If you understand what he plays.. ie, you know what is coming next and why he does certain phrasing/sticking when he does it.. then you can do the exact same thing. It just takes years and years of dedication. But man, once the light finally comes on... there is no better enjoyment in the world. :-) In my opinion. You just need them hands to be able to play what is in your head.. It's worth the work, IMO ( took me 6 years of playing 5-6 hours a day. ) it helps to have a job working from home :-) )
I agree his left foot is unbeatable. But not perfect. They came back in at the end wayyyy fast because his left foot gradually sped up during the solos. Not criticizing at all, just saying the energy and difficulty of the solos made his left foot lead the tempo faster sometimes. And it’s perfect even like that.
@@whyhatestrangers Are you sure that wasn't an intentional change in tempo from the beginning? He led out of the last solo with a lot of energy, not just from his foot but in general.
13:33 that feeling of “AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!” after performing smth as ridiculously ridiculous and insanely beautiful as that, is a feeling only felt by few. Fr be having me think this is life’s true purpose
Honestly, the best drum solo I have ever heard or seen!! Charlie is an amazing and an incredible drummer!!! Defies physics!!! At about 6:43 in the video, his sticks look like rubber hitting that tom. This is real playing at its finest!! Unbelievable!! Simply exciting and inspiring!!! 👍👍
Lütfen yaşıyor ol! Sen çaldın benim nefesim kesildi! Bu ne yetenek, bu ne tutku, bu ne başarı! Önünde saygıyla eğiliyorum! Kollarından, ellerimden öperim ❤
This is actually so incredible to me. Just think how lucky we are to have such a treasure trove of information documented online. Such an awe inspiring solo could’ve been lost to time without. This is killer!
You know when the rest of the band walks off the stage, ducks out the side door and slips up town to the pub for a couple of beers that it’s going to be one hell of a drum solo!
He's up there with the all time greats. Not only fabulous technique but you can tap your foot to it all the way through. That's the sign of a great drummer.
Magnificent drumming. Kudos for keeping his composure and the rhythm going after dropping his stick! As a drummer myself I HATE it when I drop a stick during a gig.
Dude i swear there was like a lot of views regarding this video and there was even a comment of their acquaintance or family member meeting or having a connection to this guy
Yes, it is Dick Morrissey! I’m not sure who the other two are - I really just came to watch Charly Antolini tear up another drumset. I’m not disappointed!!
I've watched this video for more than 200times. I still am in awe. I understand what he plays, but I am still in awe everytime.
I'm the same ,I love watching this.

This guys foot is a freaking metronome, perfect tempo through the entire thing.

@@whyhatestrangers realizing now he did this entire entire thing without a click compared to modern drummers who use it for everything. Wow
I am so glad that camera existed to capture this endure performance.
Left foot steady as a rock through it all.
Playing the drums is like how one should live life. You do it with all your heart.
Agree!
Best drummer you can find on this rock in the void
Charly Antolini: "CARAVAN" - The Legendary Drum Solo is great too. MP is a great inspiration also. All my life.
