo.....what were yer numbers????? or was this a waste of time
Ive heard guys pulling 80 out of there strykers stock....I guess it all comes down to how the dyno is calibrated
Some 450 dirt bikes are like 50 h.s which doesn't make much less when you are comparing the difference in engine size ..
at exhaust does it have? sounds great
what were the readings?

these bikes will do well past 130 more into the 145 -150 range
we didnt run it for top speed, didnt even take into 5th gear. Next time i put it up I'll have to see.
that's really good for a 1300 v twin.Is the bike stock in the video?
sorry I missed the description disregard that
so what is a dyno run?
damn good looken bike there
What was the HP at the rear wheel?
I also own a '14 stryker matte grey w/ several mods. My top speed was 148 and felt like it had more to go. Check out my vids on my page
+TheMarquezG Mine stops at 132 :(
lol, both of you are full of shit.
TheMarquezG 131 here lol

your vids are too short and you're not going that fast?
no results?
Go figure, "no results" what good is a dyno run without specs ???
Thats a v-twin. They aren't known for big hp numbers. Nice feeling torque. but not high horse.
Whole other story there man. Alot of dirt bikes are alittle past 50hp. but its at like 9000+ rpm.
I would think a 1300 cc machine would make more ..
The speed o says 130 mph
lol why? its not a race bike.
with the intake and exhaust, you still need to get the air fuel ratio right, and this is the only way to do it accurately
M109R Horse power to boot but not built as well.
