My replacement battery came with what appears to be another filter that sits at the top of the handle, right where it says dyson,
how do I replace that?

Does v6 have same battery as V7? I have V6 Cordfree SV03 and struggling to get battery in India so checking if V7 will fit?

The link for the precision screwdrivers would not fit screws on my V7 vac. There is even a review by another buyer who said it did not open his V8. I have watched EVERY video on TH-cam and it seems that a lot of people cannot remove the screws to replace batteries.

Where did you buy the battery? How much is it?
Battery set came with a tiny screwdriver that stripped the inner screw, cammed out the head. SMH. eBay sells the Dyson screws, so I have to wait for them. Video is great. Free tool with mine not so much.

Converting to dewalt has some serious upsides. These are just too small.

When purchasing a Dyson, makes me wonder how long will I be able to purchase a replacement battery once a certain model is getting towards being phased out. If you can’t find the battery you need, your machine then becomes useless.

Good instructions, love how Dyson have made battery replacement simple enough for it to be done without a specialist. I personally also decided to purchase a cheaper replacement rather than the Dyson branded one, extremely pleased with performance. You didn't actually show how to put it together, so this was not helpful.
Terrible video because you completely failed to include the part where you pull off the battery. That's the part I'm having trouble with. Removing screws was the easy part.
