For many of us in the States, college is a given unless you screw up your life in a major fashion. In China, based on what I've read, it's academic warfare, and though I don't envy you or the staggering amounts of work you put in, I applaud you for thriving in that cutthroat of an educational system.

I was told for every 1 hour of class you have 2 hours of study. I assume they do most of the class work in the class room. My classes were 1 hour, three times a week with about 3 classes MWF. On Tu&Th my 2 or 3 classes were 1.5 hours long. We had the option of learning outside the class room and independently budgeting our time. Such makes for a more well rounded person who can handle responsibility independently.

The most stressful part of school is the commute. Rather I stay in class for 3 hour and learn something than feeling like a hour+ are wasted on the way to and back from school.
