We lived west of St. Augustine on our sailboat which was at a marina on the St. Johns river. This was in the 2010 - 2014 time frame.

That must have been great! What an amazing place to live by sailboat!

I imagine it’s strange for Europeans to get to the US and have us going on about how old this or that was when Europe had been established for centuries (even millennia) before DeLeon even got to St Augustine… it looks like you passed on going to the Fountain of Youth also. Good call… I went when I was a youngster and the “fountain” turned out to be a half meter by half meter square hole in the ground and the water they gave us to drink from it has probably taken 10 years OFF my life, 😂😂😂!!!

Love this comment! We skipped the Fountain for exactly that reason! They even wanted money for even looking at it.. But yes, a bit strange with everything being SOOO OLD 😅 Now that I think of it, it's actually a bit odd that everything is like a competitions, like "the oldest..., the most narrow..., the largest..." 🤷🏼‍♀️
